@@SourMoonBlues Know your music history. Turntablists have been called DJs in hip-hop for decades. Given that Tom was influenced by classic hip-hop, he most certainly is mimicking a "DJ" scratching and using the crossfader. Is that a Disc Jockey in the classic radio sense? No, of course not, and the lead rapper isn't a Master of Ceremonies, either, but that is still called MCing. Hip-hop is all about wordplay, so the use of simile, allegory, and metaphor should not be surprising in the least.

I think RATM is an underappreciated band in the world of Hip Hop & rap because they had one foot in Hip Hop & one in Rock, they were dismissed by elitists on both sides, but they also broke down barriers between the two fanbases & bought new ears to the genres.

All that beautiful dirty meaningful music that came from Seattle and all over, in that time frame. But Rage Against the Machine reactions I have to say are some of my favorite. They never fail to give a person a huge dose of instant energy and willpower.... Watching people get their first dose of that electric shock is powerful nostalgic energy. I know there's people who have been listening for even longer than me. I was a late to the grunge scene loser, haha, wouldn't trade it for the Backstreet Boys any day. But it's been over 20 years of RATM for me and those wild men never fail to wake a person up.

Pretty racist statement. You don't have any idea how many black and brown people are discovering this band. Please don't tell me it's due to reaction videos, if so, then you should mention , Queen, Zep, AC DC, etc.

I LOVE how he just passes it before the song is over!! You have to pull up the lyrics or turn on the lyrics for Rage, it adds a another level when you catch every word, because with Zack there is no filler!! RATM has been on rotation for me for 28 years, damn that makes me old, but they almost feel more relevant now with how visible all the worlds wrongs are!
