- In this video we take my Jeep Cherokee XJ on a trip to explore some rural backroads. I was really impressed with how my Jeep Cherokee XJ handled everything from the gravel roads to the interstate highways.

Just got the gold 94 Cherokee goin again. Steering column switch connectors were loose. Kept dying. 190,000 runs like new. Luv this channel man. Keep doing what you are doing. This will...be huge.

What part of West Virginia are you in
When you installed your 3” lift did you have to add an adjustable track bar and do a transfer case drop or anything? I’m kinda confused about the contradiction all over the internet!
Yes we added an adjustable track bar that came with the lift kit, otherwise the body of the Jeep was off center and didn’t look right. Instead of dropping the transfer case, we did a slip yoke eliminator to get rid of the driveline vibrations. You can do a transfer case drop but I think that is just more of a band aid solution. have some questions here, did you change the steering stabilizer on the xj, if yes why and what did you notice. also, why do a lot of xj owners have multiple ones like 2 or 3 lol, thanks for the vid
Yes we changed the steering stabilizer, it was recommended just because I still had the stock one and would be better to upgrade, I didn’t really notice a change but we installed it along with the lift and wheels and tires so I wouldn’t expect to notice a change when there were other variables involved. And I can’t speak for others but I personally would like to get another XJ because I enjoy restoring and preserving them, and I’d also like to have one to build up for off-roading and not just to preserve and keep nice and clean. Is that a 3" lift with 33" tires?
3 inch lift with 31s
@@KCars Your xj looks beautiful. I'm thinking about building a xj that can do 80% of the trails and I'm firm on the 3" lift but I'm still debating on whether I go with 31'' tires or 33'' tires and have to cut the fender. I prefer to keep my fenders.
@@iblongshia sweet! If you prefer to do minimal trimming then 31s are what I’d recommend. I still had to trim a little bit of the front bumper end caps even with 31s
XJ is also known at the sport too right?
I’m not sure what you mean. My XJ is the sport trim level if that’s what you’re asking?
@@KCars yeah I think that’s I mean. What does XJ mean? So 1997-2001 Jeep Cherokees models had the Limited, Sport or Classic edition. Is the XJ version one of those models?
@@HollyGBR XJ just designates that it is a 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee, it’s not a trim level. There were several other trim levels in the earlier years but in the newest productions years, the trim levels included: sport, classic, SE, limited, freedom edition, and 60th anniversary edition
