Hey everyone - After going through hundreds of tlnet and reddit threads, twitch vods and TH-cam pages I’ve compiled a big list of amazing proxy hatcheries among other rushes. Been doing lot of content scouting work over the past month and it’s actually taken up a lot more time than I expected. Especially some of the older content (2011-2017) is low quality so it takes some work to source the best quality possible. Happy to put this into a weekly video format of +- 5 rushes. If there’s any feedback or if you have suggestions. Do let me know! I may or may not have included a loss. This is just so the result of each match isn’t too predictable!
I finally broke down and watched the 'top cannon rushes' series TODAY, it's almost like you guys knew. holy moly. now I hope you're either building to or ahve already done 'top proxy rax'... altho jeez, even as a terran I'm not sure that's a countable list with the winrate there.
You gotta admire the guts on Scarlett since he almost pulled that off! Also crazy how dug in Dark was for that match. Considering how outmaneuvered he was by the opening scout, he held on longer than the vast majority of us would have.
Why didn't Parting just transfer to his natural and build probes there? maybe drop a pylon and cannon at the main and leave the roaches? I'm no pro, but that's what I'd have done...
I don't know how well it would work at higher levels, but in the upper metal leagues I have a ton of success in ZvP and ZvT using a proxy hatch roach all-in. Especially against Protoss, who wall off to prepare for a ling flood and it just doesn't work.
Because the defense was amazing, executing a cheese perfectly is cool, executing a defense perfectly is also cool, and that's still a game that falls under "great proxy hatch" cause it's a great game that can only happen because there is a proxy hatch
I don’t want to show any Protoss bias! There’s more episodes coming up with amazing Zerg wins. I sometimes include a loss so it’s not too obvious who wins. Makes some games more exciting not knowing who wins.
