Comic Comparisons : In the comics King Ezekiel isn’t introduced until a bit later. The conversation between Ezekiel and Carol happens between Ezekiel and Michonne in the comics Carol is long dead at this point in the comics as well as Morgan which makes this path completely unique to the show.

This has to be one of my favorite episodes yet! I'm really worried for Carol though. By this point she's getting more development than even Rick. And we all know what happens to characters that get a personal arc
And I was about to say it was one of the most boring episodes. :D I almost fell asleep. Im all for them setting up and giving us an idea of what the Kingdom and all that is. But nah, most of this episode felt like a filler imo. Then again, thats just my opinion. :)
Not really filler. They need to make us feel like this place is a real living community. Which they failed at with Woodbury pretty badly in S3. I'd rather they flesh out the Kingdom than have a cardboard town with nothing in it like Woodbury.
Oh yes, definitely, I agree with you. And Im not saying the entire episode was a filler. But several scenes just struck me as a way to make the episode last for whatever number of minutes it is. Definitely not the worst episode. And I am not comparing it to previous episode, coz that episode was just..crazy :D I have high hopes that Kingdom will feel a bit more "real" than, like u said, Woodbury which really felt cheap. Also my english aint the best, so I'm not that great with explaining things. xD Suffice to say, episode was OK, i just felt it had several scenes that was of no interest, nor important, thereof 'filler' imo. I'm surprised how quickly they decided to "humanize" Ezekiel, like that "cards on the table" chat with Carol on the bench. Almost all the mystery about Ezekiel flew out the window in the first Episode he's in. Oh well. Opinions..they are sometimes shared, sometimes not :)
Moon Moon I think they needed to reveal Ezekiel's past and mystery quickly because the tiger and king facade is quite crazy. If handled wrong it could have been very cheesy and hard for a lot of people to take seriously lol.
man every show can be boring..u cant see just action...or every episode being like the season 7 premiere..all the characters need their time and i think this is still one of the best shows..some episodes may be boring but u just saw in season 6..2 or 3 episodes were fkin boring and then BOOM carl with no eye ..daryl shot..etc...:D
Not only that but did you see how sheepish the savior representative was. He probably knew to keep the kingdom peaceful and docile. Ezekiel seems like he's against war and all for peaceful living, but the kingdom is massive and is not to be fucked with or made to join hilltop and Alexandria. The saviors know they have to not be so aggressive with the kingdom
King Ezekiel might be a smooth talker, but I think he's a legitimately awesome person; which probably means he will have the most horrific death in Walking Dead history.

Maybe she'll punch Rick just like Maggie did in the comic? because i think Carol has kind of doubted Rick, and it was shown when Carol questioned Rick why Maggie was with 'em during their raid to the Savior's armory. I think she's gonna take that moment from the comic.
It just sounded like it lol Carol is one of the characters with the biggest evolution on TV, she deserves to be a badass. (although she isn't trying at all)
TheSkyWhale ehhh people on the show have been through a lot more. She tries way too hard in the sense that she thinks she should make all these big decisions. Like when she killed Tyreese's girlfriend. Who tf told her to do that? Or the last season when that guy from the wolves that Morgan wouldn't kill started to help Denise get to the infirmary and carol shoots him. Like wtf? She just tries to do way too much. And the fact that she wants to question rick all the time is laughable considering that she'd be dead without him. She tried to act like a badass with Morgan and got knocked out. I see her dying soon.
