DAT JUMP!
That specifik jump has been following me in my head since I got into parkour. It's still as impressive 8 years later!
Sebastien Foucan WAS at the founding of the discipline, along with David Belle, Chau Belle Dinh, Yann Hnautra. All of those guys were involved; even if David Belle was the starter, the rest of the joined and helped develop it. Research? Yes, but it is necessary to have more sources than Wikipedia.
Love how they use the terms parkour and freerunning like they are one and the same. Truly great research right there.
Ok I'm french so i speak english bad ... Parkour is a name what the world uses but the creators called that : L'art du déplacement, in english : The Displacement art . It was created by YAMAKASI who is the first crew to do this (see films Yamakasi 1 and 2 ) and David Belle :) The frenchs created this beautiful sport (proud of my country ;)
And the world developped Parkour and freerunning ..
Actualy sebastien foucan is the creator of freerunnimg
In other words:
PK- focuses on getting around obstacles d fastest way/method possible applicable 2 dat particular obstacle.
FR- focusing on establishing different & various alternative ways/methods of getting around obstacles creatively.
PK- leans more as a discipline
FR- leans more as an art.
Both beong 2 d same skool of movt is like d difference btwn a cheetah & a tiger but both belong 2 d cat family/species.
what year is this?
at 2:42 try to find the padawan
Good content... horrible inconsistencies...
Traceurs was the second group after Yamakasi..and we thought that this is the right term.
Last time I checked parkour and freerunning were different things
i wish somebody can train us parkour here there so many people who know parkour here but they dont know somebody that can train them people who can do parkour here are like breakdance people i live in Curacao a tropical island it's nice place for vacation see it
hey man, he pretty much did found it, along with david belle, its just the liebenitz-newton argument again
Better than nothing. There's new material in there. Still gave it a 'like'.
Isn't he the co-creator?
oh fuck yeah, insinuating parkour and freerunning are synonymous for one
Agreed....parkour & freerunning hv ALWAYS been different, der may b a few similarities but most of oall dey both belong 2 d same skool of thought. "FR is d evolution of PK".
PK= focuses strictly on speed & efficient movement discouraging ALL MOVEMENTS dat do not boost those 2 factors as said by David Belle himself.
FR= focuses of creative & self-expressive mvemnt encouraging FREE intergration of mvment tekniks frm other 'arts' such as brkdncing, classical dancing, mrtial arts, gymnastics, etc
Parkour is a name for just moving through your environment. Parkour has been around since the dawn of humans but was never given a name.
Parkourist? Sebastian Foucan created parkour and freerunning? Parkour gangs? This documentary crew need to do a bit more research.
Also Sebastien Foucan can speak English -.- why is he talking in French on a documentary which is in English?
nobody created parkour they already did that in 1930! /watch?v=S_6nPvhVEgU
wrong ....parkour has been around for thousands of years soo
dat parkourist word.... i hate it why not trecuer wich is the right or the freerunner adaptation for english? And of course Foucan did not found freerunning nor parkour itself, this british guys, lol
nobody created it parkour has existed for thousands of years...you should do some research altho it wouldn't help
That's debatable but the level of research they've done is still pretty poor.
nobody created parkour it has always been there...people did parkour already in 1930 like here: /watch?v=S_6nPvhVEgU
FREERUNNING AND PARKOUR HAS BEEN AROUND FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS...........nice try though
