I bought this tablet when it was released exactly a year ago.
What I like:
- Can be used by an android ( but I don't use it since I find the screen small, I use a 27 inch and 21 inch monitors).
- 8000 levels of pressure sensitivity
- 8 shortcuts buttons that work pretty good
- the pen weighs nicely
- 10x6 to size which is really good for the price (70$ with shipping and taxes a year ago, I think it's 60-50 with shipping and taxes now, which is even cheaper).
- Not only it's good for beginners, but also good for professionals too.
- The two shortcuts on the pen are placed nicely and they are easily reachable
- you get around 10-8 extra nibs that are durable as hell (I still use the one that came with the pen and I don't think I am gonna replace it anytime soon since it still doing greatly. I am not even sure if I'm gonna be alive to use all the nibs while I am still alive)
-You can assign different shortcuts for each application.
Cons:
- The shortcuts sometimes are useless since 8 buttons are not enough. I prefer to use keyboard for shortcuts now.
- You can't see the shortcuts buttons in the dark. I solved it by buying stickers that light in the dark and put it on the buttons.
I wish I have a wacom tablet just to test the quality differences, if it even exists.

This tablet actually have more advantages but I forgot to mention them. If you're planning to get a tablet, just get this one and it will easily last +5 years and each nip will work perfectly for 2 years (it depends on how much art you make and pressure sensitivity. If you make the tablet sensitive in the settings, the nibs will surely last more). Also you get 3 gloves (I did get 3 gloves but I think it's a mistake ;) ) which means you will have spare gloves over the years along with the 9 nibs you get. All of this with 8k pressure sensitivity and 10x6 inch size and 8 hotkeys for 70$ (including shipping for me)???
I would consider this tablet the best budget tablet ever in terms of longevity and quality.
Oh and did I mention the tablet's program? you can assign different shortcuts for each program with re-assigning it everytime. I use photoshop and blender and krita, I like to have different shortcuts for each program.

This drawing tablet is really really good I own the same tablet it's actually the first drawing tablet that I owned and I've been using it for a weeks now and I can say that I'm really satisfied as a beginner and practising digital drawing definitely recommended it it's worth a shot 👍👍

I actually have this tablet! It's my first and Im still currently using it. If you get used with it enough it feels like second nature already. Sometimes I don't even feel like I need to rush in buying a screen tablet. This one pretty much does it. Like the experienced artists always said it's not about the gear, the tablet or the other expensive artist materials it's all about the artists skill and finesse.

You don't *need* a screen tablet. This one is much better in terms of ergonomics and the feel of the pen. Much better to work with a tablet that has no display since it won't cause any neck/back problems long term.
I've been using this tablet and there are no complaints so far, it gets sh*t done , the packaging is awesome too. And it comes with extra nibs, been using only 1 nib for about 5-6 months (4H/day)with a bit of wear. I can already sense it's gonna be with me for years as a secondary after I buy a screen tab.

For someone that lives in a third world country this is really cool for a "cheap" price bcs even this is quite expensive in my country. For now I've been drawing only on my phone with a rubber pen so getting one of these in the future would help me alot, thank you for the great review brother!

I started to draw since i was like 5 or something but i started digital drawing 4 years ago and i used a small wacom intuos, i felt like it was to small for me and because of your review I decided to buy the xp deco 01 v2 and i loved it, thank u.

I dont draw or so, i was just looking for an alternative to a mouse because all my wrist and fingers were hurting from clicking so much.
Anyways, this has helped me a lot. I can say it doesnt hurt anymore.
Plus, i'm into pretty note taking and well, with the right program and some config, i can take advantage in what i like too.
And yes, i downloaded Krita and other programs to practice drawing 😅

It is been three months since your comment. Do you regret buying it? I've read numerous comments about lagging and bug issues (freezes after 20 minutes of work, drivers are malicious and they often times don't work, it scratches easly etc.)

What computer you are using? Mine doesnt work perfectly like I did with wacom. It jitters and jumping around tiny bit when I move to menus in Photoshop. And I cant drag scrolling bar perfectly.

Hey, you've probably noticed these by now but I need to make sure. The pen stand can be opened and there are places to put the nibs inside, and it's made in a way that you can lay your pen on it as if it was on a table which is possibly why the pen doesn't firmly stand on it

i spent over half a year trying to save up for the Deco 01 and i even entered an art competition just so i could claim the prize money which was £25 and i won. I still hadnt saved up enough cuz i had to and i mean had to get that kneaded eraser so i bought it. And finally after such a long journey i have finally saved up enough to buy the Deco 01 and ill be ordering it soon possibly feb 14th cuz of certain issues. It is very useful, light, effecient and easy to use with best results, I'm new in digital painting and I was confused what to buy...an advanced display tablet or simple easy and cheap graphic tablet, I found this XP-PEN in electronics shop, I buaght it and I am so happy to have. At first I thought "What we gonna do with all those buttons?" but it wasn't like I imagined. I use most of the buttons and they REALLY help. The texture sheet is also really good but there's something that I really want to say. The texture of the tablet itself feels like it can be eroded easily but IT'S NOT and feels really good (and somehow soft) while drawing, it is an amazing tablet compared to it's price. I highly recommend it.

Just bought the XP-Pen Deco, and discovered something by accident, I already had the Ugee driver installed and found it works with it just the same as with the XP-Pen driver and also one of my Ugee stylus works with it too. I believe I read the two firms are related.

I just bought a kamvas a couple months ago and it works like a charm but its not that "portable" since I'm a student and I'll be moving a lot qhen everything goes back to normal. I might buy a regular tablet for portability tho. That one looks so thin and light, would be a perfect fit for my backpack.

I bought this and used for 4 months smoothly. I use this for online teaching and it works like butter. But after 4 months it developed a problem in a particular zone where it felt like it was getting slipped. But as I was under the warrenty I got replacement within two days. Let's see what happens next.

@@freshsliceoflemon283 Yeah I got it, its been fantastic, I got a friend that own a wacom tablet that was over and said its just as good. The setup wasnt hard either and for the express buttons I got seperate keybinds for each software like corel painter, photoshop, krita etc. I've been using the tablet daily both for sculpting in 3D and drawing and I have noticed no problems just joy. Its a huge difference going from mouse to tablet. Feel free to ask if u have any other question :)

is this a tablet you would recommend? I have been drawing on my Iphone 8 for a year now ((it's 138.4mm tall and 67.3mm wide)), and have been using an Iphone 7 before that before it broke.

Thanks so much for this review! I'm new to digital painting. I want to invest in a good quality tablet of medium to large size with tilt functionality. The large Wacom is highly recommended, but WOW that price tag! I was saving for the Wacom, but XP Pen may have won me over.

Beginners? Beginner to using a tablet, and getting a cheap one to try out and see if you like working on a screen as opposed to working on a tablet. That makes sense. I have the XP-Pen Star G640, even cheaper than the one reviewed. I find it okay, I have managed to do some very detailed drawings, but had to seriously develop some new techniques as the pen is very slippy and the lines go all over the place. What I want in a tablet is to know that my lines stay where I have drawn them and pressure sensitivity.

@@shraddhadudeja5909 it has a few times but not enough for me to be thrown off by it. I'm just starting out so it's better than going all out on a super sophisticated piece that I won't know how to use. I've enjoyed using it this far. Way better than using my mouse.

I got a new one a couple of weeks ago. I can use it as a mouse and no problem, but when I use it with brushes, it makes Photoshop and Illustrator crash after 30 minutes or so. I use it with Windows 10 and Adobe 2019...any ideas why is that happening and how to solve it?

I bought this, and tried for hours. Everything good, but in my windows desktop,..it jitters when I move pointer near menus. Jumping around a very bit. And sometimes it cannot drag the scrolling tools. And we need to click firmly to get respond. It maybe ok if you are using drwaing pen for the first time. But not for people who are familiar with wacom.

April 16, 2021. I purchased the worst product possible, an Innovator 16, only 2 weeks of use until it started with the problems.
I had to repair the product manually following some intructions on youtube on how to fix the common flickering that occurs very often in your products, once I managed to open the hardware, it was full of fingerprints, the product was not new.
Not only XP-PEN offers poor quality, but they sell used and refurbished products as new.
Hi Imad, the film that you've put back on the tablet, is the "same-one" you've pilled out when you unpacked it, or does it come with a totally separate one? Nice drawing at the end! Thanks a lot.
It does come with a separate screen protector. Once you open the box you see the tablet first and under the tablet is the screen protector. However, from what I've seen, many prefer not to use it cause the texture it gives isn't really as good as the tablet itself.
I have bought it for my phone but after 2-3 times it is not anymore supported in my phone. Hiw can I solve this problem?

Really nice video.. except that you’re supposed to lay the pen on the pen holder XD it’s not supposed to stand on it and that’s why it won’t lol.. just lay it horizontally and you’d probably understand the placement in a few seconds after trying different positions
