Glenn dying was Negan's fault. Like there is ANY excuse to beat someone to death with a bat.
Of course, ultimately it was Negan's fault. However, it was the actions of Daryl that brought on Glenn's death. He was safe until Daryl punched Negan. Now, if anyone else tries anything - Daryl will suffer.

it wasn't Daryl's fault Glenn died. he tried, at least, and that is what we always liked about him. he never had regard for his own safety but he did/does for those around him. I think he was going to make a last stand, and he probably thought he would die too. better him than one of the others, but negan turned the table on him and, especially Rick.
Negan is a mental abuser, he wanted Daryl to live with the guilt that he got Glenn killed.

Clearly you missed the part where they were outnumbered like 10 to 1, with no weapons while every one of their captors had loaded guns and vehicles trained on them. Unfortunately the best plan of action was just trying to get through it while minimizing casualties, until they can regroup at Alexandria and either fight back, or submit.
People are just giving Daryl a pass because he's the fan favorite, even more than Rick or Glenn. If it was an Aaron or Eugene type character that got Glenn killed, or if ANYONE did what Daryl did and got DARYL killed, they would be getting crucified.

I felt like my head was going to explode.
so many fans now hate Daryl. that bothers me because... he's not the only one who did not submit. Rick still threatened to kill negan after that. pretty sure it's Negan's fault not Daryl's. Daryl reacted true to his character, he is a fighter. I mean who's really shocked about Daryl getting violent over a female being threatened.
the part I couldn't deal with was Glenn staying alive a few minutes and trying to speak. that fucked me up. ok I'm just gonna focus on all the positives.
did you see Abraham give sasha the peace sign? and I love that his last words were "suck my nuts" he went out like a badass. I'm so glad that Yeun and Cudlitz made these characters so amazing for us, sad to see them go, but glad we had such an amazing journey with these characters.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is the best casting choice for Negan, I am so impressed and terrified.
this was such phenomenal acting from everyone but especially Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cochen. can you believe they haven't won Emmys yet? Lincoln hasn't even been nominated! I mean I'm amazed at a British actor who can * hyperventilate in a southern accent * and a lot of actors can cry on cue, but that snot bubble completely sold it as real.
I'm 100% on board for all these strong female characters taking their retribution. negan has still underestimated this group. he killed 2 men, kidnapped Daryl and tortured Rick. But he left those women alone. and they're the ones he needs to fear. I want to see sasha, Rosita and Maggie getting their revenge for Glenn and Abe. I wanna see Michonne be strong and put Rick back together. I wanna see Rosita come to Daryl's rescue. I wanna see Caryl convince the Kingdom to help fight Negan and Maggie do the same with Hilltop. I think this is gonna be the year of badass super women on this show and I'm so down.
this was the most horrifying and devastating episode of TWD ever and people actually wanna quit this show now. But I'm totally excited for this season, when you hit bottom the only direction to go is up.

I was paranoid after the season 6 finale throughout the entire Summer, thinking it would be Carl. It was a huge relief it wasn't him, but it was Abraham, I was like "oh shit", then he did it to Glenn, after that I want Negan dead, I don't care how the comics go, I want him dead.

I'd actually be happy if they killed of Daryl, he does literally nothing but go crazy and end up getting getting others hurt of killed. He's not even in the comics. That baseball bat should've bashed his skull in for both Glenn and Abraham. The only reason he's still on the show is because of all the women that think he is dreamy and bad ass. Get real.
Well even then, Rosita didn't seem nearly as broken as Maggie and definitely not as broken as Sasha like holy shit. I feel like and I KNOW everyone else feels like it was unnecessary. As messed up as it is, I'd rather have seen Maggie die than Glenn, like a complete 180 from that story arc in the comics.

I didn't want Glenn to change into a killer, I'm kinda glad he died staying true to the good man he always was. He had poor Rick snotting all over himself 😢 This episode emotionally scarred me for at least a full week or more. Even now, seeing it here, it brings it all back. My heart felt like it shattered into a million pieces when Rick was thinking about the way things could have been with the family dinner. 😭😭😭

When he killed Abraham it made so much sense to me. Reason being is because Abraham is the strongest guy in the group. But I never saw it coming. When it happened I said to my self...ok Glenn and Daryl are safe. But then Negan comes out of friggin nowhere and kills Glenn. I was in total shock because I thought Glenn was safe already. Shit!

I was on vacation in Puerto Rico and ran into the actor that plays Abraham. He was on vacation with his wife and had just filmed the last episode of Season 6. Naturally, I had to ask him if he could give me a hint as to who dies in Season 7 and he just smirked. His wife said he couldn't even tell her! She was nice enough to take a picture of my husband and I with him. They were so nice. So, we had to wait for Season 7 like everyone else.
I was on the edge the entire episode and was hoping it ends soon. I wanted that shit to be over soon

It was written, directed and over all executed perfectly.

Well, I loved your reaction to this episode. it is fitting to the horrific tragedy that took place and Glenn and Abraham will be missed greatly. I was so sad by the outcome of
this episode. i thought only one person would be killed and i kinda predicted it would be Abe or Glenn, Abe being my first choice but i did not think both of them would have been killed. I cannot wait till Rick gets a chance to use Lucille on Neegan. That is the moment I am going to patiently wait for now.

Yep worse in terms of writing, editing, cinematography, acting etc.
None of the acting was as impactful as Catelyn's last emotional pleas, and the completely lifeless look of shock-induced trauma on her face right before she was killed. I still get chills every time. This scene is only impactful because of the shock factor, as far as the writing and directing goes I 100% agree that it was overwrought and truly milked the scene. Between the season 6 finale and the 7 premiere, 2+hours over the span of an entire spring/summer break is WAY too much time on literally one scene, I was emotionally numb by the time we got to the Carl scene, when it was intended to be a shocking, adrenaline-filled moment. GOT writers are just better, but TWD is great too.
