These 3 videos are my favourites from your channel. Thanks doing something noone else has done.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think MJ regrets being so hard on Kwame Brown. I appreciate the Wizards years, but it would of been a better story if that happened in Chicago.
Things I didn’t know until recently: * Bob Costas worked for WGN for a short spell * Bob Costas was play by play for the Bulls for one year So he has a bit of sentiment for the bulls. Possibly, most important: * if you search for “images Bob Costas WGN” you’ll probably find a hilarious pic of Costas in a very 70s haircut
LeBron complete defensive focus: position himself for a rebound.
I just saw that Scottie Pippen had an long interview with PBD Podcast.
Yeah i saw that too. Gonna save it for a reaction here soon. I can't wait
Everybody gotta scramble and play harder on defense smh
The flop James the false goat
Good night my friend let the show begin have a drink and snacks
Enjoy this short but sweet one my friend! Have a wonderful night!
How could you not mention KOBE?? 20 YEARS
Cuz Costas was talking about teams sticking together here. Costas was right. Lakers had a dynasty but then Shaq left and thr team blew up after 2004. Kobe stayed the old schook way which i love but everyone else left. Some came back but not all.
I think the point here was the team (at least the core) staying together for years, not just one player. Kobe (post Shaq) had players coming and going for a long time before finding success and even then it didn't last long.
@TheRealMindCrime You're right in that sense, for sure. It wasn't multiple players. Just Kobe and Fisher. It was just Kobe who was the last loyal GOAT of his era. But I was talking more about what was said about a team's identity, so Phil running the triangle and Kobe being an alpha for a title was consistency for me, as a Laker fan. I didn't have to go through a massive change until 2016, but even some of those guys played with Kobe.
I just typed the first comment quick cause I was listening as I was driving, but glad you posted this. Costas absolutely nailed the current state of the NBA. I started watching recently, but I'm subscribed. I appreciate your content, and looking forward to more.
bron mopped the floor wit jordan at 16 years old
Believing the words of a known pathological liar is pretty sad man.
Bob Costas nailed it man! he described the NBA today and this was in 1998. Its one reason why its so hard as a fan to invest in a player you know if you don't win a title in his first 2 years he's likely going to demand a trade so why buy a jersey> why invest in the story? Curiosity got the best of me here, if the Bulls return do you think Rodman stays or leaves? if he leaves who do you think replaces him?
Crazy how he predicted this 27 years ago lol. If the Bulls didn't get blown up i have no doubt Rodman stays. He saw phil as a father and mj as a big brother. The only question mark would be Scottie because of the money situation.
(PBD Podcast) "Couldn't Win Without Me" - Scottie Pippen BREAKS SILENCE On Jordan, NBA Legacy & Bulls Dynasty 2:04:31mins interesting he talk about social media ruined the NBA, why he & mj never friends, Zion and modern NBA mindset, NBA today NBA lack toughness and fan connecting, debate mj vs Labron vs Pippen
I just saw this pop up on my feed today. I can't wait to checj it out
Thanks for finding this and reading it out. MJ's mentality and perspective is hella impressive.
Bro killed his own legacy in 2011. Everything he's done either has a Superteam or a Steroids asterisks next to it.
He ain't lying!!! The Nba is horrible now. Did you find that Doc Ellis no hitter on LSD video??? Can't wait to see your reaction to that one😅😂😅
Lebron isn’t near as good of a player as Charles Barkley was
It's crazy that guys are much friendlier (at least openly) with each other these days but there's not much in the way of brotherhood with players now as far as sticking together goes. With free agency being the way it is and player empowerment we'll never get that back
I agree. Those bonds were built by sticking around during the hard times. Now they leave when things get tough so that level of brotherhood is gone.
That bear is outstanding!
Maybe the Warriors were the last such team, at least pre-Durant. Now I'd say the Nuggets fit the best, we'll see about the Thunder and maybe some others. But in general I agree, the teams keep changing a lot every year. There's not much time for fans to feel attached to particular players.
Exactly. The Warriors were the closest to this and before them the Spurs imo.
Dude! Where did you find this? This was very poignant. I’ve been on the record not being a fan of Bon Costas, the play by play man. But when he was reporting or providing insight on a live broadcast - he was second to none. And his words about the state of the future NBA was so spot on. It hit me emotionally. It was like he was predicting the future of what the league would be, post-Jordan. Just wow
As usual I found this through a comment suggestion. This one definitely got me emotional too. Costas saw the future here and he knew to say goodbye in his own way to the golden years. I wasn't expecting this to be so spot on.
It’s a shame my birth year was Mjs last year as a bull. Good thing there’s the internet 👍🏽
I know. TH-cam is so great for old bball footage
I was born '82 when MJ was about to launch. I've gone back and watched his first 3 games in its entirety, just to try and feel the expectations this man had entering the league. His first 3 shots in the NBA said it all.. AMAZIN
Can you imagine anybody having such heartfelt words for LeBron James?? Hell no because nothing about him is authentic and it’s hard to give a real genuine going away speech to a fabricated person. Just sad that this was the last pure era of basketball, and it ended with the GOAT. 💪🏾💜
☝️
::A little off topic:: something i miss abput the old days was how, as hoopers, we respected the old cats. When i was a teenager, the old guys never let me play with them, but if they did? I would play scrappy and be a role player, do all the little things and always devert to them. Because i knew they were better and knew the game. Now a days? Kids step on the court, think they know everything, talk down on the old G's and shoot a milliom threes, thinking that somehow overshadows text book basketball. So radically different.
Yup! We weren't entitled thats why. We knew we had to earn our keep in order to be accepting in so we did the dirty work first then showed our talents later
I didn’t see a single Dr J game. But I knew he was awesome and I didn’t talk shit. Gervin. Wilt. I even knew of Mikan. None of this “plumbers and firemen” bullshit.
Nostradamus… Nostra-Costas
Ooooooh I like it
There was never a debate. EVER. The young ones just have never seen greatness. Until they do...
I think the viewership of the game is partly on the media companies and nba. I don't see many games on the primary stations of CBS, NBC, ABC or Fox like they were in 90s
That's the problem you were born in 1998 the NBA they had about seven more years at Best of a real basketball so yeah you never saw anything I was born in 82, I don't even watch the NBA anymore it's so bad unless it's the finals or a conference finals playoff games this is the only time I've been watching any more so awful back then it was f******must see tv
Goat
It's not even close Michael Jordan's the best of all time. Reggie Miller's my favorite basketball player of all time but Michael Jordan is the goat for sure
Arguing that Lebron and MJ had the same amount of help is absolutely laughable - and I wrote a comment to that effect under the original video. Lebron literally built one of the greatest super teams (on paper) in Miami for himself to win multiple titles. He then formed another super team with Kyrie and Love + a great supporting cast when returning to Cleveland. He then recruited a top 5 player and MVP candidate in AD to go ring chasing with him in L.A. That's 3 team changes, all happening to build super teams around himself on new teams he joined.
Man nothing beats the old NBA
Even the commentating was so much better
@TheRealMindCrime definitely
I’ve been trying to find old bulls games. I wonder if there are a lot of 2014 “summertime” spurs games available. Motion offense. Defense. Nobody standing around.
The NBA’s cockroach 😂 That is the best thing I’ve ever heard!
Very well said....Shaq was the lebron's prototype.....Kobe you will be missed forever ❤️
I remember when I saw this and I also remember tears streaming down my face. I felt like I lost something precious. However the Spurs and Tim Duncan kept it going for at least another 10 years
Agreed. Thanks to the spurs and kobe combating them as much as he could some of this survived for another 10 years
@TheRealMindCrime absolutely. I was never a fan of Kobe but I respected the way he played and respected the game of basketball
My favorite videos are when the Gen-Z's and later Millenial's first discover the real MJ. Except for potentially music, the first time they really see Michael is the first time they realize that we Gen-X and the Boomers actually aren't all insane and actually know some of what we're talking about. The mixtape and the "Ultimate GOAT Comparison" videos have done more to aid this generation than we can quantify presently. :D
With Balco
Poetic finish by Jordan & Costas
100%
NBA sucks, unwatchable, cut salaries 80-90%! I can’t stand Shaq (Dunk with panties on) and Charles Barkley (Super Low IQ) and their insipid talks. Retire them!
Basketball is about gravity, MJ has it, LeBronze doesn't. Also, the Warriors aren't the best team of all time, they didn't get a championship that year whereas the Bulls did. In addition, the longer LeRoids stays in the league the worse and worse he is going to look and people's last memory of him will be pretty bad.
Costas. One of the broadcast GOATs 🐐
Absolutely. He was an artist in that field
One of my faves, because I knew one of the people (acquaintance not friend) UIC, my Uni, had few great players (though we played against Potapenko, the dude drafted one ahead of Kobe). Sherell Ford, drafted by the sonics. There was some interview, Costas talking to Hersey Hawkins. In the background Sherell clowning. Costas: Who’s that? Hawkins: (turns around) that’s Sherell Ford, one of our rookies. Costas: I guess he has to get on Tv now because he sure ain’t playing in any games. Ouch, 5’7 Costas dunking hard on 6’7 Ford.
I miss the days of loyalty too man. Different cultural things. I miss the old days
Yeah. That goes beyond basketball too. I miss loyalty in general
I’m a 71+ year old retired prior nba fan, the game is unwatchable. The thing that really torques me are the outlandish salaries; LeBrain get paid $1,000,000 a week for his trash performance. That is plain insulting! How much should he make? Easy for me: $0.00! He’s been overpaid for a long time, the nba can GO TO HELL ESPECIALLY LEBRAIN!
(New Heights) "I was unguardable" - LeBron James on facing Michael Jordan in pickup basketball 1:40mins your thoughts?
Just watched it. Lebron is a liar and it suuuure sounds like he's lying here too lol
@ He said before in a different interview he didn't even get a chance to play with MJ now all of a sudden he painted the narrative so that his fans will see "he carried MJ at 16 that's why he's the GOAT" or "he cooked MJ at 16 MJ's a fraud".
U knew he was capping when he said he was posting up lol He doesn’t even do that now.
@@TheRealMindCrimelmao it’s true you just too stuck in your beliefs to believe it
@@Rumble225-qe7fydo you even watch him play bro he goes in the post all the time sped
Even here they dont mention Isiah and the Pistons

He could play meaningful minutes off the bench for a championship team. But we all know he wouldn’t do that
Get rid of for sure contracts so then you could just fire players
