I love that old school Alfa dash. I've never had an opportunity to drive an old Alfa. We have them here in the US, some of the old ones that is, but I've rarely even seen them nowadays unless they're the little old roadsters. I DO know how legendary those old Alfa V6s are though...
I would love to have that car here in the US. I would pull that legendary Alfa V6, tear it all down, new main bearings, forged connecting rods, forged pistons, port and polish the heads, performance cams, fabricate an exhaust up pipe off of the manifolds, install the Turbonetics T3 .82 AR turbo that I have in my garage, install a twin-disc clutch, wire in the AEM EMS Series II that I have left over from my Civic build, and that Alfa V6 would easily push out 500 whp. I have always loved the old Alfas, their body styles aren't anything like you'd find here in the US. Alot of them were styled by Bertone and Pininfarina, and we all know the bodies that those two designers have put out over the years...absolute legends. In my opinion though, body styles like that deserve the performance to go with the beauty.

I think the dog distribution solenoid making noise is the main cause of the no start condition. Repair requires belly rub and proper food.
