It's actually pronounced "Shear-en", it is the Japanese word for trials/ordeals. Sorry to be picky but it's my favorite series of all-time. Thanks for the video, I'm really looking forward to finally getting to play this (I almost imported the DS version years ago and was going to learn Japanese just to play it lol).
I didn't know about this game until a few weeks ago, but i thought it's funny how this is made by Spike Chunsoft, the same company that helped on the development of Etrian Mystery Dungeon, which features a new class for the series called "Wanderer"... yeah.

lol Doing Switch Reviews before the Switch even released! I know you just changed the title, but you have any idea if the Switch version has any new or different features from the original? Aside from stuff like the buttons shown on the UI to match the new controllers, of course.
I loved the gameplay mechanics of the dungeon pokemons, but it is really pricy, will look for a sale, looks promising and fun thoe, How many hours would you say the game has?
IF you go to the Aksys main site and buy the ETERNAL WANDERER EDITION, you get a lot more bang for your buck with $59.99. If you're really good at the game, 50-60 hours. If not, 60-75 hours. Maybe even more.
will probably wait for the price to come down..the vita is now just churning out ports of ancient games and pricing them at 40-50 euros for 8 bit games..

I think this works to for pronunciation ( shee-ren )
Shiren is actually pronounced "Shear • en" (same as shears you'd use to cut your hair with).

the Mystery Dungeon series go back in the 90s. The first Shiren the Wanderer is an old game, too.
