- We were having our usual day out messing about at Khor Al Udeid, Inland Sea. We saw a vehicle in trouble and went to see if we could help.
It turned out to be a brand new Dodge Ram TRX truck, with a 6.2 litre Supercharged motor.
It had got stuck at 08:00 hrs, high tide was at 09:00 hrs.
The front end was in a slough, the water level had reached the top of the hood.
By the time we came across it, around 5 hours after it had got stuck and 4 hours after high tide, it had sunk into the wet sand, which is like cement to shift.
The water had also affected the electronic controls of the car, it was completely dead and more significantly the brakes were locked on and could not be released.
Some more people arrived to help,
The truck was a completely dead weight, but we managed to pull it out of danger from the next high tide.
Some of the people who had turned up to help decided to drag it further along the beach with the wheels locked. After several failed and violent attempts to do so, the tow rope snapped and literally demolished the tailgate and back end of the Dodge Ram, this is at 30:19
Eventually they were able to get beneath the vehicle and disconnect a cable from a computer that allowed the brakes to be released.
It was then pulled to an area accessible by recovery truck, to be taken away for some very expensive repairs.

There is an emergency gear release latch that puts the truck into neutral. Under the head light switch
Doesn't deserve a trx. ALSO Know Your Vehicle!!!! Rams have an emergency tow release to put in full neutral behind a pop panel under headlight switch. And that trx weights 6550 lbs. (2971 kg) stuck in sand, not going to snatch pull... duh. found out the hard way.

Bro I feel your frustration 😂 I had a 20 1500 ram and it was a simple google search away to figure out where the emergency neutral latch was when it broke down on the side of the road..

Self-recovery Traction boards mate, they do wonders. I recommend buying self-recovery tracking mats/boards, having four for all four wheels, and one or two shovels placed inside your truck bed whenever you do some offroading shyt or when it's snow season. Them shyts work wonders when you can't afford to wait for someone to save you 😅
They do NOT work 😂😂😂 only a lad who’s s either never used them or never been properly stuck would think they work 😂

When the vehicle is NOT starting, not running and all 4 wheel are AUTO LOCKED its because the door was opened and or left open when the vehicle is/was ON and or moving. Just PRESS the Auto Lock OFF! I know I have had this problem many times even once called a tow truck before I figured it out lol. Now I know I open the FN door in drive if the vehicle is moving it will AUTO LOCK engage all breaks lol. But yeah then ahhh just press it off with the little button to the bottom left side of the steering wheel. Easy fix lol. Cool video, I have a 2020 RAM Rebel. Next truck may be a TRX.
You are correct about everything you said, as long as the truck is running. If the engine is not able to run then the auto brakes will stay engaged even if the driver door is closed, the shift select nob is in the neutral position and making sure the auto brake button you refer to is disengaged. When the engine is not running and the gear selector is put into neutral is when the computer will not release the wheels until you take the small plastic access panel off(located next to the auto braking switch that you mentioned), then pull that lever until it clicks into place and that disengages the brakes as well as the gear selection all together.(Meaning it will be able to free roll in park, nor does the ignition have to be in the "ON" position.) Pulling that lever is designed to allow the truck to be loaded on to a tow truck and things of that nature, pretty stupid design in my opinion but I digress..
Have a Ram Limited. You are right if the door is open, it locks the axle & wheels. Common sense is gone!!! None of these people have towing experience!

One crazy thing about these trucks is I THOUGHT the back bumpers were likes some super solid steel or something I was like OH COOL. But then I had the slightest little bump of mine about 1 year ago AND lol it totally ruined the bumper I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOO fn way it did that much damage lol. They are cheap like hard plastic or aluminum or metal or something. Beautiful trucks I love them but some thing's could be improved lol. It was satisfying seeing the vehicle finally winched out!
I still say, you should just put the vehicles in neutral so they don't botch any tire flotation. Also, people kept digging the tires out as it was being dragged backward making the frame and the locked wheels drag. I didn't understand that strategy. But, I'm sure that truck was fun for a hot minute! lol

Ok. Now I realise wealth and how one gets to enjoy it is all retaliative. But that is abuse of a fine vehicle. There's cheaper vehicles that one can abuse for fun. I'm a big believer in thinking of the consequences of one's actions.😁😉

Maybe just maybe they would've had better success with a snatch strap.. I got one, and you can get a good running start and with your momentum you have a whole lot better success than with a chain or cable..
They've suction under it, that needs to be broken first, or all that kinetic energy is hugely dangerous. They should've disengaged manually first (as they eventually did), and winch slowly. That old guy seemed to have a deathwish, where he chose the stand with no line dampener. More money than brains I guess.

And this is why you never buy a car from a local lol. On a separate note, tsa3 mia are useless for traction, much better using all terrains when attempting to recover a vehicle.

Agreed on the Snatch, no idea why he tried that, he actually tried 4 or 5 times before the rope snapped, they knew the wheels were locked.
The Vehicle got stuck at 8am, High tide was around 9am, the car was swamped, Salt water got into the electrical system.
I swear to go that guy doesn’t deserve to drive TRX give him a Toyota Hilux and at the end the car got damaged 🥱

not running probably bc of the water. full electronic control trans most vehicles will not move. Rams have an emergency tow release below headlight switch behind a pop panel they need to pull.
Sad to see it damaged at the end. I am also disappointed at how many things went wrong for just just getting stuck in salty mud.

Antes de sair para uma aventura é importante conhecer o seu veículo, ter o mínimo conhecimento de off-road.
Saber deve ativar os diferencias(frontal, central e traseiro), quando usar o crowl control 4L ou 4H, saber que precisa vazar os pneus para aquele tipo terreno...
@Guerra1301 é importante saber disso também; Mesmo com uma landcrusier, Ford F150, jeep wralenger, Toyota Tacoma ou seja lá que carro.

But there thinks everbody should know liking offroading or not, it will save you from situations like that.
How in the hell, in that type of terrain everysingle one is run with full air in tires, that was one of the reason that nissan was strugling in that hills.
Even worse is that trx driver that dont know hes own car.
Despite the fun, too many things in this video are wrong.
