The nervous nerd negotiations at the end are the reason I come back to these videos! The lack of eye contact, the hesitation to tell each other where you’re at on price, the passive aggressive “ehhhs” and “ahhhs” . It makes me cringe to watch and that’s why I love it. Quality stuff here my guy!
This guy says “ I try to bring you stuff and you don’t appreciate it “ … dude are you serious ??? , the disrespect on this clown I would have lost my temper with this guy , you guys are still the best in the business your patience is incalculable you’ve got my respect 🫡
I would kick this dude out and tell him to never come back. Multiple red flags. He definitely knows what he is up to. A con artist and playing ignorant.
The simple fact is; buying AND selling second hand collectables of all descriptions is a major pain in the ass. I'm a vinyl music obsessive and have been on both sides of the counter more times than is healthy. I was wincing through every moment of the video. Shop guy seems like a reasonable, communicative dude though which is all you can ask for the most part.
This was painful to watch. I know so many people like that seller who think they know everything, but actually know nothing. Have an excuse for everything. I applaud your patience.
It can be just as exhausting for an honest person on the other side of the counter. Getting a fair price for things can be a real battle.... You'd be suprised how many bosses order their staff to under-value goods ("start at 10% of resale value and see how low you can keep it"). I've worked in numerous places and had to watch sellers get thoroughly ripped off..... I'd always leave before to long. In life; scumbags come in all flavours.

I love that Toy Fed is stern, straightforward but still polite to this really odd passive aggressive dude. I watch this show with my son to show him how to properly engage with people socially in awkward situations.
I hate guys like that. I call em Toy Bros. They’re always at the flea trying to sling junk for $$$. Those repro stickers on that TIE are hilariously bad.

Pretty much like all the other comments, this star wars guy just lowered/lessened this episodes likeability.. even Ryan wasn't vibing along with the content.. please bring on more FroggyFlips, less snake oil star wars salesman.
And this is a huge reason why when buying a vintage action figure or video game you should most DEFINITELY buy something that has an acceptable level of wear. If I see a vintage NES or SNES game that I want, I look for one with a modestly worn label. Clean labels or a super clean vintage figure in this day and age means repro or fake.
I'm addicted to this channel! I'm going to need to take a road trip and visit TF in person! This seller was a used car salesman. He didn't stand a chance against Ryan's expertise.

Then you have the dreaded "Minty," which is, I suppose, better? Basically, meaning hey, this is really nice, but not saying it's "gem mint" by any means. I tend to stick with words "clean" or "very nice" and describe each of the figures' condition instead of encapsulating them in one word. Ones man mint is another man's pretty nice when you get down to it. Or even better, just take a lot of pictures and let them do the talking. Or let the potential buyer do his own observation of the piece you say is "dead mint!" Just my two cents! 🤷♂️

I use to work at a retro game store and this guy matched all those sketchy types lol

Don’t go into a toy store expecting to get what you’re toys are selling for the store has to make money and sentimental value is worth nothing.
