- This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Imagine communicating with a computer by motion. Dr Josh Young explores how we interact with technology
Dr Joshua Young is a former neuroscientist now creating new kinds of human computer interfaces. His Motion Synth has been seen by millions of people worldwide due to its inclusion in Apple’s international tv ad campaign from mid 2014
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
This is one of the most underrated inventions of the 21 century
One day it won’t be. Once people really get their hands on it. And hang of it. You will see people making incredible music with it.
And it the tech will only get better.
But this realy work?
its cool but still would pick my midi fighter 64
@@frost365 what's that
@@KingDomCame its like a more advance controller with very cool stuff
You are witnessing the very first step in the integration of dance and instrument.
One day you won’t just dance to the music. You will be dancing to make the music.
What you just saw was something a child could make with 2 smart phones and an MP3 downloader
@@crm7428 the dude's net worth is $2.6 million, what's yours?
@@simonockas 8.5 million
@@crm7428 I can do it with 2 dumbphones and a MP4 uploader
@@TsamuelAF But, you haven't yet or marketed the idea and that's the difference between you two.
Whose watching this after watching shark tank? (He actually make a deal to a shark)
It was a horrible deal! He could have got so much more
Me
@@Bbknuckles I agree, they totally f**k*d him.. They aren't sharks they are thieves.

Yes people don't often credit the next interface we all should be using seriously!!!
How am I just now finding out about this amazing device and right before the holidays!
can't believe I missed this 8 years ago!

Amazing Technology to merging motion and harware
Will honestly buy this!
Did you?
@@PhilipDenys 😂 me eagerly waiting for his reply ?!
Tell me where, I need this!
Any updates? 😂
As a musician, I think the reason this didn't explode as it should have is trying to tied to an iPhone. Just create the instrument, as IK did with the irig. Most musicians will stick with the classical real instrument, but newbies and experimental will buy it, increasing revenue/ sales and market presence, eventually, probably, making even purist and producers consider it
This product is way ahead of it's time, for that reason I'm innn....... ❤️
This is next level!
Yeah. I would buy this. Absolutely. Take my money!
😅😅😅
Shark Tank brought me here, definitely not disappointed!
Turn it into a video game on all platforms with all instruments were we can play 2 or more different types at once and just like guitar hero u have... Palm Hero Move remix... now playing on all platforms game with infinite possibilities for all ages
Did they reupload it or something. Only 47k views on a 35 mil subs channel is impossible. People with 100k subs get more
definitely an instrument to pair with weed
Most underrated comment fr
His demontrsion with the flower didn't really sound great but genius design
No way! It was sad yet beautiful. The way the notes just drop like that. Sounds like I’m watching someone’s tale from long ago
Started out sad then became beautiful. Or I’m just too high😂 but either way. Great video
Yeah I kept wondering on his Shark Tank demonstration why he didn't play a song for them and I can see now he's really not great at playing it. On his TH-cam channel the artists playing are much much better at it.
yeah it was kinda rlly bad 😭😭
*demonstration
Why have I not heard of this before? Where can I buy it?
Me too 😅
Maybe Sam Ash usa
Let's be honest, we searched for this.
Why this video have no views?
The vibration he is creating with the trumpet like sound is a sound you can make with a Lao Khaen
This is the purpose of terra vision
So its 2022 did he succeed?
This guy's brilliant! Where can i buy this!!

Can you share how to make this project?
Hope you get in touch with music maestro A R Rahman

You can currently buy it for iPhone for ~$150 but there is nothing for android.
This think just make sound but no music
Jacob Corllier would be his bff
i actually used this and it was the biggest flop ever
what software is he using to do all of this, and what is the hardware called?
Look up auug
it's called motionsynth
Idk bout y’all but he’s not that great of a musician
If you want to know what can actually be done with this, send one to Jacob Collier.
Music sounds awful but cool idea
It's all fake
What
Boi shut up
I mean, it's not. But it's also not very impressive in a technical level. It's basically a MIDI controller with motion control.
