This interview spoke all the words I have never been able to say. It is my story very much. I had a traumatic childhood, was raped in my home and became pregnant and raised twins from that experience, as well as surviving brain cancer. I did not have proper support and as a result, spent decades of my life not knowing or understanding myself or how I was allowing the trauma completely to rule my life. I have been homeless many times because I run when things become too much. Thank you, Tom, for this interview and thank you, Fran, for your wisdom.
Hey Lisa, I'm sorry you had to go through so much. Running from pain is just a normal human response, and I don't think people recognise how heightened, overwhelming and painful emotions can feel after a traumatic experience. I hope you are able to develop the strength to face those emotions, heal and find the support you need and deserve.
What an incredible woman, I really can't believe how on point every bit of wisdom she gives is. This is what "woke" is supposed to look like. So genuine, so much integrity, so much wisdom. And to top it off she is absolutely beautiful, just as stunning as she was in her Nanny days.
This is such a great interview. Very respectful, you let the people speak. When I first heard about the rape, i was totally shocked and asked myself how she moved on from it. She is such a positive personality. Thank you for this. I wish her all the best for her future
I think what Fran has been through and how she walked out of it are really something we can all look up to. She definitely is a gem. I agree with her notion saying that we need to sit through pain, not fight it, not denying it. Thanks for this interview Tom and Fran.
I have been binge watching the nanny and happily divorced and came upon this looking for indebted and I am SO grateful I found this. It's been 11 years since the home invasion and SA but to this day I still jump, I still get scared, I have nightmares of locking all my doors only for the doors to be wide open when I turn around.... not actually dealing with trauma isn't a choice sometimes... we're taught to move on to be strong... its wonderful to hear another survivor talk about the actual steps and tools towards actually healing. Good bless you fran, 🙏 the world is blessed to have you
What a wonderful woman, great to see who she really is, outside of comedy and that she is making a contribution to others going through trauma as well....bless her!!
"Im gonna take a sip of tea" Tell me why I laughed way to hard at that. Fran doesnt have to even try, she has so much comedic talent it just seeps out into eveything.

4:35 - "Why is the universe presenting this to me now?" That's a powerful question. Great language in that question too. It's impressive how there's nothing judgmental about that question.
is funny that the same time she said that i was reading your comment . haha now im asking this question why the universe want me to listen to this question and read it at the same time XD.
My mom loved the Nanny growing up and always had it on in the background. She dropped a lot of gems in this one. Great to learn from someone with her experience. I can relate to the mental parts of her trauma all too well. I wish I knew some of that stuff back then. Live and learn. Boosh!
Fran you are such a valiant person for sharing authentically your learning experience in what most people even the ones that are the closest to us will never share for fear of wrongly being criticised or judge...you are a well rounded truly a loving person and for all of the love in everything you share I Thank you With all My Heart!
This made my whole morning. I'm so grateful for this show and processing trauma. 🙏 I am in two big life changes and I needed and appreciate the perspective. Huge fans of both of you
I believe this is the most crucial rule in life. I don’t think I’d be able to pass high school and get into top business school while running a TH-cam channel if I haven’t prioritized well...at the end of the day You are the one you’ll spend the most time with in your life

Tom was so prepared and "study" very well the interviewer . took every chance on the Fran's sayings. He was to the point to make the outcome he wanted for his audience on every topic. very good job. exactly what we wanted to hear from a person (fran) with so many different trauma situations. the reason I just subscribed.

Tom, I’ve been a huge fan of your work and so ever thankful for the guests you have introduced me to. I am indebted to you for helping me. It is my mission to pass that humanity on to others. That being said, I was not expecting to be moved as much as I was from this episode. Fran, thank you for sharing your experience and wisdom.
Tom is by far the BEST interviewer God has ever created ... He NEVER interrupts , listens , but TRULY listens , and knows exactly when to ask his next question ... It’s been such a pleasure to watch Impact Theory and I have learnt a lot from the episodes .. Too bad I don’t live in LA , in fact , I live far away from LA , about 6000 miles away , but if I did , I would do anything and everything to have a chance to volunteer and work for free for him .. Thanks buddy for all the episodes and being such a great inspiration ..! 🙏🙏🙏
Tom & Fran, Most beautiful, inspiring & uplifting interview. Really appreciate the reminder about grounding; standing barefoot on the ground in backyard (haven't done this in years) & soaking up some sunlight) (Carl Lanore). 😊🙏😊
I just came across this channel for the first time, when I read Frans name, I decided to watch it, thinking it was a few minutes and will be a funny clip. I did not know about Frans real life, with her smile one assumes is all good. This interview has been very good, as the questions and her answers were so spontaneous and profound. With all her traumas and growing pains, her selfbeing cultivating and growth, is simply wonderful. I was a fan during the Nanny sitcom years, that show itself was a therapy; However the serious and real life issues, that she shared are very inspiring and admirable, just to see her smile, makes one feel better and appreciate the beauty and kindness this woman iradiates, and helpus realize the human kindness. Thank you for this interview, really helpfull at this changing life style times we are facing. Blessings.
I noticed the health problems people get relate to their traumas as well and I am glad she mentioned it, such great wisdom throughout the interview. I notice that these parts of the body also relate to the chakras...which people say aligns with the endocrine system.
I simply love Fran Drescher! She is so intelligent, beautiful (62,please. 45 tops),well spoken, a warrior, she created The Nanny... seriously, I admire her so damn much.
This is beautiful. She is beautiful. She made my childhood and growing up even better with The Nanny :) Now I see her as a really powerful, wise women who loves people but she is still learning to love herself. She put everybody else at first place, and then, maybe then herself. Again, I love her! And, Tom thank you for all your guests and your content. A lot of kisses from Croatia :*
Thank you for sharing such a sensitive and personal part of yourself MsDrescher! -- Going back to you Tom... you made a specific comment, callingout Fran's astute link between her trauma and her development of Uterine Cancer as "Weird." And then you glossed over her response. By dismissing her followup with "interesting" and then launching into your monologue about using psychedelics you are negating the point of Fran's whole answer to your question. She was giving you the GOLD... the very nugget of her answer to your original question was about “How She Overcame/Dealt/Survived” the trauma she went through. The GOLD Fran was getting to is the mind-body connection to how WE CREATE our own issues/dis-eases… The QUEEN of understanding this truth is Louise L Hay… look at her book “You Can Heal Your Life” - Page 185… Cancer comes from “Deep Hurt. Longstanding resentment. Deep secret or grief eating away at the self. Carrying hatreds. A mindset of “What’s the Use?” Your real followup questions should have been about -- “How did you get to your understanding of the mind-body connection” Then she would have shared her path that could have been really helpful for other people.
Brilliant! One of my favorite because I relate all to well with multiple traumas and the determination to grow to be my best self despite limitations and the tough but beautiful journey that is mine.
Thanks for keeping the videos coming!! Been out of the routine and getting back in. Good interview for this time with the anxiety that people have been feeling these days with watching News and etc. Huge thanks!
Everything Fran has been through is so sad, but her strength and depth are inspiring. These ideas Fran shared about being in the present moment are not originally from “Buddhist” ideas, they are from Torah. I wish Fran who is a born Jew can find and know that. 🙏🏻
Thank you to both you! Wonderful questions and wonderful, honest answers. In so many subtle ways, we're conditioned from childhood to put others ahead of ourselves that it engrains itself into us. To be able to finally put yourself first is the biggest feat for some people (me) and is the most liberating feeling of all.
