- Hello everyone! 👋
Today I have for you a very grand piece in its entirety! This was written by Vierne, who was born with serious visual impairment, yet was the organist at Notre Dame Cathedral for 37 years! This piece was written during his time at the cathedral, and hence made for the incredible acoustics that it has to offer. While my church is not nearly as large as Notre Dame, I think it is safe to say that it does a pretty good job of reverberating the magnificent sounds! I hope you enjoy!

Brilliant, what always fascinates me is reading Louis Viernes work is blind from birth… yet created works that are used today. This is my favorite along with none other than Carillon De Westminster his most famous that sounds familiar and peaks curiosity.
It's truly amazing how he overcame blindness and still created such beautiful music!! 🤩

I absolutely love how you play so calmly, yet you have so much more energy than those who flail around like they are having an emotional meltdown that is exploding in their head. That is an incredible skill and accomplishment to have! That will open up places for you to visit as an organist and play extremely old and fragile historical instruments! The curators would never let uncontrollable “masters” touch them due to their fragility and the years, in many cases, it takes to restore and maintain those rare and precious organs. You are so blessed to have that great focus yet control. Such a remarkable piece you just presented to us from an outstanding composer. Thank you immensely for sharing this masterpiece with us.

Eggsellent!! Do you have any plans to do any concert tours? I'm sure that our treasure, Anna Lapwood, would be delighted to see you at the Royal Albert Hall, London UK! Here in Manchester UK we have a glorious organ in the Bridgewater Hall, and there is a wonderful Cavaille-Coll currently being restored in the Town Hall... there are videos of Jonathan Scott on TH-cam of him playing those.
They aim to have the Notre Dame grand organ playing again on 16th April 2024 on the fifth anniversary of the devastating fire...

Thank you! Haha no, I don't have any plans to go on tour. 😆 That's quite an endeavor! I would LOVE to go to Europe and try playing on the many old beautiful organs there, though! 🤩 Especially Notre Dame, although I'm sure it would take a miracle to be allowed to play on it. 😅
