When I saw Glenn and Abraham having a laugh at the dinner table it really got me, it felt like my imagination.

I love love LOVE GoT so much. Trying to think of something more visually brutal than this episode, though. The only thing I can really think of that was so fucking violent to witness was the Mountain crushing Oberyn's skull, but I feel like even THAT can't top this. The Lucille scenes were quite possibly the most graphic, violent thing I've ever seen on any show.
Fuck that, this whole thing is Daryl's fault in the first place. He doesn't deserve jack shit except MAYBE a turn on the bad end of Lucille.

I know Jess for over a year now so I can tell she is really crying because she is one of the biggest TWD fan I ever met, so she is that upset. Plus, tears are kinda hard to see since they are colorless and shes whiping them all the time, so...

Man, imagine being emotionally invested to the two characters for six seasons (one for two season, but still) and watching them go through it all just to see it end like this. One of them had a pregnant wife, so it's double the hurt.
I fucking loved Glenn, he was just a kid on Season 1, and became a man throughout the seasons. He was such a genuine nice guy :(, didn't deserve to go out like that. Although I will say his death was epic in the sense it will be remembered always.

I cried so much harder for Abraham's death. Mainly because he's my favorite character but also because he honestly didn't give a shit if Negan killed him. Everyone was knelt all the way down and crying but he was standing on his knees staring Negan down.
And when he said "Suck my nuts" I cried harder because that just showed how much he cared for everyone there that he would take that beating without flinching.

Emotional wise, I agree. Actual gore wise. This was more brutal than anything on Game of thrones. And that includes when the little kid was slowly stabbed through the throat in season 2

i think the focus was on how Rick feels as the leader that lead them to death's door. good things happen when you put pride aside. there were lessons taught here. so much better to be humble, rather than to be humbled.

This episode broke my heart, but what broke it even more was watching your devastation at losing your favorite character. :( A lot of us had a feeling we were going to lose Glenn, but I never imagined it would be quite that brutal. That was a rough one.

I loved your reaction. I had the same response. I was still shaking a couple of hours after this aired. It was so brutal, shocking and emotional. But i have to say that they made up completely for the crappy finale of season 6. However sad it was (which it was, extremely).

I am a Glenn fan, ever since he got that red car in the first season, I think it was a Mustang but I forgot, either way I expected him to die, just hoped it was later on like season 9. Abraham's death shocked me a lot, he was still being developed to me as a badass, and I was hoping to see a tag along adventure with Darryl. Maggie's life is ruined, she lost her whole family, all she has now is the baby who has yet to be born. The scene that got me the most was the Sunday dinner table scene, never will ever see that again. Overall, when Glenn died, I died with Glenn in Walking Dead, too. I could barely sleep in my bed after watching that episode, I was choked up and did not want to accept that my favorite character is gone too soon, glad they stuck with the comics though. Job done too well The Walking Dead! can never watch this episode again!

Going back to watch older videos from the best reactors has been so nice to be able to see everyone's opinions. I was really glad you guys were shocked about Daryl but didn't immediately scream at him when that happened. I mean, fact is, Daryl is a show only scapegoat to get two people killed. Glenn was going to die no matter what, and they've expressed that in interviews/panels. They had filmed everyone dying and planned for Glenn to die without question because it was too important for the plot, and killing off two people added more shock value - even for comic readers who expected Glenn and only Glenn. Abraham being first no less made comic readers wonder if Glenn was safe, but of course for the producers and Kirkman they wanted him to be killed anyway, and they needed a /new/ means to do that through the show, and that meant Daryl was perfect because him being show only made him unpredictable.
I was really grateful to see definite shock from what Daryl did but lacking the irrational and awful comments, like blaming him for Glenn's death when really, that would have happened with or without Daryl, if hell, the comics didn't already scream that loud and clear. Also the fact that you guys focused on Glenn instead of yelling about Daryl, because imo that REALLY takes away from Glenn actually dying and just focusing on people making an excuse for WHY he's dying. There's also the fact that Daryl had anger he couldn't hold back anymore /in Rosita's defense/ because he was so angry about losing someone but also the way Negan was taunting Rosita. That's actually a very big moment for Daryl because he's trying to back up his family, and he's never, EVER coped well (too much anger, self harm, not dealing with it for as long as possible, etc.).
Also you guys have legit great commentary that's logical and rational. Seeing you react to Carl was so much nicer than what people usually do. I have seen so many "JUST DO IT ALREADY" comments at Rick, with the total lack of regard that this is his son who could literally actually die of blood loss from losing an arm. They lost Tyreese to blood loss from removing his arm to save him because they couldn't get him back in time, and how could he have trusted they could get Carl to safety in time? Seeing you have a legit breath of relief for Carl was so satisfying to see. Just after the whole thing you had this massive look of tension and not just "oh okay well that's over". I really genuinely love seeing reactors care about all the characters involved when in danger and not trying to find someone to blame for another's demise or injury. A+ to you guys for reacting emotionally to the characters without essentially pitting them against each other. 👍

A friend of mine reacted more or less when all of our little TWD gang saw this. We 6 (before 7, but one died of cancer a year ago) saw the first episode together and most of the time we managed to see each new episode together.
One of my friends started to cry, not really for the fact that none of these two will be on the show again but more so for the other characters on the show ... for their loss. She explained it to cynical and cold me ( ;) ) that the we know these characters so well by now that we, at least she could, imagen their pain of loss.
