Fantastic job with this series. I enjoyed the musical component and all the notes on all the samples. And to top it all off the outfits were stellar.

Great job. I wanted to send you a center plate, fast ball that you should and easily hit it far out of the park. I know you had another barrel of KOK from 2019 that you loved and this is my favorite of the three open bottles I have from KOK over the last five years. Although reviews (yours included) from recent annual releases of KOK haven’t been as favorable, I think those initial 2019-2020 releases were epic for modern American whiskeys. In the last five years, among bottles I own, this barrel and two different Evan Williams 23 year old releases were my top three overall bourbon’s and earned 93-96/100 points in my personal scoring system.

Amazing guess on this one. Kudos to you!

Thanks for the straight up comment! I had this one at Feis Ile 2024 along with the local oysters. That was a treat! The whole experience of the distillery during their day at the festival with this dram & the oysters made it a memorable and a rather enjoyable experience for me. Keep it coming! 😉

It is bourbon matured and yes has a sherry finish. Arran is my favorite distillery! Keep the scotch reviews coming! Love the channel!

I recently tried to get into Scottish whiskey and have tried more than a few and thought that i'd splash out and buy some 12 year old Macallan and although it's not bad, i'd much rather have a 14 year old Balvenie for a similar price (less than £80 where i am). I've heard it said a few times that Macallan have a very good marketing team and thats why some people think that the price is justified... (it isnt).

I am halfway through the C924 and I am just not into this one - will probably just leave it on the shelf and revisit in a couple of months.

I really enjoyed the ECBP A124. Picked it out of a 6-way blind

They will not tell how and where each batch is pulled from and for whatever reason, cuz before you know it, every "reviews" will then be calling themselves the "experts"... Its all opinion and it works perfectly how it is now....a "magician" will never expose their tricks.

I was able to try the 2023 and 2017 batches back to back and they were nearly identical. I walked away thinking that I have a JDSBBPR that is on par or better. Luckily, my wife was able to get a 2023 at srp so I can test that out one of these days. Perhaps 2024 is the outlier?

Where do you find the batch number on the bottle or the two?
