@@brycematthew3115 If you just a-click the zealots, they do exactly what happened there, they spasm out because they won't attack idle SCVs (those are not a threat) but they also won't attack SCVs in the mineral line (bc the bunker is nearby, shooting at them). Stats would either have to hold position his zealots (then they attack whatever they're close to, would've been the smart move here) or he would've had to shift-click the SCVs one-by-one which is incredibly bad if the SCVs are pulled away. So the best option would've been to hold position 4 zealots near the bunker (killing the shielding SCVs there) and putting like 6 zealots in the mineral line on hold position (denying any mining) and then killing the bunker whenever the shielding SCVs are dead. This is a really unusual build from TY. I love the build though, Marauders pretty much deal with anything but workers, adding the hellions and medivac really helps this timing. The early game aggression did a lot of damage but in reality, it really HAD to do a lot of damage. You can see after the Banshees get pushed out that the worker count is pretty much even - and that's AFTER TY killed a ton of workers with his Banshees.
Damn, that was so painful to watch for Stats. However, he still played really well, considering how much the cheese at the start hurt him. The only real counterplay I could think of is to get more vision with observers to spot the drops or some cannons to slow them down. Maybe just getting like a 11 DT hit squad to insta snipe CCs and blink away would have helped to even things up a bit since TY’s army is split up so much. (Even then his dark shrine kept getting sniped)
Far from OP lol, its like saying nuke is OP if it landed on opponent's army units or killing a whole mineral line. In pro games players can spot the red dots and dodge disruptor shots consistently. There is actually a proper counter play that's why its not OP. Not to mention disruptors gets the most value against bio play because of how the units can be clump up. But even so, with good micro to split and abusing the fact that protoss splash units like archons and disruptors are slow as fuck to do multiprong attack and harass, TY totally countered protoss even thou disruptors and archons are supposedly the counter to bio. Disruptors are good but definitely not OP since there's many counter play against it.
As a Protoss I actually agree that Disruptors are a strange unit. It brings a level of quasi randomness to games as it can hit very hard or totally wiff and do nothing depending on milliseconds. Starcraft 2 already has such concepts to a certain degree with splash damage, but if you compare to banelings, the baneling seems far less random. Widow mine drops, however, is something I don't like, just like the Disruptor. It can do nothing or it can end or turn the game almost instantly. You can't really compare that to a drop, a good blink, a surround or other tactics. I agree that skill does compensate a little for the randomness, but I still think the unit design is more entertainment than it is balancing for a professional scene. Same with widow mines. Banes are fine.
@@ParleLeVu banelings can wiff if you move all the drones and it explodes only 1 or 2, and you get more uses out of mines and disrupter than a baneling

They almost always get 4-6 workers and in disaster scenarios get your entire worker line, maybe 2 worker lines. And if they don't they will disrupt probably 300-600 resourses of lost mining time. It's simply too strong. Disruptors in capable hands can decimate an entire army because of half a second of microing somewhere else. It's brutal. Or they can end up doing absolutely nothing for a relatively high price.
If Stats hadn't managed to land his Disruptor shots like 95% of the time this would've been a 6 minute game, tops. The only reason he hung on this long is he just made god-tier shot after shot with those. And you know the whole time TY was just sitting there thinking "omg I can't believe he did it AGAIN!"
