GameCube one can be played on android in 4k if your Device allows for it .I play it in 2k with a few hacks .runs perfectly 👌
Also there might be HD texture mod available for GameCube. I know modders have done that for other GC games

I won't even give you a chance to explain... Turok evolution is god mode gaming and tbh with your long ass sellout ad? I left the video before your ad even finished? Loved this game as a kid. One moment that I've never forgotten was when I scored a decapitating head shot with the poison arrow, which also triggered the poison death animation.
So I watched this lizard man with no head double over in pain and proceed to vomit profusely from his neck stump.
    Fucking awesome.

I was so obsessed with this game as a kid. It ignited my love for three things: video games, drawing and dinosaurs. This game started it all for me when I got it for the PS2 and it was definitely one of the biggest highlights from my childhood. Yeah, it's not a perfect game in the slightest but I still love the hell out of it. Even to this day, I still love it to pieces. It'll always hold a special place in my heart, always

This game is a little nostalgic to me but I do remember that my copy on GameCube was bugged and I couldn't walk past this invisible wall to progress through the game. Had to use cheats to unlock the other levels but had fun with it. I remember it being the first rated M game I was allowed to play as a kid.

The GameCube version (and maybe this happened with the other versions, but idk) also randomly took away some of your weapons, only to give them randomly back to you 1 or 2 chapters later. I remember being without my trusty Sniper Pistol for all of Chapters 4 and 5, when I could have really used it.

My dad bought me this game when I was 8. I was too scared to finish the level where you had to infiltrate the base. It took me another year to finish the game lol. He didn’t know about the dismemberment, he just saw a dinosaur and thought I’d like it lol. Anyway as a kid, this game and the world it created (especially the city) blew me away.

I actually liked the flying levels as well because of the epic soundtrack and the great action sequences!
Turok Evolution really captured that epic feeling of a lost world full of dinosaurs and armies of another realm. The very first turok tried to create this primordial dinosaur atmosphere as well but technically was not able to do so. And the second Turok did not even try to do it ... I mean how many dinosaurs are in turok 2? It is more of a sci fi theme/genre mash up then anything else.
Also the first two turok games had synth heavy soundtracks which were great on their own, kind of like the 80s flicks... but Turok Evolution really tried to create an epic orchestrated one.
I just think it is sad that they did not really finish the story arc.

Turok: Evolution was one of the first games I played on the original Xbox as a kid, and it completely blew me away. I had never played the previous Turok games before, so it was easy for me to love Evolution. 20 years later, I can definitely see that my love for the game is only due to nostalgia; I only love it now cause I loved it as a kid. Though, given my track record playing old games for the fun of it, chances are I would've eventually gotten around to playing it at some point in the past two decades, especially since it's an FPS with dinosaurs in it.
But I can also see why people, especially fans of the older games, would dislike it. In my honest opinion now, the game isn't terrible, but it's not amazing either. It's simply fun, and I agree that the jungle levels are the very best in the game. They've always stuck out in my mind, and I remember being 7 years old and pretending to be dinosaurs with my friends in the woods because of this game. I also hated the flying levels, but I think if they were done better, they could've been awesome. The one thing that is flawless in this game to me is the music; it's absolutely stellar, and I love the track you chose to play over the video, even if it was from one of the flying levels. All in all, it's a pretty cool game, and it will always hold a place in my heart.
PS: I loved the weapons as well. Those things were freakin epic to use. I even got in trouble with my parents because I went into school and drew a picture of one of the lizard men puking his guts up after being poisoned with an arrow lmao.

No no, please, keep talking more about the weapons. I miss the genuinely different weapons you'd find in early 2000's games. I miss when any random gun could be either secretly or loudly based. So many games where weapons have no real unique utility, or they do have one but it's generally very underwhelming.
Unique weapons alone are why I replayed Borderlands 2 over and over.

Got to experience this at a friend's house on the PS2, and while I never got more than a few levels in I have fond memories of it. I loved that the multiplayer had NPCs on certain maps and the weapons were delightful; I especially loved the spider mine. The first time I encountered a T-Rex was legitimately frightening; I don't think I'd ever felt so small compared to an enemy in a game before.

Sometimes when I pick up a new weapon or an extra life I shout "I am Turok" and sometimes when I am swimming in a game I hear Ada's voice saying "Turok, your oxygen is low". Also whenever I see corpses beside a river I hear Ada saying "slaughter by the river of souls"

I completely agree with your opinion on it being loved and hated. I just wish the company had more time to polish it. I’m actually surprised no fans have tried fixing it with some mods.
Side note evolution is the origin start of turok 1’s character tal’set.

For as average or mediocre as this Game was, I have a pretty soft spot for it since it was my first ever experience with Turok Series (in the same way that Jurassic Park 3 was my experience with Jurassic Park in general).
I honestly think this should get a remaster with improved graphics (and by that I don't mean on the level of Halo CE/Halo 2 Anniversary, just looking more cleaner and less blurry in terms of visuals and sounds) and improved controls and QOL enhancements to the Gameplay.

I'd say this game deserves a remake instead of a remastered, where they fix the controls, improve and maybe add missions (especially fix those flying missions), add more weapons for sure too and more consistent enemy variety. I used to play the multiplayer so much with my cousins we always had a blast I'd say re-work the MP maps and add some more too.

I use to watch my brother play this cause the dinosaur on the cover scared me into not playing it. Eventually I did play it and it was a lot of fun.
It still blows my mind how many unique death animations were in the game, based on where you hit them and whether or not you dismembered them or not. It was so cool.

Hi. I'm the single person who liked the flying levels lmao.
I played this as a 7 year old and it was my first Turok game. I actually didn't have any games that let you fly before that, and it blew my little mind! So for me, I know now that they're actually pretty bad, but the specatacle of flying in some of those larger environements really stuck with me. For me this is game was the adventure that stuck with me the most from childhood. Thanks for giving it a fair review.

This game always holds a special place in my heart. I have the ps2 version and yeah definitely lots of content missing,
Mainly the reason I always remember this game fondly is just because it was the first actual violent game I played. The only other games i played around the same time were Red Faction 1 and HL. The swarm bore and the poison arrows were things that I would remember in passing when playing a game with lots of mega violence.
I especially remember begging my older brother to play through it so i could watch him beat it. and also because my parents definitely wouldnt have liked me playing it at my little baby man age. But I would occasionally play a few levels with the help of my older brother.
It's definitely no where near a perfect game, but its still fun. Those flying levels definitely arent hard but they are just infuriating af (had something similar happen to that part with going in the pipe)
I just really really REALLY WISH we could get a fully realized version of this style of Turok.

I love that treehouse muliplayer map!
It sucks that only Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil got a Remaster.
Turok 3, Evolution and the Reboot really deserve one too.
The Reboot on PC is fine, it runs mostly without problems, but it has really limited options due to probably being a console port first.
I'm sad that the Turok franchise is dead, also HELL YEAH WE NEED MORE DINOSAUR SHOOTERS!

After playing the reboot last week, it really doesn't deserve a remaster. The pc version also isn't very good but that's for next week's video.

Fond memories as a kid. Sad it didn't get a full development cycle to be on par, if not better than previous Turok games. Glad to see it still covered and I would love for this version of Turok to return to form as it's the most interesting and vivid of them to me.

I remember struggling a lot in this game as a kid and I have a very vivid memory of finally getting to the end of one of the suspended city levels after being stuck for a couple of days, the one which you have to kill a lot of paratroopers, I also had about six to seven marines alive to almost the end, when suddenly a random enemy trooper appeared and I was in front of a shotgun marine, he killed me one shot from full health and I wasn't even mad because it just made me like those marines even more than I already did.

Oh man the memories this brought back. We weren't supposed to be playing games like this but one kid on the street parents didn't care or pay attention to the games we played. So as often as we could without being too suspicious we would play this and other M rated games at his house.

Man I want this series to be revived. Turok 2 was one of my first games. If turok got the doom treatment I'd be so happy

My go-to multiplayer map was the bunker. It had said bunker in the center of the map with trenches everywhere. If you reached the console on the wall, all the shutters and doors around the map would close and artillery would fall proceeding to kill anyone trapped on the surface.

One of my strongest memories is playing this game with my brother. We'd always go to the one map that had the raptors and not even kill each other, just tag team and fuck up as many raptors as we could. Also there's a point in the game where you walk out of a cave and there's a rex eating a carcass just outside. If you sneak past it and hide behind the waterfall, the rex would go and kill all the lizardmen in the area for you.

Buckners t tex gave me re occurring nightmares , this game had a lot of effort out into the enemies and for what little lore it had I love wished they had action figures of these guys, also I realized the flying missions were like lore dumps especially the last one and liked seeing all the vehicles the sleg had

Honestly I love the game issues and all, and I can also say I loved the flying parts, I just enjoy the sounds, the weapons, obviously the environment, I'm not tech savy so I don't know how to play it again properly.
I admit I'd have loved so reloading stuff but eh can let it slide, be nice to see Turok come back.

For me this game was fantastic. I was about 12 or 13 when I first played it and it was fun to me even with Halo: Combat Evolved occupying much of my time as well. I recently played it again on the gamecube (because that's what I had growing up) and all I was really aching for was modern controls. Just give it that and poop it out on every console for us to buy...again

i remember playing this game on gc when i was younger having a good time despite its flaws when i thought, “it’s not that fun here, but maybe it’s better on pc?” and now i’m currently making the begrudging effort to finish it to put my nostalgia demons to rest. it’s so much more painful to get through with the mouse acceleration, especially on the flying levels
