With toy collecting, actually acquiring the next piece is such a small part of it. For me, 75% of the enjoyment in the hobby is meeting others that share your passions, learning more about their favorites, nerding out over your favorite IPs, toys etc., seeing others obtain their personal grail items, and the hunt for my next piece. Your videos are a distillation of the hobby. Thank you for sharing these week after week.
These videos bring back so many great memories of not only the fun I had with these toys back in the 80's but the few years I spent doing the convention circuit and comic shop runs hunting for comics and figures.
Hey guys! You might remember me, but I was that kid that was always in your store with the glasses and such! I love y’all’s store so much. Truly a blessing to the toy world!
I really enjoyed that giant player with the shuttle launch and the fragile wheels. Great segment from beginning to end. Super cool customer and very interesting deal to witness
I got the Defiant for Christmas when I was a kid. Back then I believe it was like $99. I kept it in amazing condition...hand crank raised the gantry etc. Prob sold it at a garage sale for $5 or $10 lol
I watched a ton of your videos yesterday, i don't know why they were recommended to me, but im glad they were. I don't collect toys, but i guess it just knows im a huge nerd and this would be right up my alley. Great videos and sweet toys
@@MrAndresm900that’s where I’m at right now! 😂😂 I collect Pokemon cards but this was recommended to me this morning. It’s 10:30pm and I’m still watching 😂😂

Thankfully it seemed like only morning when out there but then the purchaser put it in his car and probably enjoyed the convention the rest of the day.
Great episode. Seeing so many Defiants in one place was crazy. JoeFest is a great show but I cant wait for Retro-ToyCon. The Action Force spot at the end was awesome.
Best part of Saturday mornings for this ol soldier ! Enjoyed speaking with you yesterday. I had no idea you were a major player in the days of 21st Century Toys ! Keep up the great work !
If i went to the toy shows that you are at i would be so broke!! Love the vintage toys another awesome video and the analog toys guy was a great bonus he's awesome
Those dudes that you bought that headquarters from they have the best deals on joes hands down at every show. Every time I go to Joe fest they have the best deals.
Watching the episode now! Anytime Joes, Transformers, or He-Man is on here I will definitely be watching lol! I so wish I could go back in time to preserve the toys I had, I guess playing with them rough and tough contributed to my character growth growing up so maybe it was better that way.....I will never forget getting the Walther pistol Megatron on Christmas and also Galvatron and Omega Supreme later on. I was always overwhelmed on Christmas but thanks so much for the memories and though I have told You the same before I really do appreciate it sir!
I wish you guys weren't so far away I just sold a bunch of toys to a local toy shop and I think I got hosed. Well I know I got hosed. But what's done is done. I think you guys would have been more fair. Keep up the videos. I watch every single one of them.
Imagine the Hasbro toy development room in 1985 or 86 when they were thinking up the next series of Joe toys. “Alright, Let’s make a playset so massive that it will be remembered by the kids when they are adults, and you will need a moving hand cart to tote it around after you take it out of the box”! “I got it, what about a space shuttle”? “Not big enough Smith”! “Ok, how about a space shuttle and it’s whole launch complex, crawler and gantry”? “That just might do it”.
"Crank it" We need a tshirt with all the ways ya'll said 'crank it' during the Defiant exchange. And I'll take a creative commission or a lifelong VIP member treatment from you guys. 😊
OMG! I'm so glad I heard someone finally say essentially that they like the art more than the toy! Yes! The toy NEVER lives up to the art. I actually feel the same way about comics - the cover art almost always surpasses the drawn art within. So yes, often times I will buy things PURELY because I love the cover art. "I have a problem..." Haha! Me too! (We know what we like!)
That's the way it was for video games in the beginning too! I remember reading my Nintendo Power and looking through the instruction manuals for games to look at the artwork before I'd play the games just so I had a visual in mind while I was playing. I remember thinking, one day the graphics will be good enough and I won't need to do this before playing 😂 I didn't know it would be this quick!
While I like the in-store episodes, watching deals put together at cons/parking lots/hotel rooms, shakes things up and takes away the home-field advantage!@@toyfederation
Wow! That's an amazing price for a Defiant. Quite honestly, I would've pulled the trigger as well. However, I believe my wife would pull the trigger on me for buying one; lol. All joking aside, this is a great deal! Love your channel & keep those videos coming!
I've been following Analog toys for a few years now,Tony is a great guy,and he realy knows his stuff. This was my first trip to Joe Fest/Valacon,and it was nice to finally get to meet him.
So... a lot to say... First, I completely forgot about the Karate Kid action figures, I used to take their clothes and use the soft goods on my Ninja Turtles, like homemade Turtles in disguise. Second, once the complete set of Joes is acquired, it would be awesome if Ryan had some sort of display to show them off, so they don't just sit in a box in the back... a UV protected climate controlled display... but still visible... 😅 Thirdly, what an amazing honor to be made into an action figure for a toy line! Every boy's dream! Probably one of my all time favorite episodes, well done everyone!

Im confused as hell i saw a video saying you werent doing vintage toys anymore, but all that i see in my feed is you looking at G.i.Joe and other 80s toys? Whats going on?
I was able to go into the store last week, it is awesome! He explains on another channel interview (TH-cam out it in my suggested vids) why he doesn’t do online sales. He would probably need another person or two to handle it if he did, and it looks like a large portion of their sales are brought in on the trades etc we get to watch, and a decent amount goes right back out the door as a store sale shortly after. I would like it if a shop like that had online as well, but it just doesn’t look feasible for them to do it. The day I went they did not have a really large assortment of vintage Joes in the case, but from looks of the store we see, they probably have to take the time and re stock a couple figures by taking the best versions and marrying up their accessories to our em out for sale. I almost wanted to ask to see if I could buy some of their more “rough” Joes or Star Wars figs incomplete, but the owner Ryan was working on sorting some figures on the floor in the store, and talking with his Marvel Legends guy right hand man. I also didn’t want to be THAT guy. I guess if they only want to put out their best they have reasons for it. I am on a budget (like most people are) and am at peace with incomplete or slightly beat up figures and playsets.
Each to their own, everyone is different. But I can not watch Analog Toys. I watched a few videos earlier on, and he was just complaining about stuff each time. I didnt complain, I just moved on because it wasnt for me. I was thinking it was just a period, something had happened in the world of vintage toys that had him riled up and complaining. I dont know if im just really unlucky, and its just a complete coincidence, but every time I have, its been a complainy, drama type video. Thats when I started giving up. Its fine, Im not having a go, everyone is different, and enjoys different stuff. Its just not for me. I did end up buying a few Valaverse figures. They are pretty cool, but every time I see the one of him, I wince, and scroll past as quick as possible.
Yeah I tottaly agree Analog and Retro Blasting spend 90% of their time shitting on other people work that they deem unsatisfactory. But it's mostly toys produced back in the day when things were different and they have the good fortune of hindsight. Couple of twats in my opinion.
As someone who's been following The Infinity Equation/LaserPants, RetroBlasting, 3POA for awhile; I can definitely understand where you're coming from. Tony, Michael, and Bobby can get on ppl's nerves for sure. As thick skinned as I am, I've certainly been rubbed the wrong way by Tony. The diplomatic (yet genuine) glue that binds 'em all together is Ryan. So I'd definitely recommend 3POA....maybe catch episodes where those three affirmationed guys aren't on there.

Dude, you went from $280 to $200 for that guy, and that is pretty solid of you! You’re FAIR!
I have seen that guy in other youtuber videos. He buys a huge amount of product, so it's always nice to have a repeat client.
Analog Toys has great videos and he seems like a great guy to hang out with.
Three dudes talking about cranking their shuttles and launching them in a parking lot!

Its so odd that as an adult, its so financially hard to buy a Defiant and Flagg as it was as a child.
