- Made this detailed 1 part video with sections to show how to replace an alternator in a Town & Country or Grand Caravan. I removed mine from the top side, since I didn't want to disturb the AC Compressor on the bottom. Easy job doable in 2 or 3 hours. Watch this video in advance and save yourself some headaches.

Thanks for the video. I like this method much better than messing with lowering the AC compressor. I have more than enough AC problems with this van. I don't want to poke the hornet's nest.
There being many Grand Caravan/Town &Country alternator re&re on YT. I will give you accolades for taking the time to post your video. I recently did my T&C. The shop manual says 1.6 hours re &re. It also shows popping the engine cover off. Removing the air cleaner box and air tube which opens up that whole area.The inner lower engine guards to fan belt area. On mine the AC line’s really prevented my fan housing from coming straight up and out so had to bend carefully back to give room. Get the fan up as far as you can to remove the electrical plug. It’s easier that way. Even then it was a bitch. Leave the lower alternator stud in place as it helps guide the alternator back on and holds it in place to get the top bolts on. Reverse was twice as fast as removal.

I love your video the only thing I am going to do different is take off that Eng cover so I don't scrap my arms on that crazy thing I know it does help. It has been a while since I did one on a van it was like a 1981 dodge so thought I would refresh my mind a bit. Thanks so much you make it look easy.
