- I'll show you how to make a carport out of metal with your own hands. Metal profile flooring is not afraid of ultraviolet radiation and is much stronger than polycarbonate.
My carport fits harmoniously into a complex of gates and fences made from profiled decking. The procedure for making a carport is as follows:
- Make a drawing of the future carport, taking into account the expected wind and snow load on the covering. Make mandatory calculations of the required building materials and set of tools;
- Determine on the ground where to install the side supports for the carport. Then stretch the cord between them and determine the location of the intermediate supports (I use a metal profile pipe 60X60 millimeters);
- Using a drill or shovel, make indentations in the ground to install carport supports;
- Prepare a concrete solution and concrete the supports in the ground, observing the strict verticality of the supports. Wait 7 days until the concrete solution hardens;
- During this time, we begin assembling the carport trusses. My trusses will have the shape of a right triangle with a height of 1 meter. Using welding, we weld a truss frame from a profile pipe measuring 20X40 millimeters. Then we weld internal braces from a 20X20 mm profile pipe in increments of 1 meter;
- We align the height of all supports of the carport horizontally and weld the side horizontal supports for the trusses (metal profile 40X20 millimeters), cutting grooves for them in the supports. We weld the upper metal plugs of the supports to protect them from water;
- We install metal trusses on horizontal supports, first fixing them with welding seams strictly vertically;
- On the metal trusses, along the entire length of the carport, we weld the lathing for attaching the profile metal flooring in 1-meter increments. The lathing is made of a profile pipe 40X20 millimeters;
- We paint the carport structure with three-component paint and wait for it to dry completely;
- Using painted screws 19 millimeters long, we attach a metal profile flooring with a wave height of 17 millimeters to the sheathing. It is allowed to fasten corrugated sheets through one wave. I cut the profile flooring using an angle grinder with a thin abrasive wheel for metal. The coating of the profile deck does not burn if cutting is carried out quickly and without stopping;
- We cover the sides of the carport with profile decking with a wave height of 7 millimeters, as on gates and fences;
- We carry out electrical wiring in a corrugated pipe to connect the carport lighting. We install and connect lamps.

p.s. не критика, а дружеский совет, на улице использовать не ПВХ гофру(серого цвета), а ПНД гофру(чёрного цвета) - она намного долговечнее (полиэтилен разлагается лет сто). Удачи!!!

Трубу 40х20 надо было ложить на двадцатую полку
Как навес поживает? Ничего не повредило снегом или ветром?
Навес работает без проблем. Осадки и ветры пережил без проблем. На фермах можно подтягиваться.
Даже профи прожигают себе руки, наверное у тебя запасные есть?
Все нормально, ожогов почти не получил.
Зимой не выперло? Какой регион?
Мы живём на юге и навес для машины выстоял без проблем уже 2 зимы. Летом удобно сушить под ним рыбу, очень хорошо вентилируется и прогревается от профильного настила.
