I don't think his patronus changed after Lilly's death..it changed when he started loving Lilly..as we know when you fall in love your patronus changed to match the patronus of the person you love..
Personally I like the idea that lily's patronus was originally a stag as well, and then, once she fell in love with James, it became a doe. Snape, having always loved lily, never really had his patronus change much, if at all, but it was always representative of his love for her, therefore, they likely had matching patronus' during their school days and up until James and lily first fell in love. What species of doe and stag are involved I can't say, although for snape, and initially lily as well, I'd suspect european Roe doe, simply owing to their small size, while James' always took on a red stags shape and when lily's changed to a red deer doe to match her new husband's, it's likely snapes simply followed suit because of his constant love for her regardless. So in a way, it's likely that BOTH lily and snapes patronuses changed as they got older
Snape got Friend Zoned by Lilly potter and she went after the alpha "bad boy" James instead. Snape is then portraid as The Beta romantic more feminine male who's emotions and love never ends for LIly.. That is why he has the Doe Petronus as he was the same as Lilly.
I don't think Snape's original patronus could have been the doe because the fact that it changed after her murder is the irrefutable proof of his true loyalties that Dumbledore relies on every time questions arise.
He didn't really seem to fear anything, he was probably the bravest one in the series. He was a very driven and passionate man which he kept well hidden and was angry when Harry looked into his mind and discovered his past, by the way he carries himself and acts he was afraid to appear weak and vulnerable. Those years in school he was heavily bullied and lost the one he loves to James potter. All that he went through, all those things change you in fiction and the real world, he became a Deatheater but that's not *who* he is. He's seen horrible things performed by other Deatheaters and knows the very kind of people that become them. For the man that doesn't seem to fear anything, I'd say his greatest fear would be succumbing to the weakness of losing all that which make him the good man he is. I think his Boggart would appear as either a masked Deatheater or himself as one.
I do like the animals you listed especially how they fit Snape's character in that they mate for life. Out of the ones listed I particularly like the black vulture or black swan because it seems like Snape always has his robes billowing around him, kind of like wings.
I think it was a black vulture because the are part of sky funeral where the are looked at as the harbinger of the after life. I think snape changed as he held her body. Where he took in part of her soul into him.
I think its a black swan: mate for life and never look for a new partner, the black plumage is more fitting, but they are also vicious with a bad bite and can break bone. Snape was a Deatheater with a powerful arsenal of spells. They are also fiercely protective of their young, to the point parks and ponds will put out warnings if it's swan mating season. He protected Harry for all those years, even though he didn't like him, for Lily.
I have always imagined Severus patronus to be a crow because they’re extremely intelligent and they are know to hold grudges towards humans that have done them wrong.
I think the doe was Snape's original patronus. Harry first successfully produced a patronus during his 3rd year at Hogwarts and it was deemed to be exceptionally early and he was only capable to master it at such a young age due to his unusual childhood background. For this reason I conclude that Snape had not been able to produce a patronus before he became close with Lily and therefore there's no reason to think his patronus was something else before Lily. At the time he was first able to successfully cast a patronus charm, his life was already influenced by her very much. On the other hand, the way he presented his patronus to Dumbledore suggested that he knew it was what it was because of Lily and how would he have known if it had never changed? I dont know. :p Although the more I think about it, there more possibilities I see that it didn't have to.
I personally think that Snape used to have a different patronus and it changed its form to fit that of Lily due to his feelings for her. Tonks'patronus changes its form when she falls in love with Remus and Snape even mocks her about it, probably because he knows very well why her patronus changed its appearance. I have also e often read that the patroni can show soulmates therefore James and Lily's patroni are a stag and doe but since Snape's feelings for lily are unrequited his changed into the same patronus as hers instead of turning into something that would complete hers. I like the animals that you mentioned, especially the vulture because it is a surprising bird to represent love just as Snape's true motivation and his feelings for Lily were surprising. I also wouldn't be surprised if his patronus used to be a bat since people keep comparing him to one (and I still think that Snape was originally supposed to be a vampire but then Rowling changed her mind).
I hate the people who say that Snape's patronus changed bc he was obsessed with Lily,it clearly says that the patronus changes to the person you truly love
Thats the thing harry was a stag Jenny was a horse 0 of the couples in Harry Potter had matching ones witch is jk rolling saying nobody ended up with there sole mate. Interesting fact about Harry Potter and the cursed child herminon at Christmas would put mislto at the front door of her office at it would only come out when your soul mate came into the room it came out when Draco came into the room but not Ron
I believe that the black swan is the best choice of all species listed is the most appropriate. Although a badger also comes to mind. Great video, as always. Thank you for all of the time you spent putting it together.
I honestly have no idea where this guy gets his information sometimes when he does his Harry Potter explained vids, but I love that. Also to anyone new to this channel, I would recommend you go and watch some of his other 200+ vids, they are great!
But if you have the same patronus as someone for your whole life, that means you are soul mates and are meant to be together, dumbeldore knew this, and when he asked Snape he responded with "always"
The original Patronus for Snape was a Doe. Dumbledore was surprised his patronus had never changed...despite their estrangement in school, her marriage to James, her having a child exactly like James, and her death...none of those series of emotional blows changed how he felt about Lily...OR the fact that her memory is STILL one of happiness. So, Snape is a constant. He took the left turn leaving Lily behind. When he takes the RIGHT turn, to save Lily, it's permanent. If there MUST be a priot Patronus, it would be a vampire bat. But, i think it was always a doe. Lily is a powerful witch..she would have produced hers...and Snape would have taken longer to mirror hers, because he could nothing else.
I recently listened to the audiobook for the first Harry Potter book. Snape lived at Cokewirth, which is the same place where Harry and the Dursley family stayed in a hotel.
Yes that is the reason. JKR stated in an interview that James and Lily's patronuses being a stag and a doe, respectively, is not a coincidence but because of their mutual love
Same. For this reason I do believe that Lily's petronius changed to a doe as she got older. I believe that Snape's has always been the same as Lily's and became a doe when hers did. Thus I think the real question is what was Lily's petronius before it became a doe?
I actually love the theory of lily's patronus changing because of her hidden love for snape.. I do know that snape deserves this love before becoming a death-eater 💔 Mine was an owl ❤️
@@rennyforyourthoughts8023 yes, but he becomes animagus in his 5th or 6th(?) Year right? So, my theory is that.. perhaps when Lily started to open her heart to him.. it still possible, but, idk until jk made the story in the marauders year :')
@@Emilykrabappel true, I'm with Neville, as Snape would be my Boggart over Voldemort lol, just like the books say he's a creepy overgrown bat 😂, Voldemort ain't scary, he's just bald, noseless and just an annoying spammer of avada kedavra lol
"With an incantation, which will work only if you are concentrating, with all your might, ON A SINGLE, VERY HAPPY MEMORY." , He doesnt have the same patronus as Lily because it changed, they both use the same memory to conjure the patronus. Its not snapes patronus because he only cares deeply for Lily. Its because they both care for eachother a lot.
I strongly believe that Snape's patronus wasn't always a doe..it changed to doe when he met Lilly and fall in love with her..and his original patronus was something else..
i think that not even snape knows his own patronus because when he first cast it it had all ready changed so it would have been something else only until he met lily
Salix of Prifddinas I don’t know, but do you think Mark Evans (a boy who Dudley is mentioned to have bullied in Order of the Phoenix) is related to Lily and Petunia?
I dont really know anything but i do know they were proud of lily for going to hogworts. That was something Patunia told harry when he learned the truth about their death. So while Patunia was jealous and horrible to her sister, it sounds like they had supportive parents
I have a video Idea for you: Apart from Avada Kedavara, which all spells can kill a person or result in their death indirectly. Like during the Battle of Hogwarts, the OoP and the DA don't use Unforgivable curses but still manage to kill Death Eaters. Which spells might have they used? (The biggest example is the fact that Molly kills Bellatrix without Avada Kedavara. How did she do that?)
We don’t know that James’ patronus is a stag do we? We just know that he was a stag in animagus form, therefore Harry’s patronus was then a stag. Just because James was an animagus stag doesn’t necessarily mean his patronus was such...
@@samanthacabarles1065 Why would you call someone idiot? The person is not wrong because it's not mentioned in the books. JKR said many things, but not everyone goes around watching her interviews or whatever.
i like the black vulture for him because of his aesthetic as a dark cloud but also because of his undying love and loyalty. his love for lily transferred into a deep care for her son in the end (as much as he originally tried to combat it)
I immediately thought of a bat, considering Snape was often compared to them in the books 😂. The bat's half-mammal, half-bird form symbolises Snape's double agent role in the story. They live in caves and tunnels and fly in the dark so are commonly feared and associated with shadowiness in many cultures. And yet they are crucial to the health of certain plants and the ecosystem. All that screams Snape to me. He is the most ambiguous, mistrusted character in HP but is also the most important to the plot. That being said, I do think the doe was always his Patronus because he loved Lily from such an early age. His love and loyalty for her endured far beyond her death and his Patronus taking the form of hers' demonstrated that. It's pretty sad because it echoes Lily's Patronus being so similar to James'. Lily had the same feelings for James as Snape did for her, and Snape had to watch that from the sidelines, forever heartbroken.
I’m pretty sure that I read that Professor Filtwick was part goblin- hence his stature- so somewhere in his family line there must have been an inter-species couple
Can you do a video on the history of Dobby’s life? Or maybe just the history of House elves in general? Just an idea... um-yeah😅 LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!!
Great video as always. I like the research you put into the different animals that Snape may have possibly been associated with. I don't think Snape had a patronus until he became a double agent for Dumbledore. Thinking about what happened, he had to be suppressing those memories because the dementors feed on happy memories and he was a death eater after all. So when Lily died, he learned the skill to protect not only himself, but Harry as well.
I also guessed bat, but I also think he was a bat animagus, or possibly even a vampire hybrid. After his duel with McGonagall, he was said to have escaped the great hall “like a bat”. Also, he has always had an obsession with a young woman and is always brooding, which are qualities that could suggest a vampire heritage.
@@nikhilgarg6055 yeah also when he takes over for lupin one day and teaches the kids about werewolf’s to try and expose lupin the next lesson lupin teaches them about vampires so that could be to try and expose snape
Honestly I remember in the deathly hallows (battle of Hogwarts) it’s described as he fled like a bat and if snape is a animgus is a bat then his Patronus is a bat, the form of the animgus is your Patronus so if Dumbledore was a animgus he would be a phoenix as his Patronus is a phoenix.
Cool video, but while I watched it I asked myself: What if Lilys patronus always was a doe and James changed into a stag, because he loved her? Additionally I think Snapes patronus always was a doe, because he met Lily so early in his life. His complete commitment and love for her was the reason why his patronus was a doe (matching hers completely) and James patronus was a stag (deep feeling for her, but still his "own person"). I hope that makes sense 😅
I think snape's patronus is a bat . A turtle dove, swans , Vulture and the other animal. In my opinion really fits him. Thanks for the great video and theory. 😁😍
Wolves and Dogs are both common forms and symbolize Loyalty. So its possible that it could have been one of those original due to his friendship with Lilly. But between his strong love for her and his strong hatred for the Marauders (of which two were a wolf and dog respectivly) that it may have hard locked his Patronis as the same creature as Lilly's reguardless of the form her's would have taken.
If Snapes Patronus had always been a doe, and it was in fact lily's Patronus that changes, it takes away A LOT from the scene where snape reveals his patronus to dumbledore.
Magpie.. ‘one for sorrow, two for joy’. The poem line comes from the fact that Magpies mate for life. If one of the two dies the other will not find a new mate and is said to spend the rest of it’s life grieving. But yes I agree with you. He loved Lily before he learned how to cast the charm, so it probably has always been a doe.. always.
Since Lily was so gifted at Charms, I think she could produce a Patronus before Snape and it probably wasn't a doe. If Snape could make a Patronus around the time when she first made one, it was whatever her first Patronus was. I'm guessing a humming bird because they're attracted to lilies although those are common in America, not Britain.
Do you think all spells were originally intended to have specific wand movements, like the "swish and flick" for example, associated with them? It always seemed weird that you have to be so precise to lift a feather but just point over your shoulder and yell to kill someone.
The patronases you mentioned are still focused on his love for Lily. I was expecting you to theorize what Snape’s patronas would have been BEFORE his love for Lily. These are basically patronases he could have if patronases didn’t take on the form of a lover. I wanna know what his patronas would have been before falling in love with her.
If Snape‘s Petronas wasn’t always a doe because of Lily, it might’ve been something that wasn’t even mentioned here. During the story, Harry and his friends draw parallels between his physical characteristics and a bat. When he breaks away right before the battle of Hogwarts and flies off to join the death eaters, he looks batlike. Harry sees Severus that way when he delves into his memories after his death also. That doesn’t translate into his Petronas being a bat, but it isn’t impossible.
I saw in the HP Wiki that the deer is usually related to the Potters, mainly because of their patronuses, and also the following facts: James Potter was an animagus who transformed into a stag, and animagi can't choose the animal they learn to transform into. With that, I thought of another theory: Lily's patronus was originally a doe, both James's and Snape's patronuses changed to match Lily's, and when James underwent the ritual to become an animagus, the animal form that "chose" him was the stag. The interesting point is that James's patronus is the male deer, while Snape's one was the female deer, possibly mirroring their own link to Lily (courting in James's case, devotion in Snape's). Moreover, Harry's patronus is also a stag, mirroring his father's.
I think it was always a doe. I mean, he always loved Lily, since he was a boy. His patronus matched hers. I think that was part of the point. It’s not that his patronus changed, it was always that, just as he always loved Lily.
I like the idea of the Black Swan for an alternative to the Doe, however as Snape already loved Lily Evans long before he was experienced enough to conjure a Patronus I think it was probably always a Doe. Just my thoughts 😃😃 !!
Laurie Whitter Funny. I just looked up Black Swan now and it came up with a film called Black Swan about a ballerina who gets to play the White Swan, but then descends into madness, thus becoming the Black Swan. Maybe that ballerina could be Snape’s Patronus.
In the books, it’s not just Harry that attacks Snape. All three of the kids cast Expelliarmus at the same time, which is why it was powerful enough to knock Snape out (otherwise he would have just been disarmed). Snape was extremely unhappy about the entire situation with Sirius and Lupin and the kids, and was furious when they returned to the castle. Dumbledore likely intervened which is why the kids never got in trouble, but Snape was even more cruel to Harry after the whole fiasco.
what if both snape and lily originally would have had turtle doves or voles, but when lily fell in love with james, her's changed to match-up with james becoming a doe and because snape's love for lilyk was so strong, his changed to copy hers
Could you do a video theorising what various characters’ boggarts would have been? Snape, dumbledore, Sirius, Harry (after he gained the ability to cast a patronus his greatest fear likely changed), death eaters etc?
Here's a topic for a future video: in the Prisoner of Azkaban, why did Harry insist that Peter Pettigrew live after he found out it was Pettigrew who betrayed Harry's parents, when before that Harry was ready to kill Sirius Black because he thought that Black was the one who betrayed them? That decision by Harry to spare Pettigrew after having been ready to kill Black for the same crime always struck me as odd. If Harry had allowed Pettigrew to be killed, then Voldemort likely would never have returned because Wormtail couldn't have found him and helped him regenerate a corporeal body. Voldemort was just about ready to give up ever getting his power back when Wormtail found him. Even though Voldemort would still have his Horcruxes to keep him from completely dying, without Wormtail, he wouldn't have returned to power. Harry's compassionate--but naive--decision to spare Pettigrew after wanting to kill Sirius Black for betraying his parents ended up allowing Voldemort to return. I don't get why Harry could stomach killing Sirius when he thought Sirius was guilty, yet after learning of Pettigrew's guilt, he let him live. Is there something I am missing that explains the change in Harry's perception?
He didn't do it FOR Peter, he didn't want Sirius or Remus to do something as bad to themselves as killing someone, plus he wanted proof positive that Sirius was innocent.
Always a doe, but his "natural" spirit animal (ie eventual Animagus form, Patronus if it wasn't influenced by others etc --- his Patronus if he let go of Lily eventually) was a bat, and I'm very strongly convinced of that. It just fits Snape so well.
Does one have to see an animal in order for them to have that animal as there charm? Like say ive never seen a stag. Can I still produce a stag or would it only be an animal ive seen in my life?
7:43 | He couldn't fly when he was younger. Only when becoming a Death Eater he learned to fly without a broom from Voldemort personally most likely. By this time, his Patronus was surely already a doe because of Lily, in my opinion, his Patronus was ALWAYS a doe 🙂
It's not always love that determines the patronus, it's the person personality and true deep feelings.. could say he was a very determined and obsessive person (his skills in potions etc) :) Dont forget, there are plenty of magical animals out there that we dont know of :)
I LOVE the black vulture theory. Reviled by most people, but they serve a great purpose, making sure the dead haven't been lost in vain. And I never knew they mated for life.
His (Snape’s) original patronus was probably a lion, because he’s so brave and even though he was in Slytherin. Then when he met Lily, he had unrequited love for her, was not her soulmate, so his patronus changed to a doe not change to a stag or stayed a lion as they sometimes do. Also I agree with Isaac Kim it makes so much sense.
The reason why death eaters don't generally have a patronus is because in order to cast it, you need a very strong memory in mind that makes you happy. Given most of their upbringings, there's not really any memories that could be strong enough to cast the spell with.
I don't know this gut I'm curious.... if someone is an Anamagi does their patronus look the same as their Anamagi form? Like would Sirius have a dog patronus, or James have a stag patronus? Just curious, thanks.
I like the patronuses you chose, they fit for him! It is probable he always had a doe patronus. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 As a patronus is advanced magic, it isn't learned in early years to conjure one. Though I agree with the patronus theme, I dont't think Snape was in love with Lily from the first day they met. They were ten years old… Snape was neglected by his parents who were constantly occupied with arguing (Lily once asked about this) and they were apparently poor (his mismatched clothing). A child looking an odd way is presumably bullied by the surrounding children. If not, he was more likely than not a loner because of his interests which didn't resemle the interests of the other children. As his parents are tied up with each other, there could have no meetings with other wizarding children. This in mind, Snape was alone, never able to share anything with anyone. Then he saw Lily, saw there was somebody who had obviously something in common with him and made contact with her. Possibly nervous as he did so because of his apperance. As Lily didn't reject him for his clothing, there is no wonder he bonded with her immediately. For me this isn't falling in love, not at that state and age. But it is a foundation love can grow over the time.
Actually in my opinion...by the time Snape learned to produce a patronus he was already deeply in love with Lily ( as he loves lily from his childhood)...so it might have took the same form as of Lily's patronus ( as we don't know what's her patronus before she fell in love with James)..!!James being an animagus(stag) Lily's patronus might have been a doe from beginning...so snape might have the same from beginning i guess 🤔🤔🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️as the line "After all this time..Always !!" Says so..!! Jst my opinion 😅😅it might be wrong..!! I thought so coz he loved lily throughout his life!
Swans are usually black here in Victoria 🇦🇺 In Chile I’ve seen the with neck up as black with the rest of the body being white. The interesting thing would be that if Lily wasn’t always a doe but she developed it after joining the Order of the Phoenix (as it’s not a standard spell taught at Hogwarts as far as I’m aware) and she matched James Potter but Snape was the same as her because both of his love for her and because he felt they were the same. And I believe he still loved her even afterwards because she killed, freezing his image of her forever instead of him being able to see the increasing distance and being able to get on with his life. If he had sought his own life instead of finding the complete opposite of James (in retaliation), he could have eventually settled down and had little Snapes of his own with someone who loved him.
New graphics. Nice 👌. I think it was a Bat. He was always hiding in the tree to spy on Lilly before they met as kids. His office was void of light and cool. When he walked his robes flew around him like bat wings and when he fled from McGonagall in fear he flew away and in the distance he looked like a giant bat.... *HERE'S A REQUEST* What happened between the time Voldemort curse backfired due to Lilly and when Hagrid picked up Harry from the crib and took him to Dumbledore. Because in the very 1st chapter in the 1st it seemed like it was 24hrs. Also, how did Voldemort get his wand back since he was mist. Lol alot had to happen within those 24hrs...Thanks!! Good stuff 👏
I disagree with your conclusion but, you touched on what I do believe. I think Snape's Patronus would have always matched Lily's. So what ever Lily's Patronus was before she fell for James would have been Snape's. So the real question is: What was Lily's Patronus pre-james? That should (in my opinion) answer the question.
i think lilly's petronus was a doe because she fell in love with james in later years of hogwarts while snape's petronus changed after lilly's death. the animals listed in your video are amazing...specially the black vulture,,,that might be the petronus before doe.
If your animal changes to that of whom you love what happens when two people love each other? Eg James and Lily potter why did they still have two different Petronus charms?
Wouldn’t it be so sweet if Harry’s patronus changed when his owl died since he could see her even she she was gone because he saw his parents so it may actually be a wolf Or a doe or Phoenix I not sure but i think it would be some patronus of a love of Harry’s who was gone probably a stag doe or an owl it could still be a stag but just wondering

hm this is hard i really like the idea of vulture, black swan and turtle dove, i think vulture may be my favorite honestly it just fits
I love your word about him" Rarely seen, lifelong commitment, underground burrow sounds like Snape to me"..yes it's true..
I recently listened to the audiobook for the first Harry Potter book.
Snape lived at Cokewirth, which is the same place where Harry and the Dursley family stayed in a hotel.
I just rereaded „Philosopher’s stone” and when I readed about that my mind blown away
I always thought Lily’s petronus was a doe because James’s was a stag....
Same
Yes that is the reason. JKR stated in an interview that James and Lily's patronuses being a stag and a doe, respectively, is not a coincidence but because of their mutual love
I didn’t think that it’s because of their loyalties and personalities
Same. For this reason I do believe that Lily's petronius changed to a doe as she got older. I believe that Snape's has always been the same as Lily's and became a doe when hers did. Thus I think the real question is what was Lily's petronius before it became a doe?
So then was Harry's Patronus actually the male version of Lily's Patronus, rather than James's Animagus form?
I actually love the theory of lily's patronus changing because of her hidden love for snape.. I do know that snape deserves this love before becoming a death-eater 💔
Mine was an owl ❤️
But wasn’t Lilly’s a doe because James’s was a stag?
@@rennyforyourthoughts8023 could be James' patronus changed because he love her.. you never know
@@lilyevans4244 I guess it's never stated, but it seems like a pretty easy assumption that James had a stag because that was his animagus form.

Properly a Dementor or James Potter 😂, oh no, I'm thinking Boggart lol

Good idea but his boggart would probably Lily’s dead corpse possibly with the Dark Mark hanging over her.

true, I'm with Neville, as Snape would be my Boggart over Voldemort lol, just like the books say he's a creepy overgrown bat 😂, Voldemort ain't scary, he's just bald, noseless and just an annoying spammer of avada kedavra lol
That makes a lot of sense, actually.
I strongly believe that Snape's patronus wasn't always a doe..it changed to doe when he met Lilly and fall in love with her..and his original patronus was something else..
A bat 🦇 maybe
He was 9-10 when he met and fall in love with Lily, how could he have another patronus before this age?
i think that not even snape knows his own patronus because when he first cast it it had all ready changed so it would have been something else only until he met lily
I could actually see Snape with a Thestral patronus
I'm wondering what happened with the parents of Lily and Petunia.
Salix of Prifddinas Well, since the Dursleys were Harry Potter’s only living relatives, Mr and Mrs Evans probably died Muggle deaths.
@@YellowBear-kx1ff That's what the HP wiki said, but I was wondering if there was anything else that Rowling might've written about them.

Apart from Avada Kedavara, which all spells can kill a person or result in their death indirectly. Like during the Battle of Hogwarts, the OoP and the DA don't use Unforgivable curses but still manage to kill Death Eaters. Which spells might have they used? there's a fan theory molly took down bella with a household spell, enhanced by her insane experience, motherly love for ginny and her loss of fred
I think the doe was Lilly’s and Snape had one because of her and I think James had a separate one and his changed to match Lilly’s
I think James's was always a stag
@@samanthacabarles1065 yes it was always a stag
We don’t know that James’ patronus is a stag do we? We just know that he was a stag in animagus form, therefore Harry’s patronus was then a stag. Just because James was an animagus stag doesn’t necessarily mean his patronus was such...

Snape is my favorite character. Any video of him, I will always watch.
It‘s easy. I see Snape, I click 🖤
Would you say that if you are able to love like Snape had loved Lily you are able to cast the charm. Are death eaters just unable to love anymore?
i like the black vulture for him because of his aesthetic as a dark cloud but also because of his undying love and loyalty. his love for lily transferred into a deep care for her son in the end (as much as he originally tried to combat it)
I immediately thought of a bat, considering Snape was often compared to them in the books 😂.
Why weren’t inter-species affairs resulting in children, like Hagrid for example more common? And if there were who were they?
Marcus Flint looked like he could be part troll
Well, one Card tells a story of a forbidden romance of a witch named Miranda Plunkett and a merman, so for all we know, there could be half-merpeople.
Ben Johnson 😂😂
I’m pretty sure that I read that Professor Filtwick was part goblin- hence his stature- so somewhere in his family line there must have been an inter-species couple
I consider myself Half-dwarf because I have a human father and a mother who thinks she’s a dwarf due to how short she is.
I'm happy when i see Someone make video about Harry Potter.
Love you, from Hermonie😉💕💕🤩
I always had the theory that because Snape and Lily met before Hogwarts, his patronus was always a doe.
Can you do a video on the history of Dobby’s life? Or maybe just the history of House elves in general?
Just an idea... um-yeah😅
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!!
Yasssss
That's deep, brought tears to my eyes.
Here's a suggestion for a video: What if Lord Voldemort destroyed Gryffindor's Sword?
I would have guessed a bat since in books he gets referred as bat like a lot
bAtmAn!

Honestly I remember in the deathly hallows (battle of Hogwarts) it’s described as he fled like a bat and if snape is a animgus is a bat then his Patronus is a bat, the form of the animgus is your Patronus so if Dumbledore was a animgus he would be a phoenix as his Patronus is a phoenix.
yes
I like to think Snape was an animagus all alone to rival the murarders.
@AngelaZeiler Nice idea. I like it a lot. (1/17/2022)
I think snape's patronus is a bat . A turtle dove, swans , Vulture and the other animal. In my opinion really fits him. Thanks for the great video and theory. 😁😍
Fair point. I wonder if the patrons changes. Nice video! :D
Thanks for making this ! I only commented about this topic yesterday 😃👍🏽
I think Snape’s original patronus is still a doe bc he liked Lily ever since he met her.
Since Snape has always loved Lily, I think his patroness would mirror what Lily’s was before she fell in love with James.
This makes the reveal less impactful
If Snapes Patronus had always been a doe, and it was in fact lily's Patronus that changes, it takes away A LOT from the scene where snape reveals his patronus to dumbledore.
Why did lily marry James then? If she truly loved snape ?
I would like to think of his Patronus as a Crow
Same
3:07 my heart falls in a deep sorrow and cries everytime i see this scene this is such a great masterpiece
Magpie.. ‘one for sorrow, two for joy’. The poem line comes from the fact that Magpies mate for life. If one of the two dies the other will not find a new mate and is said to spend the rest of it’s life grieving. But yes I agree with you. He loved Lily before he learned how to cast the charm, so it probably has always been a doe.. always.
OMG this one was soooooooooooooooo emotional love it keep it up
Since Lily was so gifted at Charms, I think she could produce a Patronus before Snape and it probably wasn't a doe.
This is the video i always wanted to here😊😊😊
How about a video on all known magical creatures? Like niflers, grindalows, bowtruckles, blast ended screwts etc
@@YellowBear-kx1ff Yes it was a very good film, about 3 years ago I think, won Oscars.
Does anyone know why harry never got expelled for attacking snape in the prisoner of azkaban
Snape said Harry, Hermione and Ron were under the confundus charm by Sirius, when he was telling Fudge what happened with Sirius.
what if both snape and lily originally would have had turtle doves or voles, but when lily fell in love with james, her's changed to match-up with james becoming a doe and because snape's love for lilyk was so strong, his changed to copy hers
Could you do a video theorising what various characters’ boggarts would have been? Snape, dumbledore, Sirius, Harry (after he gained the ability to cast a patronus his greatest fear likely changed), death eaters etc?
You are a good channel
He didn't do it FOR Peter, he didn't want Sirius or Remus to do something as bad to themselves as killing someone, plus he wanted proof positive that Sirius was innocent.
impressive and amazing as usual
Yup still gets me just rewatched snapes memory’s and I cried 😢
Thought my malessage would of been seen by now imma delete it if Niobe see in next 24 hours I give up trying

(Kinda looks like Pettigrew)
HAD ME LAUGHING
Please make another about the necklace it sounds so good :)))
It's not always love that determines the patronus, it's the person personality and true deep feelings.. could say he was a very determined and obsessive person (his skills in potions etc) :)
Dont forget, there are plenty of magical animals out there that we dont know of :)
Please make more and more harry potter theory video with Snape..I love this character and I'm curious to know more about him
I like the patronuses you chose, they fit for him! It is probable he always had a doe patronus. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 As a patronus is advanced magic, it isn't learned in early years to conjure one.
Though I agree with the patronus theme, I dont't think Snape was in love with Lily from the first day they met. They were ten years old…
Snape was neglected by his parents who were constantly occupied with arguing (Lily once asked about this) and they were apparently poor (his mismatched clothing).
I think a raven or crow would be perfect as Snape's patronus.
How do you think they made the marauders map?
Swans are usually black here in Victoria 🇦🇺
In Chile I’ve seen the with neck up as black with the rest of the body being white.
Not sure if this has been covered or not but the idea that you need to be pure of heart could also explain Snape's blue killing curse
Can you discuss the Dursley’s during the year they were under protection of wizards and the Ministry of magic?
i think lilly's petronus was a doe because she fell in love with james in later years of hogwarts while snape's petronus changed after lilly's death. the animals listed in your video are amazing...specially the black vulture,,,that might be the petronus before doe.
My question is what is the limit of dark magic that a witch/wizard can do before they can't cast the patronus charm?
Please make "5 most powerful wizards of all time". This is only a suggestion.
If your animal changes to that of whom you love what happens when two people love each other? Eg James and Lily potter why did they still have two different Petronus charms?
Love your videos
Wouldn’t it be so sweet if Harry’s patronus changed when his owl died since he could see her even she she was gone because he saw his parents so it may actually be a wolf Or a doe or Phoenix I not sure but i think it would be some patronus of a love of Harry’s who was gone probably a stag doe or an owl it could still be a stag but just wondering
