Hello. I have a question regarding the Boss DR-01S. I want to use it live in performance. I have the count-in programmed. I want to have a break (using a footswitch pedal). When I re-enter the rhythm (by footswitch) the count-in comes on again. I don't want this, I just just want the rhythm to resume.
mine wont set the break using the instructions ... nothing happens after i assign it.
I have this device. great for expensive click track but not for performing. Boss engineers should make another version more suited for live playing. I like the machine. But extremely limited. Really not sure how anyone can use this live.
You can connect it to a PA system or speaker or amp.
Does not have a fill option wish is great for a live situation
How do I get a double stroke sound or feel on the DR 01S. ?
Can the fade out feature be operated via a foot switch ? Thanks

Boss ,why dont you add a rotary button for dr-01?...for easy control...

Should be foot controls like the sr16 . And better transitioning , it’s a great idea, and the break is stupid, I can do it yourself just stopping and starting it again.
This device together with a foot switch is fairly expensive compared to similar things. It'd be nice if next version (1) is smarter/better in terms of transitioning into the next verse or chorus, and (2) higher quality sound/speaker.
What is 'similar things'? Any good tips?

I have already recorded 50 songs on Boss-01s.
Everything always went well.
I control the machine through your Boss FS-6 pedal.
I record a theme, and choose pedal B to turn instruments of my choice on and off.
For example in the F1 theme when clicking Pedal B activates and deactivates the Drum, but in Music F2, I chose to activate and deactivate the tambourine.
But now when activating and deactivating an instrument in a song, it replicates for all recorded songs.
I've reset the machine and it's still the same.
Will it be from the Pedal, will it be from the machine?
Is it a machine malfunction?
what do i do now? I have concerts every week...
Or am I doing something wrong? I don't think so, because I already had all the songs recorded and this happened later.
Instead of just playing the sounds, it would be helpful to have someone explaining this. It’s not really intuitive which is why customers need support and explanation. Thanks

Yeah, expecting timely support from Roland/Boss usually doesn't end well.

its ok, too dear for what it is, sounds like a computer drummer, a fancy metronome . £200.
