tomorrow is presents past... dedicate this track to my sisters birthday... she loved bryan and his songs - and so do I - sadly she died too soon - listen sister... it's my thoughts for you today...
I'm surprised that Bryan isn't better known here in the States. His sound is uniquely his own and his songs are written with talent and thought. Saw him on August 6 1988. You don't forget seeing him.
Pulp did well at that but that was mid to late 90s so it was probably still fresh in memory. We also have a band here in Belgium called Vive la Fête, they were also a 90s band mostly and did well at sounding very 80s.
I'm a stranger in your town That's the place I belong Laid behind the frame And the curtain's torn again A wailing saxophone As you know it's all in my song All the sin that I can take But you don't even know my name You've got no sense of fun But you know I've one All the good has turned to bad And you know what I think of that No time to dream No time to sigh No time to kill When love walks by And who's that crying in the street Death is the friend I've yet to meet
Don't cry please ..Even over sensitive Your souls weak moments..at the end of the day is night ..& it cant be better than last..a sigh breaks heavy memories bruise and the wound heals again till the next morning ..who is he..how dares...
"Cobbs", but heck yeah. My favorite background singer from that era. She was always willing to try something new, incredibly-professional, versatile, adaptable and saw her job to be to give her employers whatever look, sounds, moves they wanted, and to make that happen every time. As a result, this Music & Arts HS grad -- who spent so much time rehearsing with Fonzie up at Columbia and starting in Chic -- got to travel the world on a truly-extraordinary range of projects on stage and in studio, from Roxy Music to Debbie Gibson to Duran Duran to Paul Simon to Aretha to Diana Ross to the Police and on and on. And she was amazing in every role, including a classic Miller Light TV commercial. I just light up whenever I see a video with her in it, or hear her voice on something, like the opening to The Reflex. And not for nothing, but her singing chemistry with Brian on this tour was remarkable, particularly-noticeable for example on Windswept.
The late night breathed down my neck..when I came in kind of club. .large & noisy there where music was smooth, and mysty, exclusive by the long bar, quiet. .like tall shaddow I noticed standing right in the meddle ..when I put my elbow ,left almost near the end..looking for kind of darker space..and nothing but minutes I could spend staring in front of me..When the barman came along it seemed he wantwd to disappear as fast as possible. .Polished white shirt, ironed carefully..and afew kind words ..coffee ? ice ? and that was all..but it wasnt dark enough. when I turned a bit right. .to see..something I better.. never did. ..or it was just a ceremony of begining...the night that never ended...
@@jeshkam I can't remember but its the first season, and the episode starts at night on the beach. The dealers pull up on the beach in their boat, and the deal goes down in the restroom, but an unknown stranger comes in the restroom room and kills the dealer before Crockett and Tubbs could arrive. I hope this helps.

Ferry was at the top of his game in 1988. Perfect! ❤
A spellbinding, hypnotic, and sensuous masterpiece…….
can’t agree more… tears
This is the climate of the 80'. Some artists try to imitate it today, but it's impossible.

Perfect performance!!!!!!!!!!
Pure elegance.
I'm a stranger in your town
That's the place I belong
Laid behind the frame
And the curtain's torn again
A wailing saxophone
As you know it's all in my song
All the sin that I can take
But you don't even know my name
You've got no sense of fun
But you know I've one
All the good has turned to bad
And you know what I think of that
No time to dream
No time to sigh
No time to kill
When love walks by
And who's that crying in the street
Death is the friend I've yet to meet
sensual & unforgettable
Wish could go back to 1988

83K views for this masterpiece is plain proof that we're living in an upside down world, excuse my saying so.

Michelle Cobb is very easy on the eyes. She is one beautiful woman!💕❤️ 2:11

Perfect live version. I wish Brian would pronounce his words better.
Bryan with ''y'', honey...
Farley Taylor at least he can spell his name
I wish, Mr. Bryan Ferry would pronounce his words better. Okay people?!
