So my band teacher is a huge nerd and he's having the band perform this, being in guard and hearing this if we stay inside instead of practicing for whatever reason, it sounds absolutely amazing, and I cannot wait to see the band perform it perfectly in full

@@Skeletons_Riding_OstrichesSmash is not canon to any of the franchises it represents' own games, so it's not really a spin off to Mario, Kirby, Pokemon, Zelda or really any other franchise.
This is where Kirby goes to when he wants to remember his dominance in SSB64.
when kirby first entered smash bros during the 64 era he was going all out sakurai later told him to hold back so the other fighters wouldn't feel so underpowered so from then on he's been going easy on the smash cast to make them feel better. When dedede and metaknight joined in brawl dedede got the memo to go easy on the smash fighters so he too held back metaknight however was a true warrior and didn't believe in holding back so he gave it everything he had both kirby and dedede later convinced him to hold back in later smash literation's

But seriously, sometimes if one of us really goes good at the other, one of us is out like 2 seconds after 0:12. Sometimes the volume is so low or the room is so loud we can't hear the music anyway. (To clarify that only happens when we play melee, if playing ultimate it takes til about 0:30 for someone to lose a stock) Still love hearing the music When it is loud enough though. Usually is when I'm at home playing against a CPU

problem is....... mine still says no go to GameCubes for actual esports tournament events. Only the "open social"/"practice" days. So we kinda have our own mini tournaments with each other in melee on those days somedays, and then practice on ultimate (the allowed game on the allowed console) on other days. All started the day I got permission to bring my GameCube on those days.
I had found put the school board simply didn't give GameCubes the ok, as Melee was supposed to be the main game for our ESports tournaments originally, but despite the decline the board offered to give the ok to Nintendo Switches instead so that's what ended up happening. However since the practices are also dubbed "Open Social" Days, Other systems and games are supposedly permitted. It's just I'm the only one to utilize that ability. It was actually cause of this whole situation and the small details given to me at first that resulted in me not joining for the first half of the year. I wasnt told which smash it was, so I assumed melee, and practiced hard on it. Realizing it was ultimate, I ghosted the club and it's people in shame fearing I'd be horrible at the game. I'm getting much better at Ultimate though. So it's been going great recently

@@lukeh5521 I think you are right. It does sound a lot more like a clarinet and an oboe. I just loaded some solo patches from mywoodwinds libraries and the tone is identical. I think there is a flute playing a few notes in back of the solo. You have a great ear. I'm going to definitely be adding some solo clarinet parts to my compositions now. The are beautiful sounding instruments.

There IS a flute playing embellishments to the solo at 1:36, before joining in with the clairnet and oboe to finish the melody at 1:41.

It's amazing how Melee could be fighting on Mute City with epic music in the background, or fighting in the city with cars on Onett, or fighting with Kraid in Brinstar Depths. It's endless.

This was the first stage my friends and I played when we played Smash Melee back on the Gamecube! I remember being blown away by how much of an improvement Melee was over Super Smash Bros. for the N64! The graphics, the music, the controls. Everything was dialed up to 11!
Imagine a modern full orchestra playing this and being there irl. We need performances like that honestly of the whole soundtrack.
I am absolutely not an orchestra person by any means, but I would happily sit through a performance of this as respectfully as possible smiling from ear to ear.

Kirby pretty much is a god who goes to battle against Lovecraftian nightmares, so it fits.

When a Orchestra Remix of Gourmet Race, an already existing song in the Kirby games was so powerfully done that everyone from multiple fanbases of Nintendo loved it to the point it became its own song in its own right to fully represent the setting that it was made for.

I remember a comment like this: Me and my brother would always stare at each other when we played on fountain. We would not move until the little intro tune was finished. Out of respect.
The intro sounds very similar to a short section of the song "To Star Lake" from Howl's Moving Castle, its beautiful, I absolutely love it.
Even when I was a kid I knew this was a master piece that stuck out idk why it was just so epic and full of character, dramatic effect, melody and harmony between the various different instruments

First heard this during a Supertf stream. He put it on as some inspirational music as team was losing and this came on and I fell in love with it straight away. Great piece of music
They went so hard for some of the smash brothers remixes its absolutely ridiculous. Fountain of dreams was the battlefield my brother, friends, and I always chose and each fight just felt that much more epic with this jamming in the background
Hearing this again oddly makes me want to finally experience the Kirby games for once, the classic ones atleast

I love this music! I wouldn't say I'm a Kirby fan but a Smash Bros Kirby fan.
I mean, Smash Bros can only show so much of what made the Kirby franchise so special. A deeper dive into the games that the franchise offers could give you an even greater appreciation for the character.
