I did a 60 hour dry fast 2 weeks ago and experienced significant healing. Cyst under my arm that I had for weeks shriveled up, and lymphoma in my neck shrunk to half its size. Preparing to do it again this weekend to see if the lymphoma will shrink completely. Wish me luck! 🙏🏾

No they said a 60 dry fast that means 60 hours with no food or water , if they did it by the book there’s no water even showering , idk where you got 16 hours from unless your talking about the video???

I started IF three months ago and it's a very natural way of eating for me. I always start my day with a long walk with my dog, and my eating window is from 10am-2pm daily. I've lost 21# in three months, and I have so much energy. I am sleeping better and feel amazing! I would also say that I don't eat processed food. I focus on high quality foods (vegetables, some fruits and grass finished meats). Olive oil, coconut oil, nuts are also a big part of my diet. I feel amazing and the benefits of autophagy is a win win!

As a Dutch person I relate to just keeping fit and slim by using our bikes and legs for transport within our daily lives. No gym or sport necessary. It is about using your body the way it was meant: instead of being stuck to a desk and a car, being in motion throughout the day. Also comparing Dutch meals to American ones: portion control and home cooking make all the difference. I could not eat an American breakfast for dinner.

      @robertoperezaguirreeliasca7559 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I’m from La Paz, the capital in the southern tip of Baja California Sur Mexico
I have a life in motion
      Move constantly like a shark!
I love to eat healthy during during my during my 2hr fasting window … Eat less often
      Main takeaways:
      1- Eat less often.
2- Avoid sugary drinks and foods.
3- Reduce meat intake for longevity.
4- Its never too late for dietary changes.
5- Find veggies that have been stressed out (organic, colorful veggies)
6-Never start a meal with sugars, if you do eat them at last (desert).
      EAT LESS OFTEN
-There is a genetic pathway that gets triggered by low energy. These genes (sirtuins) respond to low energy (low glucose levels-caloric restriction), high heat, low amino acids, high salt (stressors). -----They take care of the DNA repair and the stabilization of the epigenome.
-When the body is hungry, the body makes NAD (fuel for the sirtuins).
-Two ways to activate sirtuins synthetically:
      1) Use some molecules
      2) NAD booster.
      Longevity genes:
Mtor: protein that registers amino acids. Allows the cell to build things. Not a recipe for longevity. Activates autophagy.
Ampk: goes up when hungry. Makes more mitochondria (important for making energy)
      Sirtuins
      Fasting:
      - Metformin: mimics fasting.
      - Time Restricted Feeding: At least 16 hours.
      - Liver compensates for the lack of food. Glucose neo-genesis. It overcomes the feeling of hunger. The liver starts making glucose at a steady level.
Sugar: big killer. It spikes glucose. Glucose shut down sirtuins and ampk. Defenses against diseases and aging shut down.
Protein: we should avoid high protein red meat diet for longevity. It inhibits mtor.
Amino acids: three important. Leucine, isoleucine, and valine: BCAAs. Are used to sense protein intake. The sensor is mtor. The mtor activates when you get them. Mtor repairs and build muscle. In the short run, this is good for building muscle etc. But in the long run, mtor is the responsible for autophagy, which is key to longevity.
Plant based diets: the more vegetarian you are, the longer you live. The best, Okinawa diet, is plant base diet with fish - (probably because of Essential fatty acids)
Humans grew COLD and HUNGRY. Now we live at warm houses with food available all the time.

I have been only distilled water fasting annually for 4 years. I had a moderate case of psoriasis. Furthermore, I was taking a biologic to fight the symptoms. The first year I fasted for 14 days, and it made my psoriasis dormant for an entire year, leaving no traces. I didn't take any biologics, topical, or light therapy. After a year, the symptoms returned, but were very mild. The second year, I fasted for 10 days, experienced the same mild symptoms and only periodically had to take a topical for my scalp, knees and elbows. To the third and fourth years, the symptoms pretty much remained the same. I plan on fasting for 14 days the next time and see if it removes the symptoms entirely again. I want to add that during the year, once or twice, I'll do a 3-day and a 7-day fast.

Kathleen, Lindt makes a 99% percent dark chocolate. And after watching a Dr Ekberg video I thought, 'Well, let's try it.' I was coming off a fast so I thought OK. Bought the chocolate (R53 for a 50gm block!) And ate a small square. And _YUCK!_ it was _horrible_ - like eating raw cocoa sludge. Anyway, I went back on another fast and after a while I had another little square of the chocolate. And my taste buds must have changed because I could actually taste the subtleties of the chocolate. I enjoyed it - polished the whole block off!

I did a week long fast (my own curiosity of discipline) water only.
On the 5th or 6th day I was sitting in our sunroom and decided to start humming a song, my body started to feel like I was covered in a blanket that was staticky... and waves of energy started from the top of my head down to my ankles and so I started singing and the sensation increased the louder I sang. I then stopped and went silent and it was like millions of little fish were nipping at my skin. It was amazing along with that i had 0 hunger. I dont recomend this but it was a very peaceful and interesting experience. My husband was quite impressed by this challenge I had taken and passed.

link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs11657-017-0361-0 indicates SPF 50+ sunscreens significantly Block the production of Vitamin D in the Skin, yet levels in the Blood are maintained, probably by “another endogenous source” of this Vitamin.
www.jaad.org/article/S0190-9622(97)70069-0/fulltext supports that finding, indicating Normal Vitamin D Levels can be maintained in the Blood despite “intensive” sun protection.
That said, Vitamin D3 is CRITICAL for Calcium Absorption and Immune System protection. It is difficult to obtain from most foods. I choose to supplement with Cod Liver Oil because of its higher concentration of Vitamin D over typical Fish Oil as well as help me maintain essential Omega-3 Fatty Acids.

@Margaret Gust the light that comes through a car window or the window in an office building if it does not have ultraviolet film block, will allow ultraviolet A to come through the window but not ultraviolet B which is needed for vitamin D production. So you will have wrinkled skin from the sun but not vitamin D production. Also have learned that early exposure to Sun in the morning is in the near-infrared and that is a help to your skin that produces a SPF 15 for later exposure in the day and then later in the day if you're in the Sun this helps your skin fix any of the damage that was done by sun exposure in the middle of the day. And that's also near-infrared Sun. My question is way back when(1000s of yrs ago) to even now those people who live on the equator and are exposed to the sun all the time, but eat a very simple diet not a western diet are able to be exposed to the Sun at all times, and they do not develop the Western diseases of cancer and diabetes Etc. So did cavemen have sunscreen? I think it's just more common sense, and we just need to be careful in the Sun and not get burned. As you may know they're finding that this sunscreens have chemicals that are absorbing into the bloodstream and probably being some of the causes for skin cancer. Only the zink oxide type (physical barrier) sunscreens are the better type to have. Unfortunately they are the ones that are not clear and easy to apply.

Actually, the only physical denominator of the so called blue zone centenarians is: they never forced themselves to exercise but actively involved in eveveryday activities instead. The Marathon runners at weak (disease ridden) and/or old stages of our life should take that as principle. Health is a very custom, unique process. Falco Malleo sure just look at how delicate plants are and do they shrivel in the sun ☀️? Come on ! And we are the crown of creation. I heard a doctor say we should have 40 different plants in us each week. Not necessarily different every week but every week having at least 40 different kinds of plants in our body and that includes roots like ginger and turmeric and hickory and Ginseng and herbs and spices like oregano basil thyme majorum and spices Cayenne pepper and cinnamon and bitter greens like arugula and kale and chard and collard greens 🥬 especially carrots 🥕 for the beta carotene! Friend of mine told me once you get a sunburn and if it’s hurting your skin just drink like 8 ounces of carrot juice immediately and the pain will go away that just goes to show you the power plants have on our bodies we eat all kinds of crap other than plants. There Are a lot of wild greens you can forage for as well like stinging nettles and chickweed and dandelion greens and plantain and Lambsquarters violet greens yes wake up be healthy receive your abundant life eat plants and lots of them fruits too ! That Is the cure for cancer ! Apples 🍎 and dandelions ! Check out Markus Products dot come ! His Wild Force products are great ! Try the ‘Green Formula’ green powder boasting over 40 wild harvested greens 🥬 you can learn a lot from Marcus and Cara too , check them out on TH-cam !

Dr Siddiqui Wrong. I’ve lost 80lbs in 7 months and I feel 20 years younger. I take ZERO medications. all my inflammation is gone, GI is healed, no longer pre-diabetic. I now sleep through the night w/o getting up to pee- used to be 3,4, even 5 times a night. I could go on and on. Only an ignorant person would post what you did. OMAD made my life better.
