Walk was one of those tracks and then I went out with this chick in the 90's who loved Pantera and she told me what it was about. I still remember watching 'Cowboys From Hell' on VHS with her and one of the dudes in the band got asked a question by a reporter and he reckons "Satan's got me by the balls" and grabbed his plums to emphasise the point. That is the only thing I remember from the whole video.

Man this this song, like Enter Sandman has been so overplayed I can't stand them. Walk should have been a 3 minutes dong because the chorus gets so fucking boring over the years. i get it, it's catchy and simplistic like Sandman, songs to get new fans.

That was my first concert too, in '96. I saw them in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I live in Wisconsin. Had tickets for their show in Milwaukee Wisconsin the next night, but I didn't make it. Ride ditched me for a girl who was into the Spice Girls. 😂😂😂

My dad was a total metalhead and would shred on the guitar and dimebag Darrell was his favorite singer so he named me after his favorite artist i did not really listen to there music till i was about 12 and now i love there music and i stated playing the guitar a few months ago my dad passed away when i was seven so i did not really want any thing to do with rock music but times changed and love metal and rock now R.I.P dad R.I.P Dimebag Darrell

Idk man, I've been a metalhead for 15 years and I've never heard someone say this is the metal anthem, or even one of many anthems. It's popular for sure, but not Master of Puppets or Run to the Hills kind of legendary. Even Cowboys From Hell by Pantera would probably be picked by more people.

Got to see them live in 94 or 95 with White Zombie and Deftones. Been to at least 100 shows since and it was still in the top 3 best I have seen. R.I.P. Dime. You will always be loved and never forgotten.

Met the whole band several times here in Arlington at one of the local strip clubs. All very nice guys. I wasn’t into metal at the time so didn’t fawn over them, they liked it and treated me great.

I've listened to this song for years but first time I've really paid attention to the drums holy shit, absolutely great.
I saw Pantera open for Ozzie in San Jose back in like 99' or 2000. When they were done the drummer for Pantera threw his drumsticks to the crowd and I watched someone jump over a railing with a 30 ft fall to grab one. Their friend managed to catch their legs through the railing and save them. They totally caught the drumstick too. Insane.

I am happy to see Phil and Rex keeping their music alive though. Its not Pantera, Pantera died with Dime, but the world needs more Phil and Rex!!! This still tops my shows every attended. Was 20 when this tour came round The Boathouse in Norfolk, VA. Was speaker diving during the White Zombie opening set for La Sexorcista Devil Music Vol 1, you absolutely should check out some early White Zombie. For Pantera set, me and my 2 lifelong friend ran the middle of the pit back to back to back. No other show I have ever been to has matched the energy of this night.

I actually grew up the next town over from where they got their start in Arlington, Tx. I remember listening to them for the first time on the local hard rock station in the area and I was just blown away by their music.

I'll never forget a memory about this song. I'm 50 now but back in my early 20's me and some friends were into hopping up cars and car stereo systems. My friend just amped up his Buick with a new stereo, amp, dual 15" subs and a few other new speakers all around. This was a fairly new song at the time. Well those 15" subs caused an earthquake in his car. We were cruising around and this song came on. He cranked it up we were cranking out the noise when all of the sudden we smelt fresh sh!t. Apparently one of the girls that was with us was having a digestive argument with her Taco Bell. Anyhow, when that bass bomb dropped a few times from the subs she literaly lost all control of her innards and fully unloaded in the back seat. It must have been the dreaded "Brown" note and it hit hard. Her jeans were a mess from the hips down to the ankles. True story! It was running and dripping her legs onto her shoes. Was a sight to see! Some things can't be unseen.
