its just such a damn shame its limited to just THREE time signatures. They could have at least included a freeform looper if they were going to be that restrictive.

I just got my rhythm partner and LOVE it. I would be great fun if you could recommend some drum patterns for calypso, country, rock….. I find it hard to match a pattern to a song. Do you know of any lists of drum patterns? Thanks in advance for your help. Peggy

Can the pedals be assigned for each song or do you have to reprogram the pedals each time you want a different assignment (eg splash and start stop on song 1, congas and drums on song 2). Thanks
Hi Meg. I have a question regarding the Boss DR-01S. I want to use it live in performance. I have the count-in programmed. I want to have a break (using a footswitch pedal). When I re-enter the rhythm (by footswitch) the count-in comes on again. I don't want this, I just just want the rhythm to resume.
When you connect the Boss pedal, and programs for example turn the shaker on and off in preset 1, does it double for all 50 presets? Wasn't it supposed for each song to be able to choose which instruments to activate and deactivate, without affecting the other songs?
Great little unit but I wish it had a "swing" function so it sounded a little looser, and that you could trigger fills besides the one cymbal crash so it wouldn't just be the same beat over and over.
I just bought one and starting to mess with. Going through the sounds, but where do you find the sound effects? It says in the manual there are sounds of surf, birdsong and rain, and it shows as part of the metronome mode, but I can’t find them. Probably wouldn’t use them but wondering where they are. Thanks

Seems like this thing is pretty useful for a lot of things. I'd like to see real analog samples, and more of a basic drum kit orientation with lots and lots of variation for slow or slower songs. They have a good idea but if they tailored this to more of a drumkit that focuses on the acoustic guitar player I think it would be a big hit.
Theres a big problem with it. When you turn to a boss pedal, and you choose for instant activate an desactivate one instrument, in preset one, he does it for all the presets, doesn't make song by song. It's Like a bug, and no one in the company can resolve that problem... And in the begining, it works fine, saved changes Song by song. Money back, unfortunaly.

Agreed. While I love percussion with acoustic, full & varied drum samples from a drum kit should be central.
