  • African Countries To Watch. Future Super economies in Africa
    For the past 10 years, the African continent has been home to the World’s fastest growing economies. The Continent is also home to the fastest growing cities that are set to become future mega-cities with millions of inhabitants.
    This is because Africa contains all the necessary resources for such growth, be it skilled and educated manpower or vast natural resources. All these factors come together to bring about such fast changes and the result of that is having the future global super powers right here on the continent.

    • @akalkila2769
      @akalkila2769 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pxer the video is not about world superpower but future African regional powers. Pxer you need to wake up because there’s a lot of change happening in Africa. These two countries you talk of is changing and change takes time. If these countries continue on that path they will become regional powerhouses. Example Ethiopia have almost completed building a dam, designed and built by Ethiopian themselves now name me another African country that has managed to build a dam by themselves without any help of chines or Europeans?

    • @akalkila2769
      @akalkila2769 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pxer let us get it right, it’s loan and not aid. China in this present time is loaning out money to who ever what’s it, Europe, South America, Asia and Africa. Loan is not the problem, how one uses the loan is important. At this moment in time most of this Chinese loans is being put to good use. If it helps to move these countries economy surly it’s a good thing. Every country in the world owes money to some one.

    • @akalkila2769
      @akalkila2769 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pxer ok but I still don’t get your point. So you are basically telling us because African countries receive aid or loans means they will never be developed, rich or become powerful? Because what I remember after Second World War many Europeans countries and japan received a lot of aid or loan from America and look where they are today.

      I dream of the day when the Akan family can be re-united, and it breaks my heart that we were forcibly separated by the Colonial Powers...I'm an Akan from Ghana and know that my cousins are in the Ivory Coast but it hurts me that we don't have a closer relationship with each other...due to the language barrier (French vs English) sometimes it feels like we are so far away from each other when we are right next to each other... it's sad but hopefully one day this will change for the better

But you know even if Akan of Ivory Coast did some Great thing (Biggest church of the World, 2nd biggest port of Africa, etc) They dont have the same connection with the reality of the World like our brothers and sister of Ghana does.. A Ghanaen because of English Language he got a view on USA, Nigeria, ,India, Australia, U.K, etc, but an Ivoirians will have an eyes only on his neigborhood or France. When i tell em, "we need to get back with our Akan brother of Ghana, they have their own currency,and its a strong one,no ethnic division, and are peacefull,etc" they say " but for what?"Look, just back in Time Kwame Nkrumah talked about African Unity, and Felix Houphouet BOIGNY was at this moment against it. lol

    I don't think many people understand the difference between a developed nation and a superpower. I can imagine that Ethiopia may join Nigeria and Egypt as the continent's superpowers considering the population, the development rate and the superb prime Minister. If they figure out a way to resolve its internal problems, the DRC may also join that list. I believe that Kenya will be the technological center of the continent, but not a superpower. Uganda and Rwanda may have a great per capita income and living standard, but never a superpower with their population. You can see that Korea has one of the best technologies in the world but is not even a regional superpower. Qatar and Luxembourg have the highest per capita in the world but again are not superpower nations. If you see China and Russia, even though these nations are lacking in many aspects, yet are world powers due to their sizable population, higher GDP and strong military. These three are the most important factors in determining which countries could be future superpowers. I predict that in 25 years, Nigeria and Egypt will remain to be a regional power and will be joined by Ethiopia and possibly DRC. I think that South Africa will be out of that picture sooner than we think.

      good analysis, gdp has always confused me given that a country like nigeria has the biggest economy but has a high poverty rate. I believe that it is critical to have a strong working population but low poverty rate. China has a big working population but low poverty rate. India is a complete contrast to this despite having a big economy and that is where we shouldnt be confused. its also to note that countries like qatar are rich because they have a low population due to their welfare based system.

      @qwecy Israel is a regional military power, not a world power. Think of it like this, can Israel exert its influence on the policies of distant countries such as say Nepal or Columbia? That is what the USA, China and Russia are doing in the world stage. Some even say that United states is the only true superpower thanks to its cultural influencer (AKA Hollywood for soft power), a better proportion of citizens categorized in the upper middle income class, more embassies and consuls in foreign soil, housing the UN and other international organizations and a GDP that surpasses the sum of all European countries.
      As much as I love Israel, I must admit that Turkey is the real regional power in the middle east and Eurasia region. Israel's military technology is definitely superior, but that is not the only factor to determine a world power. I hope you agree!

      Delta Frost : I don’t think so, look at how Kenyan and Tanzanian governments constantly close each other’s borders due to trade disputes and let’s not forget Rwanda and Uganda border disputes. South Sudan is just coming out of civil war but is still very unstable. Look at the news now, both Tanzania and Kenya have banned each other’s airlines from their Air Space. All pipe dream but the reality on the ground says other wise.

      Mo I am yet to understand how that affects them achieving their ambitions Kenya has a seat at UN Security Council wanting it to be permanent that’s a power move both countries are still taking massive investments in infrastructure so Kenya and Tanzania are still developing despite their differences USA has differences with almost all countries but still holds superpower title so don’t be deluded by sideshows

      @@letsseeuson1264 I was replying to the mention of the East African federation being a superpower in the future and how that is unlikely to happen due to what the governments are doing at the moment. I do agree with you that both Tanzania and Kenya are doing well and both economies are important. I highly doubt that Kenya will get a permanent seat at UN security Council, there are other countries in Africa also seeking the same seat like Nigeria, Eqypt, Ethiopia, South Africa plus the many rivals of these countries and others that are unwilling to allow the mentioned countries get a seat.

    I'm not trying to hate but i don't see Rwanda being a superpower in Africa, it's size and manpower won't let it, it currently sits in the same region as Kenya and Tanzania even becoming a regional power is a little difficult, i feel like at best it would be like Netherlands in Europe, it's an important country and get a say in what happens on the continent but will never be in the same level as countries like France, UK and Germany. Same thing here, Rwanda will never be in the same level as South Africa, Egypt Nigeria or Kenya

Look at how our brother in SA doesn’t own their land anymore , look at how our AA brothers been lynched durin the presidency of Obama, there is more black people lynched durin Obama that during 1940-1950-1960 combined (years of segregation).
