I'm new here, so forgive me if I'm missing something, but if you channel really only has 10k subs, then I'm shocked. U seem like u could be one of the top whiskey reviewers. Seems u have the pallette and u seem very comfortable on camera. Wish u luck in cracking the TH-cam algorithm bc I think u could have a great career in whiskey reviews. Cheers.

Would have loved to see you pull out the RR15 to see how far off the Disco 12 is from it. Stuff & Whiskey actually picked the Disco 12 over the RR15 in a blind.
Thoughts on the OGD 16 are interesting. Out of two reviews I’ve seen, one said it’s barely better than the $28-29 OGD 114 and you seem to love it. Rollercoaster.
I’m going to do a full review of it. But to say it’s barely better than OGD114 just sounds like an intentional exaggeration for effect, or someone trying to be a contrarian. It’s delicate and nuanced at 100 proof and would benefit at 114+, but it’s not in the same league as OGD114.
Great comparisons! Given how you reacted to the OGD 16, I'm wondering if I messed up by not picking one up at the distillery this past weekend. I'm going to tell myself I wouldn't enjoy it, lol!😂
The ‘24 Cellar is a pleasant pour but honestly just disappears on the palate WAY too quickly. There just isn’t a condensed flavor there

Lucky enough to get the OGD 16, haven't opened it yet, but looking forward to when I do. Disco 12 is better than 2024 Birthday Bourbon IMO, especially for the price. Might need to let it open up though since it was a fresh crack in my comparison. I have always been a fan of the Disco lineup, and 12 is one of the best. Cheers!

@@DrumsAndDrams I only have 3 samples, one of which is this year' it blinded last behind 20 and 22 as well as a michter's 10yr 23A, so I would much rather back that up.
Dang. Sounds like I need to explore some other years of OFBB so I have a better sense of how they compare and what makes a particular batch great.
@@DrumsAndDrams My sample of the 24 was a neck pour he said, so maybe on a weeks rest it will kill bottles. I would be stoked to own one but for my cash I gotta go with the michters 10 bourbon 2023A
Bardstown #12 wouldn’t make my top 50 but it’s very good. I scored it an 83.3 and 86.33 on two separate pours. It’s very good but not special to me. I felt very similar about #11. Good to very good but not exceptional or unique whiskey. Outside of the stats, I don’t understand why you and others think it’s one of the best of 2024 but nose and palettes sometimes differ. Great review!
I haven’t blinded it yet, so I wonder if that might change things. Maybe it’ll exacerbate some of the “rough around the edges” qualities I find that perhaps I’m forgiving of because I like the profile so much. We’ll see!
Please list 10 bourbons this year let alone 50 better than disco 12.

I try to be a respectful member of the whiskey community but this comment did make me lol.
@@PhilAwrye Walker has an exceptional palate and takes meticulous notes on hundreds of blind pours per year. We rarely disagree, which is why I think this is an interesting comment and totally necessitates that I blind this against other top pours of the year.
