This is my 2nd time of reviewing the XP-Pen tablet, the Deco 01 v2!
I got this product sponsored by my friend Han and big thanks for him.
Due to request from my viewer , I decided to do a practicability test with buttons on tablet plus pen to see whether they are fully functional and works with Photoshop , Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects & 3Ds Max
Below are the pros & cons of the product after i use it for a week.
Pros:
Customizable function keys for most of the software
Works good with Photoshop & Illustrator
( for more detail technical test , check it in the video )
Cons:
Does not work properly with 3ds max
Might have problems when setting multiple key profile
In overall I really enjoyed using this tablet for Zbrush sculpting, Photoshop painting, or even taking notes over the meetings. The other issues were minor where at first i could not get it installed properly because there is an old wacom installer. To make sure it works you have to uninstall all other tablet drivers.When you draw, the annoying scratching noise is there but can easily forget about it while listening to music.
If you need a tablet as a casual user , as a high school student, have your daily drawings, take notes with microsoft word or even as a 2D/3D artist with controlled budget, I highly recommend this tablet! The size is fantastic and the tablet itself is great, the weight of the pen and tablet itself have a premium feel to it.

i hope you see my message , so when i got my Xp pen deco mini 7 tablet , they told me to peel off the protective with the yellow sticker to pell it off , the protective seems similar to yours in the video , i'm curious if it's not needed to peel it off , because they didn't give any other protective film to protect the tablet from getting scratches

Thanks for the review! This video is informative! I want to buy a graphic tablet but I'm stuck between wacom ctl 472 and xp pen deco 01 v2 ( I'm a beginner). Which would you recomend? I heard about the xp pen deco 01 v2 having lag or other problems when used with photoshop or krita. But it seems that you don't have that problem. hi thanks for the compliments. regarding lag issues , if you click too much of the buttons on the tablet , yes , it will lag sometimes. but that is still depending on your computer specs. If you are not using those express keys on the tablet , you shouldnt have the lag issues. As for choosing in between wacom ctl472 or deco 01v2, definitely this Deco is on the winning side. Pen pressure , sensitivity . Drawing experience will be much better.

Hi! Love your videos, could you help me decide between XP pen deco01 V2 and Gaomon M10K. I'm an architect and need it for Photoshop, sketching, etc. Which one would you recommend? Budget is a bit of an issue too, so I'm looking between the 80-100 $ range max.
You can get Gaomon , better , but not the M10k , try newer model with USB-type C connector. Cause I personally prefer Gaomon in terms of drawing experiences, but just that the older models from gaomon using micro-USB , not as good as those which uses type C.

Hi there , for drawing experience I prefer Gaomon M10K , the smoothness on the surface when you draw are better , it feels wacom like , the only bad thing is the micro-USB connector get loosen easily.

For 3D animation I often use a mouse , but sometimes when I need to illustrate that for my student , I will use the tablet and there are times also in class if I need to draw a lot , I will even use tablet for 2D & 3D purposes.
quick question, if I just want to use it as a touch screen type function, can I lock the sensitivity so the amount of pressure I apply doesn't effect the pen stroke depth?
you can tweak the curve to produce constant pressure

I recently ordered deco 01 v2 at a cost of 5.3k in amazon republic day sale so i think it should be a good investment for an amateur graphic designer and animator

Both are having similar functions , 2 differences, 1st extra 8 multimedia keys on Huion model. 2nd young color , vibrant. Just choose which brand you would prefer and go for it

The dial is bonus for me.. price is not my problem (for this two)
In my opinion, xP pen is a better brand , with higher quality products, but it would be a bit unfair as well because normally veikk products are cheaper. But deco 01v2 is a pretty old model, so I will say you can safely try out the vk1060pro as it is newer model and has rotate dial. Generally the compatibility is fine, just that the material they use to make the tablets are cheaper from the current tablets I have for both brands

Any OTG will do regardless of brand. I can interchange other brands OTG with xp pen tablets also without any problems.
Shall I buy XP Pen Deco 01 v2 or Huion HS611? It'll be my fist drawing tablet.
Both are great. Just that I feel xp pen product are more stable. Huion's pen are more comfortable to hold . And huion's drawing surface are slightly smother.

yeah , it works on illustrator. both mouse button function can be map onto the pen.

Hola, ¿te refieres a deco 01 v2? o una deco 02 real. Toda la tableta gráfica viene con sensibilidad a la presión. Entonces no tendré problemas

(illustrator) I have a problem, when using mouse, I can use brush and all tools, but when I use my pen tablet, it doesn't let me to do anything, just a flashing sound of Windows 10, thank you in advance.
Try turn off and on windows ink options, if it doesnt work still , try update to latest installer from web and see if it helps

Hi there , thanks for reaching out. I would suggest you to get a newer model which is on the huion as deco 01 v2 is pretty old and usually newer models still got supports on software. As for which model to choose , you can consider if you need to use the multimedia button for songs , can go with HS611, but personally I will prefer HS1161 , which just serves only the work purpose cause I usually plays music from my phone.
Sir can you tell us what gadget is best for beginners professional to draw outline. I find it really difficult to draw outlines and it really take longs. Can you please suggest tablet or touch pad what is much better ?
And also please do suggest , shall I move to tablet. But I don't have enough budget and I find it hard to draw cericreater using touch pad.
@@bepsypatel2176 you should really consider a graphic tablet. Touch pad is hard to draw for me too. If you are under budget , you can consider other brand too like the veikk A15pro . Or even the smaller Xp Pen Deco mini 7. I had review those 2 tablet in my channel as well . You can check them out.

I am gaining knowledge by what other artists are using and following. All the more I am thinking to persuae a degree in animation . At some point I also feel that using iPad makes job easy and its very handy to use. And I know that using display tablet rather then I pad is that i can create using different tools whereas with I pad I will be able to use and create with dedicated softwares only. @@bepsypatel2176 if you aim for just personal interest or small projects , can go with ipad , if proper career , go with pc and graphic tablet. Procreate smoothed the line for you , but when creating animation and learning industry tools , better train your hand to draw sturdy.

I want to buy a graphic tab but confused in huion hs611 vs xp pen deco . Huion has 266 rps and xp pen has 200 max report rate
for Xp pen it is more than or at least 200 rps. but to me honestly it doesnt have much difference. Both are great budget tablet. Huion has more configurable buttons and plus music playback buttons on top of the tablet. I will be buying more other brands of tablet soon that would include Huion and till that time I can give you a more accurate advice on that. If you are teaching a normal subject like math, science , writing notes, go with mini 7w, if you are teaching design subject , go with bigger tablet , deco01v2. Veikk A15 has some compatibility issue if u are working with multiple software , but nonetheless ,it is the cheapest among all.

@@ayushijain909 , it depends on your preferences, personally I think drawing or teaching art related subjects should go with at 10x6 inch , bigger areas let your hand wrist have a bigger movement , and sometimes you need bigger area to draw. But for writing , try not getting a very big board as it takes time to get used to it.

It wont , it feels quite comfortable to hold it and with better grip with the nice rubber around it

It could possibly be that u dint turn on thr pressure button at the top menu bar , icon that looks like a few circle with dot on it

Hi there thanks for reaching out. First of all , I havent got my hands on the Veikk A15 pro yet , so my opinion will be base on what I have which is Xp Deco with online reviews and infos. XP pen have a Tilt detection function which Veikk A15 pro doesnt have , Deco supports android & Veikk A15 does not have. But there is 1 thing the Veikk has extra which is the dial function for you to adjust brush size , rotate and etc in an easier way. Personally I will still prefer Deco , if you have the budget. May I will review one of the Veikk tablet in future so that I can truly learn what this tablet get to offer , thanks.

@@aries4571 maybe try a different driver , there are 2 versions , stable build or the beta new UI driver. sometimes it could be that driver issues, but so far it is working for me.

Hi comparing the 2 , veikk has the extra dial roller button but no tilt function support. Deco vice versa. But overall build quality , deco is more solid in terms of the material.
