Right from the jump, this guy had all the mannerisms of being sketchy. Rubbing eyes, stumbling on words, going back on what he said.
I use to work at a retro game store and this guy matched all those sketchy types lol
I thought I was the only one who noticed the odd body language.
How exhausting would it be to have to deal with this kind of guy day after day.
The simple fact is; buying AND selling second hand collectables of all descriptions is a major pain in the ass. I'm a vinyl music obsessive and have been on both sides of the counter more times than is healthy. I was wincing through every moment of the video.

This documents exactly what working at a used/resell store is like. Everyone is always trying to pull something. All. The. Time. It’s exhausting.
It can be just as exhausting for an honest person on the other side of the counter. Getting a fair price for things can be a real battle.... You'd be suprised how many bosses order their staff to under-value goods ("start at 10% of resale value and see how low you can keep it"). I've worked in numerous places and had to watch sellers get thoroughly ripped off..... I'd always leave before to long.

The nervous nerd negotiations at the end are the reason I come back to these videos! The lack of eye contact, the hesitation to tell each other where you’re at on price, the passive aggressive “ehhhs” and “ahhhs” . It makes me cringe to watch and that’s why I love it. Quality stuff here my guy!

8-ounce bottle Elmer’s white school glue
1 1/2 - 2 Tablespoons contact saline solution, more as needed
1 Tablespoon baking soda
Food coloring, optional
Add glue and food coloring to bowl. Squeeze the bottle of glue into a bowl. Add your food coloring if desired, and stir until combined. Then mix in baking soda
Mix in saline solution. Add 1 1/2 Tablespoons saline solution and mix until combined. If it’s too sticky, add 1/2 Tablespoon more solution at a time. The more you add, the thicker it’ll be.
Knead. Using your hands, knead until it holds together. It will be wet and gooey at first, but just keep kneading until it all comes together.
Store in a container with lid, or in a zip top bag.
I’m waiting for the seller to come in someday with about 10 copies of Action Comics #1 in MINT condition lol.

@SniffHeinkel Dirtbags like him say that. They are the ones who try to squeeze every fkn penny they can out of a potential buyer by describing their items as "minty!" Even figures that are still sealed on a card pose risks of sun fading, scuffing of paint, etc, yet I see them described as mint all the time in the toy community because they're "sealed!" Definitions of mint are interesting, eh? Sellers like to say MINT without even caring about things like paint, elbows, loose joints, rusty screws, sigil paint being perfect, etc... Then you have the dreaded "Minty," which is, I suppose, better? Basically, meaning hey, this is really nice, but not saying it's "gem mint" by any means. I tend to stick with words "clean" or "very nice" and describe each of the figures' condition instead of encapsulating them in one word. Ones man mint is another man's pretty nice when you get down to it. Or even better, just take a lot of pictures and let them do the talking. Or let the potential buyer do his own observation of the piece you say is "dead mint!" Just my two cents! 🤷♂️
