  • The BeatBuddy Mini 2 Review. This pedal made by Singular Sound is a solid and affordable solution for the singer songwriter that's looking for a good source of beats and drum kits for every music genre and style you can imagine. In this video, I will take you through a quick start review of the main features, where to place it in the signal chain, and then audition the sounds and styles. Watch this review to start drumming in five minutes.
    0:00 Intro
    1:00 Signal Chain
    1:50 Pedal DLayout
    3:17 Start/Stop Songs
    4:26 Genres
    6:52 Conclusion
    This is the little brother to the flagship BeatBuddy and it includes many of the core features found in the BeatBuddy, but in a smaller pedal and modest price point. If you want the sounds of the BeatBuddy but don't need advanced features like MIDI Sync or a larger sized pedal, then the BeatBuddy Mini 2 should be the right choice.
    This video covers everything you need to know about the BeatBuddy Mini, including where to place it on your pedalboard for the best sonic results. Be sure to come back for future tutorials on this pedal including how to use it with the optional external footswitch and we might even do some jam sessions with it. Enjoy.

    What about putting the Beat buddy in the FX loop of the amp (along with my looper)? Would that be better than putting in your pedal chain? My instinct is that it's better overall to have the thing on a seperate amp altogether... I feel like having coming out of the same speaker as the guitar signal takes away from the guitar sound?

    • @ThePedalGuy
      @ThePedalGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      It would likely sound better if it were going to it's own amp. You can also connect it to an AUX in on your amp if you have one available.

      Hey there, we recommend plugging the BeatBuddy Mini 2 or BeatBuddy direct in to a PA, mixer, or full-range speaker for the highest quality of sound. A full-range speaker can include a bass, keyboard, or acoustic/vocal amp. Also, it has the possibility of blowing out your guitar amp. But if you do want to add some cool effects to the beats you definitely can! Just pay attention to the amp/speaker you are using :)
