This is REFRESHING! I'm a Black Man who is a Metalhead! I've been to soooo many rock concerts and I was the only Black person there. I was spit on once, asked why I was there once and refused an autograph from CC Deville of Poison and then asked "I didn't think you guys like our music!" I grew up on this and I learned to play guitar from bands like Pantera! Funny how those same concert-goers now ask me for guitar lessons!!! I hate that people are stereotyped into listening to the music the masses think they should listen to. Keep your channel going and your opinions true!!! Rock On!!!

I like heavy metal too and it sickens me how black people give me weird looks while playing Tool or Deftones and others. They don't know their history of black people in rock. Some are shocked about our history in this music genre. In short, we started it, our white brothers and sisters elevated it to the next level and we moved on to R&B and Hip Hop. Classical music and jazz was ours as well. Keep rocking.

Hey Julius I was a member of the Black Rock Coalition in LA which included Tom Morello , Fishbone and the Chili Peppers. I get what you're saying, but my experience in rock concerts was always respectful. We were a tribe despite color, despite culture. If you were down with the Rock everything was cool. Yes, it's actually OUR Music going back to Blues. It's a shame that Phil is a racist shithead.

The best live show I ever saw was the Bad Brains @ The Brewery with over 300 people in a club with a max capacity of 175. The whole place was literally packed tight shoulder to shoulder - when someone was able to dive off the stage they had to be passed to the back of the club since that was the only spot with any room to put someone down.

We're not as different as they tell us we are, we all just have a different flavor to bring. It's when we have great songs like this that transcend barriers hopefully we can transcend those same barriers too by seeing the universality of the message.
