    I like the idea of using Rice cooker to cook the glutinous rice but always end up cooking very lumpy rice.
    May I know what portion of glutinous rice vs water do you use to cook it ?
    Yours looks perfect !

    Some said to place in a dark place 🪳 So what are the differences between placing them in a sunny place and in the dark? 🐁 Even a source said the rice will be ready in just 2 - 3 days so I am not sure how long I can leave the rice outside 🪰 Where I am living is quite cold so it takes longer for the rice to turn alcoholic

    • @FullHappyBelly
      @FullHappyBelly  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As long as it’s in a warm spot it will work. I placed it beside a heat vent in winter because we don’t get warmth from sunlight but in summer it’s naturally warm where the sun hits. It’s turned out great both ways but most people do place it somewhere warm and dark if you have that option

    I do not have the yeast in the form a cube. What I have are the round balls. How much cup of rice if I am to use a full size yeast ball?

    • @FullHappyBelly

      For 3 cups of uncooked extra glutinous rice, use 25g of yeast (in ball or cube form)

    Hi Lily, do you have any recommendations as to what I can do with the rice after straining the product for the wine? Just like yourself, I love the wine as it is without the rice :D

    • @FullHappyBelly
      @FullHappyBelly  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't like to eat the rice either just the wine! My mom actually likes to eat the rice and says it tastes great.

    • @annerowenachee1749
      @annerowenachee1749 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand from a friend that you can add the rice to your braised dishes instead of eating the rice. Try it out coz I’ve tried that with my ginger chicken.

    Hello, how long does the rice and wine combined last for in the refrigerator?

    • @FullHappyBelly
      @FullHappyBelly  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I usually drink mine up within a few days, it doesn't last long as it's super yummy and goes fast in my family. I think the longest I've ever had it in the fridge was 4 days... I honestly don't know how long you can keep it in there.

    Some people say to rinse the cooked rice to remove the stickiness and get a clearer wine. What's your opinion?

    • @FullHappyBelly
      @FullHappyBelly  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have never washed the rice after it’s been cooked but everyone has their own method. I love my mom’s recipe/way of making it because it’s so easy and the end result is always delicious ❤️
