Nice startup video. I have been debating whether or not to get a BB since I started a couple of years ago. Today my BB Mini 2 arrives. This is very helpful, but I’m sure it will take me some time to get used to the drumming.
Good review. I’m on the fence about getting one of these. It seems like it’s fairly useful for practicing, and that’s primarily what I would use it for. Thanks for posting.
Glad it was helpful! I sell a lot of these as they are great for practicing and songwriting. Also really helps when you get the external footswtich too.
you all prolly dont care at all but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost my password. I love any help you can give me!
@Merrick Nash I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Hey Ive got a question. Ive got a show coming up in a few moths and I need to know how to set my pedal to do Country 8- Str 8. I don't understand what STR-8 means or how to get it on my beatbuddy mini 2. Can someone please help me out here.
Yes- 6 I believe. I like the blues and old time. Old time is like most 60’s , ‘70s. I immediately went into Pretty Woman and Move Over/ Janis, Slade!. The reggae is nice.
I hooked up my guitar to the footswitch input and footswitch to gtr input, it made strange sound and kept scrolling from genre's, when I realized what I did ,drums don't sound good ,tinty, did I ruin the pedal?
@@ThePedalGuy , my beat buddy mini 2 works fine now , figured it out with pa settings ,sounds great ! They are pretty sturdy , also thanks for the tip on using the extension pedal to change genre's and song ,I've been having to bend over each time ,keep pedaling ..
Awesome video, wish I'd come here first... my ditto looper is currently last on my pedal board, would you put this in front or behind the looper? Can't wait to try it out!
Hi. It's been about 15 years since I used a SR16 so I don't know if I would be the right person to answer that. What I can tell you is that they really serve different purposes as the BeatBuddy is used as a pedal. I would probably not take a SR16 to a gig.
What about putting the Beat buddy in the FX loop of the amp (along with my looper)? Would that be better than putting in your pedal chain? My instinct is that it's better overall to have the thing on a seperate amp altogether... I feel like having coming out of the same speaker as the guitar signal takes away from the guitar sound?
Pedal bro, I use a TC electronics acoustic play and a looper and mini tube screamer, so should I put the beat buddy after everything or before the mini tube screamer? Thanks!
Thanks, great video. Question: about pedal location on pedal board , if I have a looper where does the BeatBuddy go at the end after the looper or just before it??
Oh and 2 more things thanks for the intro turn off feature. I had no idea. And I plug my trio foot control into it and one of the stomp buttons was gor cymbal crashing, pretty cool.
I'm using the multitrack setting on my 4Hn Pro to record song demos, how would the 16bit and the 24 bit difference between the Big Beatbuddy and the Mini2 effect the recording? BTW, thank you for your videos, they're great!
Honestly I don’t think it will make that much of a difference audio wise as it’s still an A/D conversion but the large BeatBuddy IMO is a much better value due to its overall features
Thanks for your question. The sound set included with the BeatBuddy mini is permanently set. There’s no way to change it. If you want to do this I would suggest spending a little more money and go for the main BeatBuddy.
Hey there, creating a setlist is not possible on the BeatBuddy Mini 2, but this feature is available on the full-size BeatBuddy! Check out our video on how to create playlists/setlists on the BeatBuddy: th-cam.com/users/shortsZene7bXVJC0
Can you please tell me put the pedal comes with an adapter and is it in stereo. So when you hit feels and you hear different symbols and Different Drums Do they pan back and forth so it actually sounds like a drum kit
You can pan the drums in the mix. This is just a drummer. I tell you , in the future, there will be no need for drummer’s. They can go work on their cars or fight fires. What do you call guys that hang around musicians?? C’mon, you know that one. Oh, spellcheck bro!
Hey there, we recommend plugging the BeatBuddy Mini 2 or BeatBuddy direct in to a PA, mixer, or full-range speaker for the highest quality of sound. A full-range speaker can include a bass, keyboard, or acoustic/vocal amp. Also, it has the possibility of blowing out your guitar amp. But if you do want to add some cool effects to the beats you definitely can! Just pay attention to the amp/speaker you are using :)
Funny that these drum patterns never seem to get blues and swing patterns right and these two music styles are probably the most useful ones ...I bought a Boss FC 500 loop station has 55 of the worst drum patterns very unuseful 😭

What if you are running a mini 2 signal into input 2 of a PA main, and using guitart and effects into its input 1 ?
Can I connect this to my focusrite and record live?
Of course
Can we add own customized rhythms?? If yes, through sd card or any other way??
I just got mine today and I have the same question
Is there reggae drums on the beat buddy 2 if so how many

Will the included pedal that came with nux mg 30 work with beat buddy and mini version
Can you input utube music from your phone or laptop to a beatbuddy mini 2 and will it sync
You can input any analog sound into the BeatBuddy mini but it doesn’t sync.
If you put the beatbuddy through the effects loop would that stop the problem when playing through the dirty channel?
If you want to keep the drums clean, use either the FX loop on your amp or an aux in if that's available.

Yes it should work with any two button footswitch
How do you change time signature? Can’t find anything
You need to select a song/style with a different time signature. You can’t do this in real time while the song is playing back as I recall.
