Exactly 4 days ago on the 24th of this month my wife and I lost our first baby @38weeks. She was a baby girl ( and just like the pastor I had really wanted a baby girl ). My wife and I are both ministers of the gospel again just like this couple. We are just beginning our healing journey and today I stumbled upon this video. I am watching with my wife right now and their story is speaking directly to us. Thank you for the upload.

So true about couples divorcing after loss. Sadly, I know one too many couples. From here on out, I will be sensitive to encouraging grieving Fathers as well. This story really reminds us of how God walks with us through life's ups and downs. I just read an article that had a few profound statements;
*Grief and Love are two sides of the same coin.
*Grief can only exist where love lived first.
*Absence allows us to tap into a new depth of love,one we didn't know existed.

Oh God this was a test beyond measure to see pastor Pete and Julie crying made me cry with them .I had heard Julie's story from kambuas channel but I didn't know this Julie is pastor Pete's wife .When men of God go through this and peace is restored it makes us know that many are the afflictions of the righteous but God is there to uphold us .Thank you to God He has restored you with beautiful sons .

Death loss is the mooooooooost painful, I too have been there, loosing a, full term baby some years Back, then later years in one year I had 2 miscarriages n then lost my mum, the painful one feels is too much beyond xplaining, Pete n Julie's story will help pple out there but I think u should do such more stories n if possible bring a counselor along who can share on how to deal with such loss n grief cos weuh it's very traumatic

My brother of 32 yrs went to heaven 5.05.23. It was an accident so it came along with shock which made me lose a part of my memory. Every emotion u have captured here n more is what we experienced that day and the months that hav followed. That sting of death n pain..i know it.. i am still there.. including feeling God is bad for causing us too much pain, including not praying...yaani listening to you i feel u sharing my pain n experience.And yes we had prayed sana for him. We are all born again including him, actually h was training to b a pastor in ministry. Nobody can convince me it was the devil coz you would first convenience me whether God had taken a break of watching over him n us or if the devil had overpowered God..I wish I could one day just cry in your arms .. encouraged tho for your restoration.

Having lost a baby same way as Julie, I can relate to all this. I have been through a faith crises since exactly one year later I lost my husband .Let us just say Gods grace has been sufficient ,I am still alive and believing for a restoration.
I speak full restoration to you in a way only God can… I can’t imagine what you’ve been through but Jehovah knows, He sees and He cares! 🙏🏽

I feel incredibly blessed by Pete and Julie's testimony. Their story has renewed my faith. I'm from Tanzania and have been married for seven years. I experienced the loss of a pregnancy on 27th March 2018, an experience I can't forget, and it left me traumatized.
I've always loved and trusted God since my childhood, but there have been moments when I've felt betrayed by Him. Pete and Julie's story has rejuvenated my faith.

Kindly read When God Doesn't Make Sense by Dr James Dobson. It helped me go through a very difficult time in my faith, to understand that bad things happen to all, both the good and bad people. And it is not God that does the bad things. It is Satan but God takes what the Devil meant for evil and turns it around for our good, only if we let Him. Dr James Dobson advises saints not to come to the place that rules out God's existence by virtue of our hopes being disappointed. That would be tossing away our faith, which is more precious than silver or gold! No matter what happens, we must contend for our faith in God because it is the currency of heaven! This journey of introspection has unveiled deep-seated emotions and experiences that I had suppressed. I must face these truths and embark on a healing process to ensure my well-being.
Amazing conversation. One of my experiences was battling with negative thoughts and emotions of why has God allowed certain things in life. Battling depression myself and negative toxic thoughts of maybe im cursed or bewitched had a hold of my mind. The pain i felt of feeling alone with shut doors. Went from many friends to no friends. Missed opportunities. Nothing seemed to be working out. Through the storm ive learnt to love God despite the circumstances. Truth be told it is hard to trust God. Even if it doesn't make sense i know God is taking me through a season of growth.
Yes Yes! Seasons are sometimes very tough but they could be there to make us better, more patient, more loving, more compassionate and be able to empathize with others when they go through similar situations. I pray that you overcome ever one of these challenges…
This is what marriage should be.. together in and out of fire . This is the best story I have heard in a long while and how they love each other is such a beautiful thing to see.

I lost my grandpa 2 months ago n i couldn't even attend his burial coz there is a part of me that couldn't handle seeing him in that casket😢.I loved him soooo much that i cry each time i think of him,i dont know how i will ever get over it. I just love pastor pete n Julie and thanks pastor Don for letting the story flow👏

I have cried, gotten angry and felt all the emotions throughout this conversation. Thank you for bringing this couple here, Don. As a born again Christian and a pastor's kid, grief and loss are areas that need to be given attention today more than ever. Church leaders and their families just like the rest of the world go through loss and grief, only that the world expects them to be strong. I really felt Pete's pain when he talked about suicide while at the hospital after they learned that their daughter was not alive. Greif is enough to suck life out of anyone, however strong they are. God atusaidie sana. It is not well kabisa in this area.

I lost a daughter, 14 yrs, 2021, I can well relate, I was disappointed, Im in ministry I couldn't see how God can reward if this is my reward, but during all that time to now I love God even more, He has truly comforted me.

I have cried a good one … went through the same experience Feb 17th 2020 but Its amazing how GOD heals and restores. Through my experience my faith grew and I learned true meaning of GODS PEACE AND COMFORT. To anyone experiencing the same just know GOD GOT YOU.

I lost my bestfriend last year Dec. I was in that hospital room and I watched her transition. It was such a sudden death that I was left traumatised. She had gotten married a month prior so we had so many plans for the future. Her hubby is such an amazing young man so I was looking forward to thier future together. It has taken a year to grow back my Faith and Trust in God because I felt like He had let me down. She was born again and we were believing for her healing so I didn't understand why God would allow her death. Watching this has brought sooo many memories but has also validated how I felt and still feel sometimes. I have cried soo much but I thank God I bumped into this in this season. Thank you for sharing your story. God bless you.

Now I understand when I told God I wasn't ready for the path he put me when I had an accident.. At first I asked God to please reverse the situation but I had to keep going. Three years later still believing and trusting God will stabilize my walking again... It's been a journey i wouldn't wish on anyone... May God keep blessing you Pete and Julie

Am happy couples are talking about miscarriage this days, more couples go through this, and it bring healing, may God continue blessing your Marriage.
I gave birth to my child in June and in the hospital I was in, I met a lady who was very supportive in my labour and congratulated me after delivery, only to find out her son was not doing so well. We kept praying together, went to see her in the hospital during my baby vaccination...later on, I found out that she lost her son, this is a third child she is losing. She may need your help.
Oh how heartbreaking 💔

On the 25th of October, last month I also lost my firstborn daughter 5 hours after a CS delivery. Am so broken cause am also a pastor's wife, we had prepared to welcome our baby, I didn't even see her as they were resuscitating her cause I was under the effects of anesthesia. Holding my child's lifeless body was really painful and all I could think was that God had failed me big time, currently going through the healing process and such stories have been carrying me through since the burial of my daughter. At first, I thought I was the only one going through this but hearing other people's stories has helped me be easy on myself. If the Kariukis survived it and they can Smile I have hope that My husband and I will too by God's grace.

On 17th DEC 2019 we lost our 3rd born son lived 3hours....our story is same as Julie n hubby....1st time also seeing my hubby cry in loud voice....but who is God he restored back in 2021 we were blessed with a girl who is now 2 n a half years....

Wow!! This was a testimony of Gods goodness and faithfulness. I realize the medical fraternity is frail when it comes to how we deliver and handle giving bad news. As an Obgyn i will confess to occassionally almost with years of experience feeling numb. i have now learned to seek getting counselors involved and getting counseling as well to deal with clients who loose their babies. Hospitals need proper protocols that help clients deal with grief and the life lost. Asante for this wonderful episode
