      Thanks so much! Good for you, our industry is in need of more CPAs. We are struggling to find new talent. I think the U.S. pays more to CPAs than some other countries too. We just interviewed someone relocating from Canada because the wages for CPAs there are so low. Good luck studying! Let me know if you would like to see any videos specific to getting or being a CPA.

      @yashPatel-e7s you are very welcome! You have to have 150 credit hours from a university to include a Bachelors Degree to be able to sit for the exam. However the material to study for the exam is all self study. You don’t need to take any additional classes to study for the exam. I hope that helps!

    • @BrittanyJanaeCPA
      @BrittanyJanaeCPA  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is a great question! I might do a part 2 to include this. The last 2-3 days I would take practice exams over and over on various topics, focusing mainly on topics that I was struggling on, until I consistently got over 85s or 90s I believe. I used Wiley, you could "create" exams to practice on based on the MCQ library. I would also use Ninja CPA Review for additional MCQs to practice. I also reviewed all my notes, flash cards, and highlighted materials. Before my exam I would sit in the car and skim through my notes too lol. I treated all the exams the same from a studying process stand point. I didn't do anything different for FAR or REG. I hope that helps! Good Luck studying :)

    • @BrittanyJanaeCPA
      @BrittanyJanaeCPA  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m glad it was helpful! I would say I studied between 1-1.5 months per section. I would study about 15-20 hours per week. And yes, for the most part I would just read the study material and take the exams then focus on what I didn’t understand. I would look for other avenues to study for topics I was having a hard time grasping like watching TH-cam videos. I also had a subscription to Ninja Warrior for a little extra practice. Wiley also provided a flash card book that I ready through occasionally.

  • @SimplyAnniii
    @SimplyAnniii 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Hi, If you couldn’t grasp a chapter or concept did you study it until you learned it or did you move on?

    • @BrittanyJanaeCPA
      @BrittanyJanaeCPA  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hey! It would really depend on how big the topic was. If I wasn't grasping big topics, I wouldn't move on until I understood it. I would keep studying and taking the practice exams until it was obvious I understood the material. If it was a smaller topic in the grand scheme of things I would just move on. The study software you use should make it clear which topics might be more important than others based on what they focus on. You should also be able to find blueprints of each section on the AICPA webite.

      @BrittanyJanaeCPA  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @mariahgoss1936 I think you should practice taking more simulations. Also, focus on understanding the concept when you are practicing, as the simulations are going to always be different. @BrittanyJanaeCPA  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @AKRB10 Thank you for watching! Honestly, I would say the best way to get better at MCQ's is just to keep doing them. If you need extra MCQ's to practice, you can try Ninja CPA Review. They have a monthly subscription you can cancel anytime. I used them for a couple months when I would be close to sitting for an exam and it provides more exposure than just your current provider. I would also focus on why you are getting the questions wrong. When it gives you the reason, make sure you study that too. This helped me tremendously. Make sure you hyper focus on the material that you are struggling with if it is a large portion of the exam. Maybe even watch some TH-cam videos on how to get better at answering multiple choice questions.
