    BIG tip here! After the installation, CVJ recommends rolling your vehicle 1/4 rotation of the tire and checking to make sure none of the ribs on the inner boot are touching. If they are, you need to clip the small diameter clamp on the inner boot, slide the boot outward slightly, and roll the vehicle another 1/4 of a rotation of the tire and check again. Do this at least 3 or 4 times, and then use the extra clamp included with the kit to replace the one you clipped. All in all, this was a great video, I WISH i could say I did mine in 57 min lol

    I have 10k on my cvj axles on my GX470. The boots are still in great shape but the inner joints are already making noise and need replaced. Called CVJ and they said there is NO warranty. I will not recommend them, good luck with yours lasting. I should have just bought parts store axles with lifetime warranty.

      Hey Jeremy , that’s good info to have. I know a lot of people that have used them with good results but I’ll definitely keep an eye on them

      Same thing happened to me. NO WARRANTY. Less than a year old. Both “high angle” boots ripped.

    Good mornin and Merry Christmas. A couple CVj axles came in the other day for my 03' Sequoia. I am really counting on these being good axles! How are your holding up a year later?

    Nice job buddy, I like quick jobs that make an improvement right away. I was going to film my leaf spring swap, but I got lazy. I am however going to try and film rebuilding my control arms.

    Any update on condition of your cvj axles? Are they still working good and how are inner and outer boots holding up

  • @eze8024

    Is anything actually different between these and oem axles other than the ors boots? Seems crazy expensive for just boots

    How are they holding up? I replaced my lifted Tacoma with a Napa one (was on a time crunch as I was travelling with the vehicle the next day for work). That axle only last under a year, boot on my outer side is ripping again.

    Nice Video. I ended up ordering some for my 99 due to higher angles after a lift. Have you noticed any premature wear?

    • @pinoyboy808
      @pinoyboy808 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does your 99 have manual hubs? Or ADD? I'm in the same position in ordering some high angle cv axles from cvj as well. Just want to know how fitment went?

    • @TMROutlander
      @TMROutlander ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pinoyboy808 no manual hubs. So far fitment is good. I ended up also keeping my diff drop.

    Watched your video. It definitely got me interested until I checked out the CVJ website. Why would anyone purchase these very expensive axles, pay for shipping, both ways, for axles that as soon as you install them on your off road, lifted vehicle, (for which these axles are sold), voids the warranty?
    This is exactly what it says for the "Best" axles for my vehicle, "Warranty - When used for off road or in lifted/modified trucks, there is no warranty."
    Buyer beware!!!

      Thanks for the comment man. I took some time to prioritize the chaos that is having a second kid and it’s been really great. Look for some new content coming out in the next month. I’m ramping back up with big plans for the channel this year.

    How they help up? My rough country 3.5 lift kit keeps breaking my Cv boots. About to put the old suspension back on just looking for an alternative

    Also did you need to get an alignment after swapping cv's?

      I’d say get remanufactured OEM ones, I was able to snag for about 117 bucks a pop. They are superior to aftermarket

    • @RicoAdv3
      @RicoAdv3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@oASSAULTo I ended up getting remanufactured ones as well. And I'll be ordering the cvj high angle boots to throw on the spares and a set on the oem ones whenever they go out. Thank you. I almost went with napa but oem felt best.
