- These migratory birds have distinctive chestnut brown stripes on the outer crown of their heads and cheeks and a chestnut dot on the chest. They build their nest' on the ground, in tall grass and the 3-6 eggs are black and white in color. Most migrate the central U.S. between Canada and Mexico. These are in the Texas Hill Country.
