I *adore* this game. Would have spent the old Vita retail of $40 again in a heartbeat. That said, anyone new to it should absolutely play through the training dungeons as soon as they're available in town - you get a ton of items for solving them, and they give no-stakes insight into both basic and advanced features. Plus they're really fun puzzles too, as they get more complex.
I got a growth bracelet out of the training dungeons and that allowed me to breeze through all three of the towers on a single life. It made me question if they game was actually way too easy.
Try one when you can - it's a classic series. I don't find it too disheartning though it can be a bit dense to get into - you need to give it time and learn what stuff does, if you hope to do well - revive stuff is a necessity. Got a lot of charm about it and super cool soundtrack.
This game is great so far. Anyone know of a game like this where it plays like a normal RPG and not like a rougelike where your level and stuff resets?! I’d buy that type of game in a heartbeat.
Azure dreams i remember you could keep some items sometimes and it plays kinda like digimon. And Crown trick is a mystery dungeon roguelite but pretty medium difficulty
@@JMrealgamer Look at the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games. It sounds like exactly what you want. Same general gameplay as this, but level gains are permanent, deaths are more forgiving, and the overall difficulty is lower.
I recently got this over the newest Shiren game. 60USD is quite steep for that game, as well as the latest PMD. However, I'll be pouring many hours in this like I did with the older Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games.
Don't let the graphics fool you... If you have not played Roguelikes this should NOT be your first. Shiren is for hardcore rogues and has some of the most bogus dungeons ever crawled in the history of the roguelike games.
Try traditional roguelikes like ADOM, Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup, ToME, Catacylsm: DDA, and Caves of Qud. They are more complex than Shiren but you'll be rewarded for taking the time to learn to play them. Also if you want to get an emulator, Azure Dreams on PS1 was a great game in the Mystery Dungeon/Roguelike style.
I'd recommend Tangledeep for an audiovisually pleasing experience. It's rather hard, as any Roguelike. But it has custom difficulty modifiers that might help on the first time.
The review is fine but it's extremely hard to stay focused on what is said because you are a poor orator. You sound like you're mumbling to yourself more than giving a review.

Tx for the tips :)

Love this genre. I agree fighting with your inventory seems to be a core feature of these type of games. Genso wanderer had the same issue lol.
Never played any of the Shiren series, but this looks wonderfully like Azure Dreams.

Both games have a lot in common and share the same feel. If you like Azure Dreams, this game is a no-brainer.
Eagerly awaiting this, will continue to work through langrisser while the clock ticks down to release.
its released on the eShop

Lol Vita.
Looks good, but the backlog is deep after the big sale, so it'll go on the watchlist for a deal

Are the mystery dungeons bonus levels, or is there any significant amount of story to them?
What I've played so far this game just seems like a real banger
Thanks for the review sir

The ds version is the first game I got and my favourite have to give this a try
You say "Mystery dungeon" type games, but the only ones I know of, are the Pokemon ones. Any recommendations for games like mystery dungeons on pc?
Yea, Spike Chunsoft is the developer of the Mystery Dungeon series which is based on Shiren games. I’ll ask around for whats available on PC

Game's name is not long enough. 0/10
You’re right
Nice disguise, IGN
Sounds like something IGN would say. I play games because they are fun. This game is exactly that. Tons of replay value.
1200 hours clocked in on steam version. Worst 20 dollars I ever spent. 0/10.
So glad I still have my ps vita
Nobody asked, but thanks for sharing.
Switch is better so there’s that I guess
Damn people can be such dicks.

Damn, this guy's voice is silky smooth.
i like the desing but not play style is boring monster cannot atk unless you atk
You'd be surprised how involved it can get... You are expected to fail quite a bit...
It's the most intense shit you'll ever play if you go to play it
