  • (My Love & Pride) The Africa They Never Show You.
    The artist in me cannot help but create & express myself. So I decided to combine my passion for ART & MUSIC to express the love, pride and respect that I have for Mama Africa.
    I hope that everyone who decides to view or share the video will also show love & respect for Africa & its awesome diversity of beautiful people.
    Kind Request: Keep it PEACEFUL. The idea is to promote integration & encourage UNITY & ONENESS.
    I also came across a comment/response on this video that someone had made showing the beauty of the African continent as a whole. I really loved this profound words and so I am going to share that response with everyone. It reads;
    "It will be a beautiful day when Africans learn to respect and care for each other as they so emphatically like to care for foreigners. Then maybe, we can actually start to take care of each other and the millions of Africans scattered all over the globe, rather than always depending on people outside the continent to help us."

    I love it!!!

    This ticks me off in a way. I'm a 40 year black man that has been born and raised in southern California, USA. I've been to Altlanta, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco and of course Los Angeles. All these cities have very nice and very poor Hood type cities. The only thing they show us of Africa is Lions, big Crocodiles, starving kids in Ethiopia, some small military exercising in the Sahara desert. I got a little interested because of the terrorist attack at a Radisson hotel. I said to myself, Why is there a Radisson hotel in the middle of the Sahara desert? I once was blind, but now I see. Man they keep us poor people so blind and deceived.

      Funny cos my woman was so shocked first time she came to africa it's was nothing like she expected . Nothing like what she was watching on TV. And she was more impressed how people were welcoming and open . Most of people talk about africa as if it was a country they forget it's more than 54 countries with all colors of human race. The most beautiful continent with the most beautiful heart people. No matter what the system tries those people stand strong with smile on their faces. Jah luv

Why they lied to use so much in America schools like Africa is poor disease infected which still didn't kept me from wanting to go back but this is just another part of life I'm missing out on. Whites & non blacks would like us to go back, but the US government has historically discouraged blacks from returning through propaganda because they make money off of us. even with the socialist aid the US government gives blacks, they still make quite a bit of money off of keeping us here

      Don't feel down life will get better and if you didn't know the true look of Africa its fine now you can say positive things about it without feeling down negative people. want to hide the truth that has been (hidden for decades and it is ongoing still to this day but to know the truth study and when you get enough money go there. its a life changing experience one cannot forget.) but there is beauty all over the world just know the world has its pros and cons but it would be beautiful if people loved each other regardless of the culture they are from but you live on earth with some negative people out there but don't let that stop you from seeing pictures of Africa or other places remain calm and you'll meet people who have a warm personality and they would treat you nicely like everyone else if nice back so if you walk in there with a positive attitude people will be attracted to you they love when people visit just being yourself is always key.

    I went to Somalia and Ethiopia, twice, and I will personally post a video of my country's beauty its amazing, but you also missed Morocco. there is much more to Africa's beauty than this.... Like the landscape, waterfalls, rivers, valleys,forests, mountains, beaches, animals, safari, deserts, natural wonders, and the geography in general. but great video.

    • @susanjones342
      @susanjones342 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Many times all that we in other countries see of African are the landscapes, waterfalls,etc. Programs almost always focusing on animals and barren land- leaving people with the impression that every place in Africa is a remote village without water or sewer disposal systems-food is sold in open air markets on a blanket on the ground-whole communities waiting for relief aid-dirt roads-children with flies on their face in tattered clothing and on and on and on.
      We want to see the diversity of the continent, the people (many, many are very beautiful) -the different living settings-the old and the new-all of it. Not just poor, poor, poor.

      Young Luo The proxy colonialism? You must be talking about Chinese neo colonialism in Angola and Sudan. The Proxy colonialism sounds to me a bit far fetched. There is nothing proxy about black tegimes floging minerals and oil to Europeans and Chinese .. and then pocketing the money, instead of reinvesting it back in their countries.

      No my friend, Afrika is not poor because it is the richest continent on the planet, which is why it was carved up and is still being pillaged to this day. Afrikans are poor because your leaders have lost their souls and have become puppets to the enemies of Afrika. The Afrikan masses are poor because they are bereft of their historical memory. Africa is a cultural extension of Asia and Europe. You willingly practice their religions, wear their clothes, make their language and politcal systems your main operating ones.
      Christians, Jews and Muslims all follow their ancestors, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and are flourishing because they have the proper mindset. Imagine putting a Apple operating system into a Microsoft computer and vice versa. They won't be able to function properly. Well, that is what is happening with black people all over the world. You cannot be equal to someone if they are your conquerors and you adopt their ways even when you don't have to. You follow them now because you are convinced that their ways are better. For goodness sake, you even carry their names. Where have all that gotten black people? Yet look at the people we follow.

    In these cities you can walk around proud and tall, and respected as a black person, with nobody questioning your humanity. That only happens in the mad lands of America, Europe, and Asia, filled with people steeped in ignorance about Mother Africa. African-Americans should holiday and settle in Africa much more than they presently do. The word is out. Africa is beautiful. Africa is modern. Africa is enjoyable. Peace.

    Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! When I became "enlightened" to what I was missing in terms of the "other" Africa--everything good we typically are NOT exposed to--I felt cheated, lost and anxious to know more. This type of information and imagery, alone, would begin to open eyes to the (unintentional) ignorance many of us have about ourselves and each other. Thank you for sharing your video!

Third place south America, fourth place Asia including Australia. Five place North America. Six place Europe. • @cypriantertullian7495

      Reason is so the blacks in America don't get to know the truth. It's a ploy to keep blacks separated. Remember, black unity is a huge threat to white supremacy. The other lie white America will tell black Americans is that black Africans hate them. It's another huge ploy to try and keep us separated.

      BlakCrown Soundz It all begun in East Africa for Arabs and for Europeans. But at that time 85 thousand years ago, Bantu (blacks) were still hanging of the trees in Ghana and Guinea. That is where they lived till 1500 AD, when Portuguese established Lagos and traded slaves with Arabs. There were no Bantu Africans in East Africa till 18th century. As far as sciences in sub Saharan (South of Sahara) Africa? Yes in 15-16th century, some Arab mathematicians and astronomers thought sciences at Timbuktu madrassa. As identified in manuscripts found in Timbuktu library. When Arabs left Timbuctu in 19th century, blacks have managed to destroy large number of these manuscripts. That is how much they have appreciated the sciences.

      ***** what are you inferring to? Surely not that racist crap above, written by some half literate moron? The fact is that Europeans (Greeks) have learned about mathematics, architecture and medicine from Persians and Arabs. You have heard of al-gebr? Or perhaps not, you are just a primitive, repeating some racist rant. The fact is that Middle East .. Sumerians (todays Iraq and Syria) were the birthplace of European culture and in most cases, the origin of European tribes. Now you are probably thinking .. yeah, but who thought Arabs? Trust me, at that time 5-6 thousand years ago, "your ancestors" were still swinging from tree to tree. You were what they call, late developers.

    I think of all the Lies Te Lie Vision has told about Africa. And yet u see all this wealth & modern looking cities. I am an African American who has never been to Africa but would very much would like to go some day. I have many African friends from places like Ethiopia, Congo, Nigeria, & so forth. All of whom are very nice. I think we as African Americans get fed lies about our continent of Africa where all life on this planet started from. Some African Americans believe we are not even wanted there, like Africans wouldn't want us to come visit. I think they would welcome us with open arms. A lot of African Americans however have been brainwashed into thinking otherwise. I think that they don't want us to know our history which we have a vast array of. I found out when doing my family tree that my ancestors are from Nigeria. They say most African American Ancestors can be traced to West African Countries.

      To bad you can't give credit to African people for building it or financing it. Many if not all places in africa that have any remote city worth mentioning were formed and founded by European or out side nations like the Chinese, dutch, Middle eastern, etc, They build stuff, but steal Africa's resources. Take South Africa for example it was founded by the Dutch aka Holland and they formed their government and started the whole thing to what it is today.

    This generation of Africans have lost the notion of progress and self-determination and are total demoralized without knowing. These ideas were current merely 50 - 70 years ago during the struggle for independence, and within a very specific context: riddance of European domination of all aspects of African societies: economical, social, political, and militarily.
    That the goal of economic, political, and social self-determination is now substituted by flashy "infrastructure and some skyscrapers" on a tenuous or non-existent local foundation, hardly any of which were built by African engineers, shows the total intellectual disconnect between todays African and the founding fathers of our modern states. It is worthy to note that the current project of national pride in Ethiopia, the GERD dam, is being built by Italian Contractors simply because local expertise is non-existent. What rational explanation can be given except that, when this heavily capitalized project is being financed locally by government bonds?
    This is the real situation in Luanda, Angola:
    www.businessinsider.com/luanda-angola-expensive-city-2011-10?op=1
    I am ashamed that those who are obviously literate enough to post these videos don't think deeply enough. Unfortunately they are the most vocal in public opinion or government and will be leading us back into our pre-independence states if more sane people don't take control.
    What meaningful measures of progress do the countries shown in the video have?:
    1. How many of their universities use texts at the advanced level that are written by local intellectuals?
    2. What is the actual literacy rate beyond the primary level?
    2. What percentage of the economies is actually controlled by ingenuous industries?
    3. Is there an active heavy industrial sector and is it indigenously controlled?
    4.What percentage of highly skilled workforce are locally educated and indigenous?
    5. How many of the countries shown here actively promote deep social, moral, and cultural values, which are the foundation of any national identity?
    These are a few of the real measures not buildings and highways. Unfortunately, a major aspect of the reality is what we see on the news which should humble us into deep thought and action.
    It is saddening, if not callous, to site Angola as an example: the leadership of this country is a huge let down because, after a tragic civil war of 20 years, the government is catering more to Europeans and appears to be more concerned about bailing out Portugal's economy and providing jobs to Brazilians than building a competitive work force. How about providing for the millions who had hopes after the civil war? Majority of Angolans live in shanty towns surrounding the glitzy cities whiles expatriate Portuguese and Brazilians take refuge from their economic woes in Luanda.

    This is only a teaser; apart from being made in 2009, there are plenty more better sights of Africa. I study in North America but I Can't wait to go back to Africa. I live my life there. I miss talking with all my neighborhood, I miss the sun, the food, the music, the people. People are so much kind, helpful and sympathical there. I wish there was good french speaking universities there, I wouldn't have come in this country :(

    I agree! They don't show these parts of Africa in the media, however I was sooo surprised when they showed the city part of Africa on Avengers 2 movie.

      ***** Okay that's your opinion and I won't fight you down for it. I don't blame you for believing everything the media shows you. I too once believed that all of Africa was poor until a lot of people I know started traveling there and they were surprised because it was no way near as what the media portrayed and said it was just like Europe. That's why I don't believe everything the media feeds me and I would only judge a place based on my experience and not the bias media. The media only shows the poor parts of Africa because it generates the most interest and they turn down the positive stories. No one cares what America gives a crap about, do you feel people wake up each morning for the sole purpose of pondering ways to impress you people. Hell no!! If the media only portrayed the trailer slums part America, wouldn't you think that everyone outside of America would believe that all of America was like that.

    • @saharatopia
      @saharatopia 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      ***** I know that and as I said before if they only portrayed the trailer slums in America everyone would believe it was like that. Meaning that there are rich and poor parts of every single country, it is something that an economy cannot escape. But why only portray the negative parts of Africa? Why not show the poor parts of England or France too?

      saharatopia I hope, that you are not comparing trailer parks in USA to African slums? You should visit slums in equatorial Africa. Outside the slums of India, nothing compares.

      saharatopia That guy General and S.Sailer are just white Supremacists who hate to see anything good about Africa. Don't try to reason with them. Africa has extremly rich people and extremely poor but the media focuses on the poor. Even the poorest Africans, unless they live in slums in big cities are usually leading comfortable stress free lives in their villages because they own their houses/huts depending on their abilities, they grow their own food, raise their own livestock etc, . Statisticians love to say Africans living on less than a dollar are poor but wouldn't you live on a dollar a day if you didn't have to worry about rent, food, electricity etc?
      Finally, most African economies are growing very rapidly and lots of Western Europeans will in the not so distant future be moving to look for jobs in Africa . Indeed lots of Portuguese are already running to Angola and Mozambique to look for jobs. www.theguardian.com/world/2012/sep/16/portuguese-exodus-angola-el-dorado

    I am from Nairobi, Kenya! Born and raised, and 'yes' the 'well to do' enjoy a type of life that the American Upper class can only hope to enjoy. I was blessed, but I grew up seeing how my next to next door neighbours lived. I have seen riches that you cannot imagine, and poverty you cannot endure. I love these videos because they paint a very different view, of the view that you have of us 'Africans'. I also know what the reality is for us Africans...but I can stick my head up high and say that, 'except for our thieving and lying politicians (ours have been PROVEN to be 68% worse than yours when it comes to graft!! ~ Our presidents are at 800%)

      No, QB. I don't have to choose one or the other. But you do. You stick with your description of yourself and I'll stick to mine. Actually, I'm a Primordial being but I don't think you understand this. Keep it moving.

      Why?? God4bids but lets say der was war btw 2 other country and Americans sided for country one and Africans sided for country 2. which would u side??
      Just becos we are in der country dnt mean we have to be like them, am nt saying we shouldnt accept their culture but we JUST SHOULDNT BE LIKE THEM.
      being born and raised in America doesnt really make u an American cos ur parents arent really Americans.

      Who says "African Americans" are like the white man? Or want to be? The white people are NOT true Americans. They are invaders. They established what they call the United States. The real Americans are the Indians. Many include us. The real Indians are Copper Color and very dark skinned. There were lots of Africans who were already here in America. Just because I say I'm African American doesn't mean I'm with them. It means that I am of the group that was possibly ripped and pulled from the Motherland and held in bondage. My lineage survived an ugly era. Just claiming African takes that away. So I'll claim it as I see fit. I'm really Primordial/Lemurian/Nubian Goddess but I'll settle for something simpler for now. In the meantime, lets just enjoy this video, huh?
