Thank you! Wish I’d known this was even a possibility BEFORE trying to remove the front bumper. Only found this video after the problem occurred! Apparently, a fender bender prior to my ownership put a lot pressure on this particular bolt that attached the bumper support to the frame. Wasted almost an hour working with it before googling and finding your video. This saved my afternoon, at least!
My 2006 Sierra bed bolt spun. I got it out using the same technique. I noticed the bed bolt and nut are mis-shapened for a friction fit so it does not work loose. That combined with the rust was too much. Used a lot on penatrating fluid, back and forth, etc, but when I thought is was good to go, the nut spun. Bummer.
See any towing capacity reduction with a fix like this? I have 2 of 6 bolts that a spinning loose on my hitch and im wondering if it will be safe to tow with it like that.

Hopefully the frame is strong enough to handle whatever you’re towing, I’d want to reinforce that bolt hole
Woah ur a genius

Have it welded on at the Muffler Shop in addition to the Bolts Loose Bolts = Broken Bolts
The problem I have is there is no access hole to snake a nut back in.
drill a hole
why not put a washer on the replacment?
nvm lol
@@IIMRCrashII I went through this same train of thought
Why not just get new nuts?
