Beautiful view Peter n I think Dave stood really well seeing the pain he must have been in , I hope your beautiful family are all doing well . Have a brill weekend .
Oh poor Dave. He did jig about a bit but who can blame him. You did manage to keep things under control. I'm sure he'll feel a lot more comfortable now. Have a great weekend. 😊
Hi Peter. How are you? How is your lovely family? Hope everybody is doing well. Hiw l missed your videos. Your work is perfect and amazing as always. He is such a good boy. Wish you all the best❤
We are doing great thank you. Hope you are keeping well? Jake just had his first week at school and Evie is trying to walk now 😊. Dave did his best he is a good lad.
Great video as always love the quickness of putting the poultice on 😂😂 takes me a lot longer than that. He will feel so much better after that nasty abscess has been drawn out. Xx have a great weekend Peter and family
A long soak in warm water and Epsom salt twice a day worked the last time my horse had an abscess took a while to burst. Dead of winter, lots of snow but it worked. Glad you helped him.
Ouch, poor boy!🐴❤️🩹 But he is in the best hands now! The angle of his foot also looked much better after the trim, as far as I could tell. Did he lose one of his shoes or did the one he stepped on belong to another horse?
I hope you have a great weekend ahead 😢 family, Peter!! Wishing you all all the best. Your friend, the Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦l Who is recovering from a cut on her right buttock and can't ride for 10 days until the sutures are removed!! LOL 🤣 🤣 🤣
What do you use in the poultice? Since it is clear, I know no iodine or betadine. Do you use peroxide or chlorhexidine? Would that abscess heal faster if it was opened up a little more for drainage & medication to get in there?
I used animalintex to draw out the Abscess. The abscess was already drawing out on the old poltice. You don’t always need to make a big hole for the abscess to go away. One step at a time. This always depends on the individual case. But for him he already had improvement from the first poltice.
@@Peterthefarrier just curious...I know baking soda and water (as a paste under a band aid) draw things out (such as splinters)...would that work on animals?
If you would like to see a part two let me know in the comments 😊
Yes please 😊
I’d like to see an update on Dave

Nothing beats a new brush. And yes, I’d watch any video you make about the animals.

Hoof walls, false souls, bars and frogs. I’ve pretty much become an expert watching your videos. 😂👍🏻

Good job 👍 After it finished draining, use a Clean Trax soak to finish cleaning out any infection.
