While I can't speak for sure with Cauldron's games, I recall hearing somwhere how another "Activison Value" company, Fun Labs, basically got given not even a full year of development and a shoestring budget for most of their titles. So if I had to guess, Activison probably forced Cauldron to make shovelware with too little time or money to put the effort in if what I remember hearing about Fun Labs also applies, Gene Troopers was published by a different publisher, so maybe they gave Cauldron more time and money, at least compared to when they got acquired by activision.
yesterday Civvie11 did a video on Chaser, now we need to see him do this game that is like prey was an rpg made by an Eastern European studio. also still waiting for Guncaster.
Hey Jarek! I was wondering if you could maybe take a look at ‘Codename Eagle’. Why-? Well because that’s the game that started the battlefield franchise! The game caught the eye of D.I.C.E. Who bought the development studio of ‘codename eagle’ and decided to make a sequel to it which in turn ended up becoming ‘battlefield:1942’.
The main character sounds like a discount Optimus Prime. I was half expecting him to yell out "AUTOBOTS, ROLL OUT!" during the bad ending, instead of "I am their leader. I will lead them to war."
The colorful art style of this game reminds me of another highly ambitious Eastern European shooter: Precursors. It blends shooting, RPG, open world exploration, driving (including mechs) and space combat into one very interesting, if highly flawed, package. Oh, and it has the shrink gun from Duke Nukem. Here are two trailers: th-cam.com/video/MBFaxUbvbms/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/Aqqh46tfdN0/w-d-xo.html Might be worth checking out, in addition to the other games from the same developer, which are similarly ambitious, just set on planet Earth.
One of my friends, still say, that Precursors is actually one of the most underrated games ever. Maybe because of the very bad english release. For her, Precursors is actually one of the best games ever. Has much of that, Star Citizen want to be someday. Parkan 2 is also a very ambitious game... but well, not for the good in this case.

The REAL Mass Effect ending right here.
At least this game has two distinct endings unlike Mass Effect 3 which had one just with different colors.
