    Everyone who is a fan of the sims 4 need to realize that the people that hate on the sims 4 dont actually hate it we are just frustrated with the expectation not coming to reality and the worst things is removing stuff from past games that people love and not implementing them and make them even better. it's like they make something so good for the sims 4 (like you showed in the video)but takes 2 steps back either with bugs,personality and gameplay

      Exactly. People need to realize, businesses (not people, EA is not people; people work for EA, but that's it) DO NOT CARE about you coming on here and saying good stuff about it; they only care if you are spending your money. And if they can get you to spend money without spending much money, themselves, they will do that. We ALL know EA cuts so many corners to keep profits and does things in such a low quality, when it comes to actual gameplay, that there is no arguing that fact, anymore. And if no one ever complained about anything, nothing would be good, nothing would be right, because businesses don't care about that, they care about making money. And as long as the positivity police keep acting as if anyone saying the game needs to be better is the same as sending the devs death threats, we are going to continue getting low quality stuff. We shouldn't have to keep explaining this to them at their ages, they should know this common knowledge. Kissing the game's butt isn't going to do anything, except keep EA releasing poor quality games and this is why I have no real hope for Sims 5; EA could literally make a box with a face painted on it and we'd have the positivity police telling everyone else to shut up and that that box is worth $100 and we need to be grateful for it. I would never even acknowledge that blind ignorance in a video.

      And I think the cost is the major factor in people being upset at her (totally reasonable) criticism. After spending so much money, time, effort in a game, you might *want* it to be good and worth the money *so* *badly* that you believe that it is in fact really good and worth the money, and anyone challenging that might make you feel bad and feel like you wasted your money, or just make it harder to enjoy something that you currently get a lot of enjoyment out of. But my issue is some have a general hate for the game and don’t acknowledge anything good, saying all the packs are trash when that’s not true. Even when they fix something in the game the first comment is “finally! But this is still messed up” never just happy for the moment. Like we just got these skin tones and now people are asking about wheelchairs and still complaining about skin tones and genetics. I understand we should voice our opinions but the complaints never stop.

    As a sims 3 player for many years, I just started getting seriously into sims 4 recently. I think what I've realized is while Sims 3 has way more things to do and sims that feel more realistic, sims 4 is a lot easier to play out stories the way you want, and of course building in the sims 4 is great. Sims 3 is more of a life simulator, sims 4 is more of a virtual dollhouse, and that is by no means a bad thing, just different. I think the biggest problem I actually have with the sims 4 is how little content you actually get in the DLC's. I really like some of the DLC's in theory but can't bring myself to get most of the DLC's because of the price tags.

    • @BooDotBoo
      @BooDotBoo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Exactly. No one wastes time and energy on stuff they don't care about. Critical simmers are that way because we KNOW how good this game could be, and they just keep missing the mark too often. Like, the community tells them exactly what we want and, somehow, we got a pack that was the least wanted pack ever? Like, that makes no sense. And they have 3 previous games to follow the blue print of. I get if they wanted to make new, innovative packs instead of the same ones (and, tbh, none of these new pack ideas have been that new or innovative, but whatevs), but if that was the case, they should have tried to fit as much of the previous WANTED things into the base game and first few packs, then they could have played around with new packs after that. EA doesn't understand that we don't want things taken away, we want things from previous games built upon and made better, THEN introduce new stuff. That's pretty much what happened with previous games: we got the most requested stuff first, then we got new packs. I'm still confused on how EA could mess this up; they had a great game and community handed to them. And us critical simmers LOVE this game, for many of us, this was our childhood, and we're more upset that we see the game going downhill and we'd like it to stop, especially when we see exactly why it's going downhill and EA won't listen, it seems.

    • @zyxcba3155
      @zyxcba3155 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      BooDotBoo I definitely think they should have prioritized order of pack release better. The fact that we got Eco Lifestyle, Star Wars and Winter wonderland before basic features like babies, hotels, Kid/teen content is bizarre and the fact that even skin tones came after all of these is also ridiculous. I really wouldn’t have cared about Journey to Batuu if we got essential content first- i still wouldn’t have bought it, nor would a lot of people, but i wouldn’t have been as mad about it either. Sims 2 would incorporate extras into larger expansion packs and Sims 3 released a lot of their newer/innovative packs later, experimental content like Island Paradise, Into The Future and Showtime were all towards the end of the Sims 3 timeline (although admittedly World Adventures was an extremely odd choice for the first expansion).

      Yep, Sims 4 wouldn't be so annoying if it didn't cost as much. If people were paying $10 for each pack, this wouldn't be as much of an issue, but when you pay $40 and only get $10 worth of stuff, of course people are going to be angry. No one has money to just spend on things that aren't as well made as they could be. Especially considering you could buy anywhere from 8-25 WELL-MADE games for the same price people have paid for Sims 4. Sims 4 isn't the worst game ever, but for it's price tag, it should be, at least, 2 times better than it is.

    People are so annoying. You’re able to dislike or like anything you want. And people who get mad at sims 4 criticism is because they’ve never truly played sims 2 or 3. I prefer sims 2 and it’s my all time favorite but I also play sims 4 and I love it for the things it does really well BUT that doesn’t mean it’s a flawless game. The criticism is also because EA HAS been able to give us amazing gameplay with past games so yeah we’re a little salty they went backwards so much. At the end of the day it’s just a damn game so why are people so mad when you don’t like something?

    • @krenko-
      @krenko- 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Of course, people are able- and should- dislike or like anything that suits them as such. But my personal problem is when negativity is all I can see. I'll admit, the sims 4 can be better, MUCH much better lol, but I still prefer it to the sims 3 in most cases, and this is coming from someone who literally grew up on the sims 3. The forums are almost always filled with negative posts, to the point that it isn't really criticism anymore- I mean, who needs three different threads about the same issue? It's just rampant, idk.
      I'm not saying people can't dislike the game, but what's the point in playing then, you know?
      I think a lot of the reason, and this is completely unwarranted so I'm sorry for even bothering you with it, but I think a lot of the reason behind the whole "sims 3 vs sims 4" thing is due to them truly being truly different games. Another comment described them as a true life simulation game, and a dollhouse game, which seems to fit my idea for them. I can't say much about the sims 2, as when I played that I was pretty young, and my only vivid memory of it was when I made a house completely pink only for my sim to end up believing it was a terrible environment! That was a sims 2 feature, right? Back then it really upset me, but now I kinda wish we had that in the sims 4! Ah, depth.
      Feel free to completely ignore this comment, I've written far too much. Anyways, I hope you have a great day, and happy simming!

    I agree with most of it but i need to say sth about toddlers. For me they feel so unrealistic, they are too independent. My sims can have a toddler and never interact with it but it still gonna grow up kinda decent. In my opinion it was cool in the sims 2 that you had to constantly help him move around, feed him, teach him stuff, it was way more realistic! You really felt like you had a baby. In ts4 i can lave him for few hours and it still going to be happy little child.

What? lol My old ass has been playing since Sims 1 and all I ever saw from you is the same passion and love that I have for this game resulting in disappointment every single damn time! This game and all its packs are very expensive and since the whole selling point is to simulate the life you want, this game should be made for the players and by the players. We are talking about a multi million company here that has the budget to do so and they still prefer a collab for even more money (star wars) and the players who made them their money just have to sit there and accept it. If things are not ok, it's perfectly fine to say so. I believe you are genuine and authentic. As a sims community we can't have this kind of toxicity toward each other come on guys ✌🏼 💗

    I love the sims 4. I have 11 thousand hours logged(don’t worry sometimes I left it running overnight) and I enjoy it to an extent even after all these years. I have so many special memories of showing my late grandpa the sims I created, teaching my 9 year old little sister how to play when it first came out(she didn’t need help so it was mainly me being an evil tween and butting into her game) and a ton of other things. But with that being said it’s still incredibly shallow and bare, especially considering the sims 3 and 2. Tbh if not for cas and the calendar, maybe even university sometimes, I would genuinely never open the game. And it hurts considering how much potential it had. I can love it and want it to be better and I think a lot of people don’t get that.

    •Snowboarding on an actual mountain and having a pack dedicated to Winter snow activities
    •Mermaids. They have powers and their tails are shiny like real fish scales and all the interactions they can do.
    •The game is much easier. This is the first one I haven't had to use cheats just to keep up with their needs.
    •Create a Sim (although they do need more natural hair colour options)
    •Build tools
    •The packs are more themed and they really go in depth with what each pack gives you

In the sims 3 if you want to change your sim when they age up unless you use testing cheats (which I normally do) you have to go to both the mirror and the wardrobe, i dunno I just like to be able to base my outfits and hair off each other in the moment. Any game can have shitty graphics or pretty graphics, but if the gameplay is subpar then it just wont hold my attention for long. But hey, at least you can play dress up and build nice modern houses though. Also, I don't mind the load screens (i have no mods/cc so its quick for me) but it is annoying in apartment buildings.

    I agree with you on not needing open worlds. But I wouldn't call what we have now "open" neighborhoods, they're not open. If all lots on said neighborhood were open/running, then I would be pleased. I hate needing to go through a loading screen to get to the park that I can literally see right in front of my sim. It would also improve story/gameplay and make the neighborhood feel much more alive, if you could see your neighbors go to work etc.

    Two things: 1. Open world was actually laggy because of coding, and their are more that fixed that. That being said, I hated the consistently empty lots and what I love about 2 and 4 is that lots are lively and full all the time. 2. I love that genetics actually work pretty well with aliens. When I had a child born from an abduction I realized that her disguise had the same traits as her father while her alien form looked like the pollination technician. I loved seeing that she actually took traits from her human parent and when she herself had (Human) kids, they inherited her disguised traits as well. I was worried that because of the split forms, they would look entirely like one or the other, or that their disguise would be genetically distinct and was glad to see that it was not the case.

But, yes, I honestly tend to favor The Sims 4 over the others because of just how much easier to play and user friendly it is. But it needs some criticism. It's easy to think just because someone criticizes something, they don't like it, but the thing is that a lot of the time you criticize things because you like them and want them to be better. When it comes to gameplay, TS4 has great ideas, but it never quite lives up to what it could be. Personally I especially agree with the music part. I love love love the singing skill, and listening to my Sims sing. I sometimes just queue up a bunch of songs and stop to listen, just because!

    What I love the most in the sims 4 are the occult sims, I love them all!

    I feel the same. Being in that gray area. I LOVE quite a lot of things in the game (My favourites being CAS and BB and the graphics). And there are things that I do miss from the Sims 4 when I go back to older games, but I also hate a lot of things. Things that have been removed from the game instead of expanding on it, which is just sad and, in my opinion, not okay when we pay this much for it. It has never been more expensive than now. It is really sad that nobody is allowed to be critical.. Getting marked for being a "hater"..

    I laughed out loud when you said you always search for trash cans, I was literally thinking that as soon as you mentioned the search bar!!

    Hi cindy, I don't think I say this enough but you are my favorite simmer that play the sims games. most of the things you point out I found I can always agree on. and you not a "hater" those who judge you like this are just narrow minded.
    omg the clubs were the best, when I did play this "game" I always play with clubs XD

    One thing I absolutely love in Sims 4 are the skills, especially the crafting related skills. Like with cooking and all it's variety (gourmet cooking and baking included), mixology has a good amount of variety too, woodworking, robotics, fabrication, flower arranging, vet treats with the veterinarian skill, media production, and even with music related skills you can write and publish songs, with programming you can make viruses and video games. I feel like there's so many different things our sims can actually make.

    I love toddlers but I hate how long it takes for my sims to take care of them! It takes forever to get them to feed them, I always have to select the high chair multiple times!

    i think you really hit the nail on the head! just about everything you listed are my favorite things too, and the rest was stuff i wouldn't have thought to list! something else that i love about the sims 4 tho... potentially unpopular opinion: i love the secret lots. the fairy garden in Willow Creek, the cave in Oasis Springs, the hermit's hideout in Granite Falls, the _planet Sixam??_ AMAZING
    i do wish they were a bit more playable, instead of really only holding enough magic and wonder for one trip 😅 but y'know, everything in sims has its ups and downs

    I love how easy it is to use mods and this goes perfectly with the easy lay-out cas has! I also love building, so manny build options!

    I am elated to see more Sims 4 content on both your main and 2nd channel, Cindy! I also have not always supported many of the decisions and things EA did with The Sims 4 and felt that it could be so much more, but there are definitely many fantastic things about it that you perfectly summed up in this video! :D

    I love love editing townies. Its gets in the way of gameplay sometimes because i see a random townie in the corner of the screen and I say nope! Chaning that outfit immediately. Actually doing this while i watch your videos

    I completely agree with your whole list. These are all great aspects of the game... I also love the size up and down keys in build buy... And the pets are cute and customizable. I was able to make both my dogs and their exact markings perfectly. 😊

    First of all, you are the most down-to-Earth youtuber I saw since a long time, and I love (L O V E) how you have a critical thinking (which is very important in my opinion, we all should have some little criticism in us), while being adorable and fun, and OH MY GOD GIRL, you make the smallest things sound interesting. Like in this video, you talked so enthusiastically about cooking, while I've never got much involved in it because I find it boring as hell :D Still, it seemed interesting in your way of telling, and I found that amusing. Second of all, sims 4 does have a bunch of lovable things in it, but people (it's me, I'm people) use so much mod to make it playable despite the things we complain about, that these lovable things get forgotten. We just forget good things exist in this game, because we tend to focus too much on what isn't in it. It's fine to some extent, we should be vocal about our complains because they are valid. But sometimes we just need to lay back and enjoy whatever little Sims 4 has to offer. And maybe we realise it's not even "little" and we find new things we didn't know about until then. For example I've never used the things you talked about in build mode, bc I didn't know I could :D But it sounds so awesome, and shows that there are parts of the game where developers did care about us.

    I definitely love the graphics in the sims 4 as well as CAS. Also, Cindy your hair is so pretty! That shade of blue is a great look on you!

    You aren’t a hater at all! When it comes to the Sims 4, it’s only fun to play unless you have mods installed while with Sims 2 and Sims 3, mods weren’t really needed for the game to be enjoyable and fun. I like your honest criticism about the Sims 4 and EA needs to start waking up and put in the effort like they did with Sims 2 and 3.
