Honestly getting kinda sick of all these manufacturers trying to throw turbos in their trucks now and getting rid of naturally aspirated engines. Sure turbos put out a pretty good amount of power, but over time they will cause more issues than they’re worth when you have to replace sensors, wiring, solenoids, and possibly even the entire turbo itself, and they’re still very inefficient on fuel if you’re the type of person that likes to stick your foot in the pedal like me. Not to mention that the turbo lag can be extremely annoying at times. It happens to me all the time in my 2.0 ecoboost escape. I used to really like turbo motors because of the power output, but now I’m kinda second guessing them after all the issues my brother had with his Chevy Malibu’s turbo, and also having to replace a wastegate solenoid on my escape that was a pain in the ass to get to. This will probably be my first and last turbo vehicle that I own, I just seem to hear more and more bad things about them more than I do good things.

If turbos stay oiled properly and are cooled properly they're great. I'd be willing to bet the oil lines feeding that turbo are the bare minimum that the turbo manufacturer requires for proper lubrication.

@@bobbysmith9411 Toyota buyers prefer older outdated designs and technology in general. Ask any Toyota owner, the only thing that matters for them would be Resale value and perceived reliability. They don't generally appreciate features, performance, dynamics etc. If Toyota launched a highly dynamic, feature-rich, powerful & exciting truck, they would lose their potential buyers in the name of unreliable technology (what happened with the new Tundra). Or else they would just say that it's a Toyota and it'll last forever (even if there are lots of issues & recalls. They simply won't admit it)
