Kids who say today's NBA is the best and the players are "Bigger, better, stronger" these days really need to watch the most intense, competitive, do or die postseason games of the 90's from tip-off to final buzzer.

@TheRealMindCrime 54 points. Only one layup. All the rest were jumpshots and at the foul line. I remember that series. Jordan struggled with his shooting that post season because his wrist was injured in the regular season against the pistons. If you ever see a highlight where Jordan is on a fast break and Dennis Rodman brings him down and Jordan was in pain, that's where he injured his wrist. He finished that game. And Bulls won. people don't remember it because Jordan never made excuses because of injuries. But all throughout the rest of the 93 season you'll see his shooting wrist wrapped up.

Can't remember if this game was on a Saturday or a Sunday, but I remember watching it sitting in the living room and screaming at the Jordan split/steal/recovery block play. I knew right then the game was over - having watched Jordan through his entire career on WGN, you felt exactly when Jordan would 'flip' the game. The entire team would get rabid defensively, I think Bach called it 'unleashing the dobermans'. Jordan would get really active, make some plays on both ends, and the entire team would just suffocate you defensively. I think the 92 team did this the best, though I'd say the 96 team was more balanced in general and had better backcourt defense (outside of Pippen and Jordan). Rnady Brown and Harper were better defensive options on that 96 team vs. what they had in 92. But man, when that 92 team wanted to lock you up and put the game away, they just smothered you with a pillow.

shaq was bad at free throws but when he needed to win he would drain em. I think its just part of his mentality to get by with being dominant.
