2.5 years ago I was 220lb, today 170lb and I am now able to run 10mile/week.
I am 70 years old.
The weight loss was from my recliner without exercise,
simply intermittent fasting, and
low carb diet.
It works.
When my MD saw my blood work his smile was huge!
I have also dropped a Statin, and Ace Inhibitor.
BP average is 120/60 RHR 65
Not to influence people not to build muscle/ be active, of course... But that's great news good job

Find a good organic bakery and buy its whole-grain breads. If price is a problem, ask if they sell day-olds. Most do.

I have a family member that is addicted to sugar. When my wife and I talk about their addiction And their behaviors, if we substitute the word sugar for heroin it would still all make sense. People addicted to sugar behave in the same way as drug addicts. It's alarming when you realise the similarities

So sourdough bread is better to eat?
How can you keep sour dough bread fresh do it does not go hard...
Freeze it and take out slices as you need it - it separates easily. Or toast it when it’s stale or make a bread and butter pudding with it.
But do men do better with fasting than women?
Obviously this is just anecdotal, but I'm a 70-year-old woman who's been intermittent-fasting for about a year, usually 18-6 (finishing dinner at 6 or 7 p.m. and not eating again until noon or 1 p.m.) but sometimes 16-8. I've lost 30 lbs and am keeping it off with no trouble. I get a hunger pang around 9 a.m. but I have a cup of tea and it quickly subsides. An unexpected advantage is that I really enjoy my food now. I feel light and lively. Highly recommended.
