    I say Motherhood is like an adventure, some days are tough some are good..
    •You will change
    •You will loose friends
    •Your relationship with your partner might change either +/-
    •Post partum depression is tough guys
    •Expenses will double
    • your patience will be tested

    Before I proceed, I'm shocked that Tracy Wanjiru is a mum. Goodness, she pulled the kylie jenner card. I grew up watching her on Teen Republic and I'm proud of her. Can't wait to listen to this conversation.

    I love this! Giving us facts instead of cushioning with lies how easy and blissful motherhood is all the time when in reality there’s days you want to run away lol. Motherhood is hard sometimes and that’s okay

    What a great episode...the sweats after birth😂..Motherhood made me wanna know more about God(Jesus),Because how come he created this baby inside me and made me feel a different kind of love(its like from another dimension)❤...Process is tough,but would do it again and again for my little human.

    Let me tell you... I wish I was physically part of this podcast todu ma...
    Motherhood is alooooot. From prolonged labour, constipation after birth, having oversupply.. Wuehhh I'd sleep on a mackintosh and have the baby sleep on the father's side coz everything was wet always.
    Dont even get me to the cravings. I thought pregnancy cravings end at birth.... Shock on me... Cravings became promax!! ....
    Then breastfeeding hunger eeeeh... I'd wake up at 2am to have a meal ju snacks were not enough....
    Alafu I don't know why but I'm told you'll always leave the hospital with a certain flu so if you have stitches whether CS or episostomy, coughing, sneezing and laughing will be a dreaded enemy.
    All in all I still cant remember life without my baby. Life became better🌹

    Ps. I had no idea Tracy was a mum. She is so smart. Tracy, you'll do well with your baby.

    I think on motherhood and friendships, the relationships that I have had with mums that have lasted for years are the mums who allowed me to show up for them without being too rigid. as much as we are all going through our own unique experiences in life both personally and globally those people who are not too rigid have the biggest support systems and their kids have a lot of love. And also practically like from day 1 you have people who can help you out like the way the ladies who needed to go back to school in barely 2 weeks sometimes you might not have family around but you have people who are willing to show up for you and help you thrive but most people refuse and go into isolation mode then later on say people left them.
    its usually has nothing to do with being single or even not being a mum. we want to still be your friend and adjust with you but most mums don't let us. so for me I have kept the ones who allowed me to be there for them and those are some of the strongest friendships i have and other ppl in our circle are usually shocked. That for me is how I feel the approach to motherhood has changed. Mums say they want the village but don't want to accept it when its there

    I almost threw a bash when my child stopped breastfeeding at around eight months. It was weird because I was so relieved on the inside but could not tell anyone because I feared the judgmental side eyes giving me those looks of, "Nkt! Look at these modern mothers who can't even sustain breastfeeding for a year."
    I was low-key anxious all the time about my ability to produce enough milk to satisfy the needs of my child from day one and I realize that this could have had a significant impact on my milk production. To date, I still advocate for as much breastfeeding as you are able to do and if I got another baby today, I would do everything within my power to do exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months and then sustain it for as long as the child is demanding it.

    • @mercynamikoye9084
      @mercynamikoye9084 ปีที่แล้ว

      this is a wonderful perspective. Do it for as long as you are able and don't stress. if the most is 3 months and switch to formula then do it it. if it was never possible from day 1 then its also ok. will it be hectic? definitely. But there is no prize for being a stressed mum to your baby. and there is no special exam for breastfed kids vs formula kids. I advocate for breastfeeding wholeheartedly and trying everything possible but if it refuses after a reasonable amount of time of trying then its ok to switch and move on and just enjoy the other aspects of raising your baby

    * the farting or air escapes and gas in the tummy.
    Best thing I did when I learnt I would be a mother was reach out to my mum and ask for help,also healing my inner child and resolved that I will never be a perfect mum,I will say sorry I made a mistake!

    This is an interesting episode. I am a mum and wueh, I couldn't agree more with what each has said. Motherhood is not as easy but is one of the most fulfilling and beautiful journey a mother can be on. I loved how each kept it real but at the same time insisted on how experiences differ from one to the other. Good job BKS.

    Is it just me or the idea of having kids because they will love you, sounds narcissistic.Because one is placing the responsibility of validation,on a helpless being.... it's one thing to love them and another to be validated by the little one ..

    • @hakayi9130
      @hakayi9130 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      If anything, children at this age are 'narcissistic' 😂 because everything revolves around them. They are in need of more love and care. As a people we inherently have the need to love and be loved. There is nothing wrong with that. ❤

    • @thespot2035
      @thespot2035 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hakayi9130 you misunderstood the point which is that the adult need to be loved is not (and can't be compared to) that of a child ! An adult has the tools to KNOW their needs , children are dependent on adults for guidance until they're ideally released in to world to function.How TF is this difficult to understand?! If you have kids, I'm already mourning for them because the lack of intelligence you display is astounding.
