As a kid of the 80's I looked forward Saturday morning cartoons while eating cereal and playing with toys. Now as an adult I look forward to Saturday morning Toy Federation videos while drinking coffee and...playing with my vintage toys :P
That was the first video of your channel that I saw, it was great, and now we have the result of that big sale, it's absolutely fantastic, I can't wait to see all the figures painted.
Love MOTU! These are great! And I love Saurod. Favorite from the movie. I still have my original complete loose collection from my childhood. And I never stopped collecting the stuff.
The toys are great. I feel lucky to have grown up with motu since the start. It got me through a lot of rough times as a kid, I wanted to be a good guy no matter what or who I was surrounded by. I think kids really need that now.
It makes me SO HAPPY to see someone actually follow through w/ a project like this. He is gonna make BANK and make some nerd dreams come true. great video and thank so much for part 2 . Tell this man A stranger from wisconsin Wants to give him a high five and hand shake and wants a Modulok and Hordak figure . If possible ill be selling a kidney so I can get a Slime pit from him
We now have transformers that really transform I can't wait to see motu moving on their own Great episode and great toys Much respect to you and your crew
Interesting to hear the background conversation about Funko Pops. I think a lot more will end up in landfills once people realize how worthless most of them are.
@@bloodeagle6458 Printing figures for personal use without licensing is perfectly legal. I'm sure he knows more about the process than a bunch of bitter, middle-aged men who think they know more than they do.
Those figures look spectacular! That said, I struggle enough with limited space for my regular-sized MOTU [Origins] collection. I cant imagine trying to have the space for these. Super cool fir those who want 'em, though!
I'm 47 and this brings back so many memories, I had all the He Man action figures even Adam lol . I wish I still had my Mask and Bionic 6 ones. I might have to find that collection just to have.
It's like some of my earliest memories of having these figures and that to me as a small kid in the early 80's that they really were that size. 😂 This figure line was big and bulky for the time.
Very cool. I have a 3D scanner and several SLA machines to do this. The resin you use in them is pretty toxic (liquid cancer). Even after it kicks off. Hardest part of this is the painting process. Love it!
How did he get around the intellectual property rights to create oversize He-man Characters? Is it only for his personal use or is he going to sell them?
IDK man.... I feel like the hype for Jumbo figs died off with the Gentle Giant SW line. Most of us are looking for ways to make our collections take up LESS space.
Is he 3d scanning and upscale? I mean they are simple sculpts to do. But still wonder what the process is. Resin prints for the prototypes for sure neat
I literally just watched part 1 before bed last night. Woke up and part 2 is first thing in my recommended lol. It sounded like a bit of a pipe dream but actually looks awesome.
Huge congrats to him on making it happen 👏🏻 my favorite part of the episode though was like the 10 seconds of funko pop talk about how the market is crashing, and you turn away 400-500 a week. And how the landfill article is what you think triggered it. I would love to hear more discussion like that in future episodes where as a store owner you see certain trends on things new or old. Thanks

Just watched the original video last night and so many people didn’t believe him. 😂 But I thought he said 24” in that one. Still looks dope but maybe it should be a little bit bigger than this to stand out from the 12” ones a little more.
Yeah, these are nowhere as big as he originally made them out to be. Not different enough from the oversized Mattel ones to make these at all unique. Now if they’re doing oversized vehicles/playsets, or dinosaurs, that could be interesting. Or the M.A.S.K. line that he mentioned at the end! That’s what I want to see.
I always dreaded the day I knew might come, when a insane, lunatic would increase the size of the motu origins original scale. I think Mondo is bad enough!!! But looking at them at this scale makes one further appreciate the original designs of the characters even more!!😂
So how does this company True Legacy Design plan on making money?!? They obviously can't sell the figures because of copyright infringement. Very bizarre! I think the guy is in way over his head truth be told.
Good question but that depends on many factors such as how many he is going to produce of each figure. If it's super limited which I think is what he's going for then there will be No problem with copying the design entirely. If he intends to produce thousands (unlikely) then sure the Bigwigs would go after hum.
I think if he sells one, he should be sued. I wouldn't want my creativity and hard work being copied and profited off of, by some random dork who bought a 3D printer.
I remembered when he came in and Bought all the He-man selection, I though they would be bigger, but still very cool, they'll look awesome when fully rendered in color.
Great video as usual. I’m trying to figure out though what the 3d printing guy is ultimately trying to do. Seems like a lot of money and trouble to simply make bigger versions. I’ll stay tuned in to see how it turns out.
